My Situation, Furry U, and Commissions

So wanted to put this up and let you guys know whats going on.
So... I find myself in a really financial bind these days... and it's making me think about a lot of stuff. It has been a good few months since I lost my job in the animation industry and I am really struggling to get by these day. I have been doing commissions like crazy, every night for the last 3 weeks. Working from 8pm - 4am, trying to make what I can to stay alive. But it's getting hard. So I have been looking at other options to make a living on. And so I have had a few ideas.
1) Follow up to Furry U. (Chapter 2 or Redo)
So not to long ago, the comic I did years ago, went up on a few sites,

and a lot of people arrived on this page and began asking me about it. I was something I did 6 years ago, in the heat of college, to try and make some extra money... But... it failed. With a total of 1 copy bought, and dozens of hours wasted. So I scraped the idea of more.
Buut... with the massive growth in interest about it, I would like to put this idea out for you all.
IF, I were to continue the comic. Would people be interested? Also, would people be interested in me doing a Patreon in order to fund it. I would need to have a certain amount of supporter to pull it off, and enough to make it financially viable. But! would people want that?
Let me know.
2) Large scale animation project.
This is also one I have been toying with for a while, even as far as making ideas and doing concept work with my good friend and fellow artist
gillpanda but without proper funding, it is impractical for us/ me.
What do you guys think.
I would be Adult/Sex based, but would be all hand drawn and done classically.
This would also likely be done via Patreon.
Let me know.
3) Helpful donations.
I really hate doing this, as I never want to feel like I'm begging for money. But if you guys want to donate to a starving artist. I would love you forever.

4) More Commissions
As of 3 weeks ago, I will likely be doing commissions indefinitely until I find another means to support me and my girlfriend. So commissions will remain open for a while. So feel free to contact me.

Also I have heard about a new group chat server where you can have custom sticker, so if someone is interest. You can talking to me about it and I may start doing that too.

Personally, I'd go for a redo then on into Chapter 2. I agree with the concerns that the plot doesn't make too much since as the main character is a "furry" in the sense of an anthropomorphic animal...but also is scared of furries? Maybe he could be a self-hating type of racist (they actually do exist in real life) or maybe he was a human once and now he's not? Not sure... but to me, it is a little confusing and hard to ignore.
That's not to say I hate the comic (I like it!), just I think that it should be revisited and explained a little more. Sometimes, even a quick blurb of explanation in the voice-over would do it and would require no new art. :3 It's all up to you though! Could even just toss it into Chapter 2 somehow...
That all being said, I still say Patreon is a good idea. You could do what some artists do and release the pages on your Patreon then wait a few days or week or whatever to put it up for free. Basically, get people hooked with the comic and wanting to see more...so much so that they'll pay to see it early. X3
(EDIT: I hope you don't mind the (hopefully coming off as constructive...) criticism. It's just something I was wondering when reading the comic then reading some of the comments on it. From what I can see, it's pretty popular and just needs a bit of clarification.)
Oh and by the way, off topic, but you like really cute in the picture of "starving artist", would be nice to see more of your character : )

Try to use the little bit of left-over contacts you may have (preferably higher-named ones) and see how many 'collaboration YCH auctions' you can get, it'll get you a bazillion marketing points and will probably also get you a few decent enough bidding wars where the split-price might still be worth it despite the considerably harder work it might be to time things properly with other people.
Patreon etc are honestly kinda 'get lucky or don't' if you want a honest opinion.
I've seen some people with amazing art that haven't had traction beyond 100-200 dollars a month, I've seen people with dubitable work quality (or amounts) that are literally making 15k+
It really is a jackpot!
