I think he looks good in all those colors maybe the colors of his tattoos could change according to his moods like red anger, Grey depressed, Blue and light blue happy, or they represent different moods
but if one then #3
But I really like it if he had mood tattoos it would mean if he was red not to mess with him

1 is most pleasing to me, even if I'm in the minority on this one. ^..^;

Number 4, I think the colors would make it slightly obnoxious if it were perma that way.
Save those cool colors for the holidays! That would make it even better!

I personally think 3 wouldn't be a good choice as far as character design goes because it steals attention of your character as whole and instead draws it towards the tattoos. When I saw all other colors I first saw your character then the tattoos, the light blue on 3 did the exact opposite and I think a lot of people here did too and thought it was a good thing. Just my two cents
