You are terrific! You're cuddly, affectionate, and yiffy. You're a very cooperative and submissive partner, too... when you're not being a demanding dom! You've seldom failed to please me. Actually, I don't recall you failing to please me. (Did I?) And I really hope I've pleased you, too. All right, time for the obligatory question: why an otter?

I should make a journal entry so I can just point to it when somebody asks.

I grew up with bullies, so I grew up hating myself for being weak; a miserable, hateful, unhappy man. I lived that way for many years. Then my father died and my mother took sick. I had to stay home and look after her. It proved to be a time when I could finally "decompress" from all the pain and frustration and let my anger turn back outwards onto those who had hurt me. I cried a lot for a while.

Then I took a good look at myself and didn't like what I saw. I determined to change myself. By that time a good friend had turned me on to Furry. So I took all the qualities I wanted to have -- friendly, playful, curious, sweet, gentle, above all happy -- and the animal they reminded me of was an otter. So I put those qualities in my mind under the label "Otter" and Otter is what I tried to be. And so far it's worked quite well! I'm a much happier, better person than I was ten years ago. I have wonderful friends whom I love and who truly like me and help me when I need them. So I'd say the project has been a success!

Wakboth, pardon me asking, but what's our fursonna animal? You don't actually say in your user page. The nose in your icon looks feline, but you mention hyenas...

Okay, that makes sense. Good to hear this technique of remaking yourself has worked so well.

As for myself, I'm not sure if I actually have a fursona as such. I guess the closest thing to that would be either Will (a hyena student) or Walker (a tough-guy lynx) from my stories, but they both are first and foremost characters in those stories. (The critter in my icon, done by Farellemoon, is indeed feline: a tiger.)

The most humiliating and personal thing I can think of to ask is this: What's your credit score?

I checked with the "usual suspect" credit agencies a couple of months ago. I'm not listed. I'm not sure if that's good or bad.

Dom or sub?

Okay, this is a little embarrassing. I've never been in that kind of relationship IRL; I've never actually done either. I've tried being dom in IM and it was rewarding. But I feel more subby and exploring that in IM is also fulfilling, and exciting! So I believe I'm sub.

...or maybe switch, leaning heavily towards sub, if that's possible. But I understand that switchers are rare!

Interesting observation from a furry psychologist of my acquaintance; there are more many subs than doms in Furry. (In the general population, it's about even.)

I consider myself a switch, leaning toward sub. In my experience it's not that unusual for people to have some interest in both sides of the game.

And I have almost no RL experience with domming or subbing. I've read plenty, written some, and RPed quite a bit, but virtually nothing live and in person.
