An interesting day- and Door hanger's upgrade!

I'm having a bad habit of writing very long journals x3 so for those of you not inclined to read it all: here's the summary:
lots of bad things happen, last minute expenses and troubles occur, many hours spent trying to fix it all, most things are fixed or in the process.

I braved the public eye and had my door hangers upgraded.
Before they were not hole punched (even though I ordered them that way) but now they are with an even better placed hole (in the dead space where there is no art) and they will be laminated with thick 10mil lamination!
They will still sell for $10 though so even more reason to buy them! especially with all the manual hole punching and lamination cutting I did X3
Got a DSI, Professor whats his name and the curious village, Zelda phantom Hourglass (not really enjoying zelda... curious village rocks though- I hate 11 o'clock now)
I'm seriously indebted to my grandma now, have practically zero spending money (awr... no bad dragon toy now X3)
Happier now, a little worried that I wont get all the pokepals done in time but I'll try my best!

Anyhow, everything else for AC is a go, can't wait to go X3 I'm a little upset though that I can't bring vore snacks to AC :( had my phone not died (in the literal since not the out of juice one) then I would be using that money for Sweedish Fish instead of repair work... o well,

Now- for the longer version
Yesterday was filled with many ups and downs. A few days prior my precious brick for a phone came with me for a little swim at the pool, thus killing itself in the process. So I spent a few hours yesterday running around the ATnT store and then to a local repair store. Hopefully they can fix it otherwise I'm looking at a heftier charge to buy a new one.
I also found out my AC ticket is nonrefundable since I ended up not being able to get anyone for the trip :/ so o well, no extra $90 to help pay for broken phone. Ah well, I'll be sending marl his T-shirt and Badge after AC- BUT I'm going to punish him and not let him see the badges until they arrive at his door step X3
to top things though my door hangers came in! I loved them they were pretty much perfect! But... apparently they forgot to hole punch them... so it was more of a vore card rather than a hanger... since it lacked the ability to... well hang.
So with only a few days left before I needed them I had to some how finish them!
well my first trip was directly to office depot to see if they can hole punch them since well... they were supposed to come that way. Yes I braved the public eye and flashed around my hangers in public X3 Not that bad actually, most people don't really care. I was a bit nervous thinking some peoples responses might be a bit awkward from seeing pokemon eat each other but X3 nope, pretty normal atmosphere actually. If they did care then well... they know what it's all about and thus are just as tainted by it as I :P
So the lady there said simply that office depot's don't have what's called a die cutter which is apparently an industry slandered device for cutting circles in things. they'd have to outsource it which would take longer than I have.
She suggested I call customer service online and have them order me a new batch since they screwed up my order. Did so but... well it would take 2 weeks minimum and apparently no way to pay for quicker shipping. Having a foreign customer care rep who's accent was so thick and wouldn't take a single breather to let me speak kinda annoyed me a bit.
So what ended up happening from there was many calls to stores around town. Apparently they ALL out source door hanger jobs to other factories with die cutters. and all take half a month to do so.
Finally I could find ONE store in town that at the very least had an archaic manual door hanger hole puncher. So I ended up punching every hanger by hand, making sure to keep every single one in complete alignment and not to damage any of them.
Bought some bubble wrap too.
In a spark of genius I thought- wait... why not make these well worth $10 and laminate them? So another few hours hunt to find the ONE store that had a good and thick lamination (it was well around 9pm by now) and with a bit of ingenuity the employee was able to Jerry Rig one of the button cutters to perfectly fit around the center hole to cut the lamination. If you don't cut it a bit a ways away from the edges the lamination doesn't seal right and air bubbles pop up and peeling occurs. The rest will have to be cut by me unless I want to pay more. So all in all it's about a $70 payment for both the lamination and the service for cutting inside the hole.
I got a preview hanger who's center was cut horribly by me but the lamination works amazingly awesome X3 and I have to say if Office depo didn't screw up well... I'd of ended up with a much lack luster version of the hangers than I wanted! A smaller hole and probably no lamination!
So lesson learned: Good things can come from bad happenings.
Also found out that Tempforce, a job hunting service, got their info wrong and I wont be getting a job after AC, well not at the VA clinic :/
So no job after AC. Maybe, maybe not. Apparently for once Gamestop is looking for employees and I so happened to mossy there today to buy my DC I, after a bit of deciding I got The curious village, and zelda (not really having all too much fun with zelda right now, the village though is awesome X3, damn you the hour of 11!!! Everyone forgets your trickery in that clock puzzle X3 )
Anyways, the employee graciously let me use him as a reference for the job! So there's hope X3
I am however really in-dept to my abuela as I kinda used her emergency money to buy the DSi ^^;
With all my new expenses though, the door hanger upgrades, the cell phone repair, and a few minor other things, I'm looking at $0 spending money so... no bad dragon toy DX o well x3 If my hangers sell then I'll have--- no wait... that will be money to pay back my abuela X3 never mind.
Speaking of money, thank you to ALL who've commissioned me in the past few months for them. I've raised near $500 I think... maybe $400. But without you this trip wouldn't nearly be as possible! I'm also very sorry for those who I still have to draw for. I promise whatever I don't finish will be done after AC - it's covered by my nom guarantee! (limited while supplies and regeneration lasts)

Hopefully Marl should be able to fly in either wed or Thursday. That's yet to be determined.
The next day is Thursday. I'll be hanging with :magetorment: and his sister, special surprise if you find me on thursday ;3 no prize other than maybe a hug. Praise goes to Lati for what I'm talking about X3 you know what I mean! I'll be in the Westin rooming with Laticune and doing general precon stuff. Most likely go to the zoo with Raven later that day. For the rest of the con I stay with lati in her room at the westin.
At 7pm Raven and my Vore's Night Out Room party begins X3 It'll be in Lati's room! We have about 10 people going now and we're capping at 20! Feel free to reserve or stop buy, make sure to bring a vore related snack! X3 there will be pizza all will chip in for, drinks, videogames, and a movie or two!

Other than that I'll just be around doing ... things X3 you'll find out when you go if you manage to see me. As well as some artsy stuff like drawing jams and stuff.

Well I do enjoy the occasional Rum and coke or straight rum (mm... mango rum...*thwack* X3 gotta love animaniacs ) but for the most part I'm going to be a good little under 21 year old can't drink but can have sex and get aids minor.

Pokemon Vore Door Hangers!

Using office depot for printing It cost me around $100 for 50 double sided full color prints - 12pt glossy cover. Basically think Manga Book covers, that thick and glossy and color quality.
The hangers are in and are currently being laminated in 10 mil lamination! That's really thick stuff and the hangers will not last a LONG time! And they are water proof? X3 The holes themselves now are in dead space area so no artwork is cut over!
They will cost $10 (paypal payment and or shipping not included)
I might get a table at AC but I doubt it if my other friends aren't going to.
O also for those going to AC tell me or shadowravenx if you'd like to come to what we want to call:
The cap is around 20 ish people (maybe less) so make sure to reserve a spot!

The idea is this - You and a friend each pay $5, you'll get one image of whatever you want involving you two in your pokémon avatars. Don't have a pokémon avatar? Never fear, use one of your characters and I'll gladly transform him or her into the lovable pokémon of your choice!
Don't have a friend to join you? Fear not! The second part of poké-pals is to bring new people together! If you're paying alone, tell me what your likes and dislikes are, then you'll be put on a solo-list. When more people show on the list you'll be matched with them based on your interests and dislikes. Through the powers of the internet (and most likely ustream) you and your partner will chat it up in the chat box and find out what you both would love to have drawn!
Remember, poké - pals only cost $5 per person! Two person's per image (this way each friend gets special attention <3 ) and each image is of a high end colored sketch quality, actually more along the lines of a good colored line drawing which usually fetches $20. PAYMENT: I use Paypal and I accept Money Orders, we'll discuss payment after the image has been discussed. There will be a $ .50 paypal service charge per person. This is because doing small paypal payments is actually more expensive because paypal charges 2.9 percent + .30 cents. What was once a 2.9 percent charge is actually a 10% charge because of the added + .30 cents for every payment. In the end without the service charge, it would mean $80 that I would have to pay when I reached my $800 goal.)

Using office depot for printing It cost me around $100 for 50 double sided full color prints - 12pt glossy cover. Basically think Manga Book covers, that thick and glossy and color quality.
The hangers are in and are currently being laminated in 10 mil lamination! That's really thick stuff and the hangers will not last a LONG time! And they are water proof? X3 The holes themselves now are in dead space area so no artwork is cut over!
They will cost $10 (paypal payment and or shipping not included)
I might get a table at AC but I doubt it if my other friends aren't going to.

Poké - Pals is a new way to have fun with your friends, in poke-furry fashion!
The idea is this - You and a friend each pay $5, you'll get one image of whatever you want involving you two in your pokémon avatars. Don't have a pokémon avatar? Never fear, use one of your characters and I'll gladly transform him or her into the lovable pokémon of your choice!
Don't have a friend to join you? Fear not! The second part of poké-pals is to bring new people together! If you're paying alone, tell me what your likes and dislikes are, then you'll be put on a solo-list. When more people show on the list you'll be matched with them based on your interests and dislikes. Through the powers of the internet (and most likely ustream) you and your partner will chat it up in the chat box and find out what you both would love to have drawn!
Remember, poké - pals only cost $5 per person! Two person's per image (this way each friend gets special attention <3 ) and each image is of a high end colored sketch quality, actually more along the lines of a good colored line drawing which usually fetches $20. Every one is allowed to participate, even your friendly, neighborhood, vorish eevee >:3 (actually it's a safe bet that no matter what you want done I won't mind drawing my character doing it X3 ) and ANYTHING goes, it's up to you and your friend~!
Those that make the most friends (participate in poké-pals the most) might even see themselves in a return group friendship image after Anthro Con! :3

PAYMENT: I use Paypal and I accept Money Orders, we'll discuss payment after the image has been discussed. There will be a $ .50 paypal service charge per person. This is because doing small paypal payments is actually more expensive because paypal charges 2.9 percent + .30 cents. What was once a 2.9 percent charge is actually a 10% charge because of the added + .30 cents for every payment. In the end without the service charge, it would mean $80 that I would have to pay when I reached my $800 goal.)

A note to those who have commissioned me or I've owed art to prior to a month ago but have yet to receive the finished product: (Jamie, Pat, Shadow, Hyper) I'm deeply sorry that I have yet to finish what you've payed for me to draw. You've all been patient and I've been lazy. I can't promise your work will be done this month but after AC is through I'll make sure to plow through everything I have left! (while still retaining quality of course!)
But, think of the benefits, the longer it's put off the better quality your commission will be as my art gets better ^^;
I suppose I wish you all the best for everything (phone, AC etc etc) and don't worry too much if you don't get all the images done. We can all wait for when you come back. ^.^
