My Uncle Passed
My uncle passed this past Sunday. It wasn't wholly unexpected as he's been in poor health for some time, but it still hit my dad hard. My folks have been taking care of the situation, getting paperwork signed, etc., but the cost of cremation, even going to the next town over for far better rates, is still pretty high and I'd like to help them out.
So I ask, would it be in poor taste to have some kind of sale to raise some money to help them out? I am unaccustomed to such situations, so I'm not sure what's appropriate.

It's not inappropriate at all. }:c I would have asked when my grandfather died if I could have. I hope you're able to raise some funds.

Ah, thanks! I was worried about it coming across as... crass, I suppose, like I was trying to take advantage of the situation or something. I really just want to help my folks out since $800+ in unexpected expenses is rough.
