Roy Pounds in the Hospital

"Around 2pm on Monday, Roy came up to Marc Shermiester's place complaining about chest, pain and aches. Marc drove him to Verdugo Hills Emergency, where they ran some tests, and told him he'd suffered a heart attack, with blockages. They stabilized then transported him to Glendale Adventist Hospital's ICU. There, a specialist performed an angioplasty(sic), which improved his vital signs. Marc saw him last around 10:30pm, groggy but cognitive. A second procedure is "on hold" until he improves more. He'll be there for several days at the very least.

illness in the past month- DON'T GO!! it could be very very very bad for everyone in ICU not just Roy."
My prayers are with Roy.

Just got off the phone with Roy; he's on his feet and moving around, and is in sufficiently good shape to be transferred to a regular ward.
As one who's had to monitor his own heart issue the past few years, I'm very glad they were able to alleviate some of Roy's blockage with the angioplasty. Sounds like there are more than just the one they treated, though. And once you've had a heart attack, the old pump is never the same. It all depends on just how much of his heart was actually affected. Am keeping my fingers crossed that it was relatively minor!
