anyone have a purple mattress? (iso mattress suggestions)
Currently making plans over the next few months to replace our current tempurpedic because I haven't gotten a single good night's sleep in a year, my pressure points get cut off and I wake up over and over with a dead arm because i always end up sleeping on my side and the bed just lets me fucking sink to oblivion because it's old AF.
If anyone has a purple I'd love to hear your opinions on it, or if you have a suggestion for any mattresses in general I'd appreciate it.

So yeah, theres that.
obviously mad libbing because i don't remember it word for word.
The TL:DR was that the reviewer is/was at some point staff of a competitor and thats what the legal battle was about. The reviewer never quite claimed the mattress caused any ill effects, more so concerned about it and was asking questions with no response but the legal hit.
It IS food safe however food safe doesn't necessarily mean safe to breath in, as you might know with some of the old vaping controversies.
I don't think theres any proof for or against the issue, stuff like that could be.... very long term, or just not happen at all.
I am... curious about non-traditional mattresses like the casper but im still more likely to go with a more traditional spring mattress, just because its what im familiar with and know it works.
and yeah that's fair, just looking around price wise alone the "online mattresses" look to be a better bang for your buck. $1100 vs $3000 is a big difference LMAO But when it comes down to it tho this is something that's massively affecting my health so the price isn't my worry - I just dont wanna make another 7 year long mistake like our current one.
I always err on the side of getting firmer than i think i need because of that.
Look at trial // return policies and how hard they would be to return, it would be terrible to invest so much money to have something you dont end up liking.

I have a Casper and I've enjoyed it quite a bit. The only reason why I've been sleeping poorly as of late is from just how stinkin' hot it is here. It was a vast improvement over my previous spring mattress that I've had for about 11 years, I was tossing and turning every night with it. I wish I could say if it was better than a tempurpedic, but I've never gotten the chance to try one, though they do let you try it for a few months and return it if you don't like it.
I hope that helps, even if just a little ^.^
My personal suggestion, and what I use myself, is a nice Stearns & Foster. They make both traditional mattresses as well as hybrids, which is the halfway point between us all foam mattress like a TempurPedic and a all traditional spring coil mattress. So you get a lot of the benefits of a memory foam mattress but you sleep a little bit more like a traditional. If your problems from the temporary pressure or with just overall Comfort on it, you might even want to steer completely away from foam. Some people just don't sleep well on foam, in that case a traditional spring coil sound mattress might work best for you.
If you have a TempurPedic now, I assume that you aren't to restricted on price point. A Stearns & Foster is still going to be less expensive than a TempurPedic would nine times out of ten, but if you're looking for something a little more inexpensive restonic is an excellent company although they don't have as much coverage as Stearns or Tempur-Pedic do. You might just have to check with the restonic website to see who your local retailer is for them.
I don't recommend the purple mattress, as it's made with some questionable additives that they use to keep it from getting moist and falling apart. We see a lot of people that come in here after having a purple for not too long and needing to replace it with something else. On top of that, there's no physical locations where you can try out a purple mattress, which I find to be the most important thing in mattress shopping is actually getting to lay down on it.
Sleepopolis has some nice breakdowns and comparisons of the various online mattresses, and also has videos to go with most of the written reviews too.
