Anyone else experience shaking/oscillating vision?
8 years ago
Just a bit curious, as this is something that I have been experiencing for a little under a year now (probably longer but only started documenting it months ago)
An experience in which eveerything in my field of vision is shaking or oscillating rapidly from left-to-right / side-to-side. The shaking intensifies the longer it lasts.
Only horizontally, never vertically, diagonally or sporadically in multiple directions.
When this occurs, those who I have asked to look into my eyes see no movement, so my eyeball is not looking around on its own. But they described the pupil as being very large, dialated.
The shaking lasts seconds or even a minute or two, and feels like vertigo and makes me pretty dizzy.
It used to only occur when I read text, I thought it tu be triggered from the left-to-right tracking movement if reading words, but if just occurred as I was looking at something in the shelf several feet away and persisted much longer than it ever has before.
I hope to see an optometrist soon, but was curious as to if anyone else has experienced this sensation and may have some knowledge as to potential causes.

Never had it for more than a few seconds though
I have noticed it happens more when I'm tired/stressed
Other than that, I don't have much for possible reasons
But I experience very similar issues that impact my eyesight and activity a great deal.
Hope they sort it out for you ;_ ;
It took me years to finally see mine anD come to find out I havery glaucoma...
I was 24 when I found this out and was one of his youngest to have glaucoma.
Go see your doctor before it gets worse asap
Whatever it is, I hope you're able to identify and address it!
