300 Watchers! Hooray! So... time to request feedback!
I am pleased to announce that I finally broke the 300 mark, this weekend!
It's been a long hard road getting here with a huge amount of effort having gone into 278 submissions. Though more than any mere numbers, what I'm really proud of is having people give a damn about my work to comment, fave and talk to me about my stories and pictures, even going as far as to fund and support me through Patreon, Kofi and commissioned work. Knowing people care for my work that much and that some have even been inspired in turn makes every minute of it all worthwhile!
I don't just have 300 watchers, I have 300 of the best watchers. The kind of watcherbase that is active and involved out of all proportion to their overall size to a degree that I know some envy. Well, I appreciate that and every one of you. ^.^
So! Thank you, everyone! For everything!
That said, now that we're here, now's a good time to as some questions, such as what do you all think of how things stand with my output, where to go from here... and should I attempt to reach a wider audience? Logically speaking, as someone who loves what they're doing, I should at least ask the question; what could I be doing better?
278 Main Gallery submissions (plus 24 in scraps) for 300 watchers could be considered a poor ratio, though I have personally always accepted that I was always going to have a niche appeal, for a number of reasons;
In general, the majority of my content is mostly-feral, Pokemon smut of variable gender preferences (at the least, hetrosexual, homosexual (M/M and F/F,) bisexual and hermaphrodite are all covered in my gallery.) Incorporating some light fetishes and some occasional harder ones. Now it could be said that this first paragraph is one of the great filters of potential watcher-base to begin with, since that's not a cocktail for everyone, to say the least.
This seems like an inherent problem. Thumbnails could potentially help, by better warning/advertising the contents of stories and pictures, but would make for smaller, less eye catching notifications in a lot of cases and furthermore... I would have to produce an awful lot of them. Think it would be worthwhile?
Story wise, I write long, elaborate pieces requiring a lot of investment on the part of the reader. Which some folk love (and I love you all for loving it!) though it's not for everyone. To some extent, that's just the kind of writer I am. I have to some extent tried to write some shorter pieces to try and please more people more often, though even these tend to be long for the kind of fap-and-go pieces some tell me are popular.
On this score, I feel like I'm already at a good balance point. I work on the longer story pieces (CP: RT - Sunshine State part 2 and PMD:A 33 are both nearly done) whilst getting out a steady steam of moderate-length commissions and occasional very-short whimsical pieces as and when I can. Stories are already a relatively rarified field in general and I think I'm doing okay. Still, if anyone feels I should be doing anything different or better, now's a good time to let me know!
Art is a different issue; I really started from scratch here and there's been a million little lessons to learn, one at a time. I didn't really start drawing until much later and at first my art was terrible. Then it was just kind of awful. There's been a looong period of transition and now? It's sort of getting there, to a standard I find acceptable, finally. There's really not been any way to shortcut this other than to just keep throwing myself into it and learning those million lessons. I remain committed. I believe I'm getting better.
There's also the issue that I prefer lineless, shaded, semi-realistic to realistic style art in a field that seems to much prefer plain coloured, lined art in a cartoonish style. Well... here I think it's just a case of me liking what I like. For better or worse, which has for the most part been worse when one is using a style which is less forgiving of imperfection. Still, getting better!
The attention my art has been getting has been on a steady ascent, so it seems like others agree with me on the getting better part, but still, is there anything anyone thinks I should know, here? Anything I should be doing differently or giving a try?
So! There are things as they stand!
Things are going well, I am proud to be where I am but I'm not so proud that I'm not prepared to sit down and listen to what others might have to tell me about what I'm doing and how I might be going about it better!
Let me know!
And if you're reading this, thanks, again!

Your writing, especially the CP: Jaunts / RT is really good. I super like the mix of naughty stuff and story progress.
Your drawing is getting better and better too ^-^ Great Job :) (Even if i sometimes find your eyes a bit creepy ^^" )
Hmm, sounds like you're generally pleased with how I'm developing! I'll just have to be sure to keep on producing more and more, then!
Heh, the important question there though is are they creepy when they're meant to be creepy? z: )
As far as your art and stories go, I rather like the fact that your stories have more... story, to them. While shorter stories would probably bring in more readers I fear your work would lose a lot of what makes it special, what makes it stand out. If you can find a nice balance that lets you do short stories without sacrificing too much of what you put into them that would be good, just don't kill yourself trying to find that balance. Your art has progressed so much since you started posting it. I see noticeable improvement with every new post. I know I don't comment enough, and when I do I don't say anywhere near enough, that is something I really need to work on. Hell, I have your last two posts sitting in my inbox, waiting for me to comment on them and I have just been too lazy to do it.
Mmm, yeah, honestly I have to agree with you, ultimately. I don't mind slipping the odd shorter piece into the mix, but ultimately, long narrative-driven pieces are what I do. I don't want to lose what makes my pieces distinct to me and lose the audience that likes what I do. I'll keep tinkering though and trying new things, which we should never be afraid to do, I think!
Well, I appreciate it every time you do comment and thankyou very much for all the feedback you've given me over the years! It seriously means a lot! I'll make sure to keep on writing and drawing so as to tempt you into doing it more.
Mmm, due to do some more female art, soon, too...
Keep up that good work of yours (well, maybe a little less teasing in the future) and climb that ladder until there are no rungs left.
Well, that's very flattering to hear and I thank you! There's little as high praise as the knowledge that I've helped inspire another!
I'll just have to keep you fed so that you keep on producing more, then!
Here's to the future and success for both of us!
