The Cube II

The Cube II: The Cubeaning. So you all have your Cube senarios (if you don't, pop over to http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/78559/ real quick and set it up), and now it's time to learn What It All Means.
This will be, needless to say, rife with symbolism and everyone's symbol set is unique. So consider what It All Means to You. Cuz it's more fun that way.
So:
The Cube is You.
How you view yourself and your place in the world.
How big is it? Small enough to overlook, but made of something unspeakably precious? As big as your ego or desire to embrace the world? Large enough to hold all the strange worlds that live in your head? A modest size representing your comfort with your place in the world? Small enough to keep to yourself?
What's it made of? Can you see through it? Inside it? Does it reflect the world around it? Perfectly, or warped? Is it strong and tough, or yielding and soft? Precious, common, alien or unique? Are all sides the same, or do different sides show different things?
Where is it? Dug comfortably into the earth? On a rise above it all? Floating in the clouds? Buried out of sight under the sand? Up front and center or off to the side? Even when it's the focal point of the scene, does something else steal the show? Is it on it's edge, on it's point, or rotating slowly through space?
******
The Ladder is Your Friends
A ladder helps you reach new heights.
So where is it? Hanging out near the cube? Leaned up against it for support? Leaned up against it to lead to the heights? Reaching from the cube to the sky, or the ground to the cube? Is it far away, or even held within?
What's it made of? Something strong and sturdy, worn but trusted, or rickety and flimsy?
How many rungs does it have? Dozens? One or two? Or just as many as it needs to reach where it's going?
******
The Horse is Your Lover
You don't have to be a furry to know that horses mean sex, sweaty lunging action between the legs, and companionship. So just what is your horse? Ignore its gender, a stallion for a straight guy doesn't mean he desires a dude so much as a girl with the same traits he attribute to a stallion over a mare.
So what is your horse? A mysterious Arabian stallion? A sturdy draft horse? A wild mare or mystic unicorn?
What's its behavior? Bold, steadfast, adventurous, passive, nurturing, or distant?
Is it naked and free, resting near the cube for no reason other then it's own desire? Bridled and cobbled? Bejeweled and adorned?
Where is the horse? Near your cube? On top or inside? Or off in the distance, paying no attention at all?
*******
The Storm is Trouble
And like trouble, the storm stirs your scene into action.
Where is the storm? Does it surround your cube, or is it off in the distance? Is it approaching, or retreating, or is barely noticed on the horizon? What has/is the storm doing to the horse? The ladder? The cube? Is lightning striking and sending everything fleeing, or do they stand resolute? Does the horse seek shelter in the cube, or does it rest around it, protecting it from the rain? Does the ladder lie broken, or does the rain fall off without effect? Does the storm even exist at all?
*******
The Flowers are Children
Yours or others. Or something you view as your child, whether a pet, or clients, or the boy who crashes on your couch. Are there specific flowers, or just random 'flowers' that exist in the scene? And what does it mean when the horse goes off to eat them?
*******
The Desert is the World
Even when given something like "The desert", people manage to imprint upon it. The Desert is your world. Is it the harsh and unchangeable Sahara, or the mysterious and exotic Sahara? Or an oasis where the harshness is blunted with shade and water? Or is it the desert of Antarctica, or the southwest? Forbidding and bleak, or full of hidden possibilities, or filled with unescapable natural wonders?

And that's What Your Cube Means!
There is one withering flower in the foreground... I hate kids and don't want to raise any, so that could be accurate.
My ladder leans on my cube... But that's not accurate. I don't have anybody supporting me (Don't wanna sound emo)
As for the cube, it's just off center... Though hard to get a clear picture of it. Wow, Now that I typed that out I realize that that's pretty accurate! Lately I've been having crazy identity issues...
Fun stuff, thanks for posting
I'm glad you had fun with it. :)
I think this test described my life with the accuracy of ~95%.
Very interesting stuff, very insigtful and very different from the journals I usally get to read. This was a funny experiment. Thanks for sharing it with us! I'm going to do this test for my roommate and bf as well. =)
The rest did seem quite accurate. I'd have to attribute the flowers not so much as children, but people I care lots about, and feel the need to nurture/support, and it would make much more sense. Not a children person ^^ I'm absolutely digging my horse though! *murrs* XD
Thanks for this. Was very fun and enjoyable
Maybe. :)
And yeah, you had a most excellent stallion. ;)
I'm glad you had fun with it. I was worried no one else would dig it. :)
I'm a little sad though. After giving my stallion some added thought I think I realized he's too good for me XP
But, yeah, if anything can be true about my image I want it to be the horse! XD
Seeing as my desert was nothing but black sand, no sky at all which is why there is no storm, there were a few specific flowers jutting from the sand unnaturally and I liked them because of their color but not many were there. My cube was big and seethrough made of jelly/liquid with a subtle seafoam green tint, the ladder short and made of steel resting on top of the cube, my horse was a dark blue average/normal horse with black hair but it was being crushed under the cube.
It pretty much proves how wierd I am, no? Phsycology is very fasanating to me all the same!
The horse is probably worth pondering though. Unless you're into breath control, in which case crush away. ;)
Stil, awsome awsome cube. :)
Hee I'm happy that you posted it. :3
I don't know about breathe control but I AM a sadist so I think it fits into that category, hehe. I took the crushing as a sign of control since I very much am in a relationship anyways.
Hmmm, maybe I'll draw mine like Slate did. X3
The desert, only a section of which is seen, has many dunes and a steady wind. A single dune is shown, looking almost like a small mountain or a large hill. The horizon it creates bends upwards to a rounded point with its ends on both sides reaching just under the vertical halfway point of the picture.
The cube is a large, smooth chunk of sapphire, off to the left of the picture. It rests on the side of the dune, untouched by the wind or blowing sand. All it reflects is seen as calm and deep blue. One could in fact use it as a mirror if it weren't for the colouring. It sits on a bit of a slant, but has stayed there for some time.
The ladder resides in the center of the bottom half of the scene. it lies horizantally across the dune. It is made of an old but sturdy wood. Its rungs are many, but its size is moderate. It would easily reach a second floor window.
The horse stands tall, proud, adventurous and brave at the very peak of dune. It is strong and wild. Its black coat is as dark as night and just as beautiful. Its eyes glow a bright yellow and its mane blows in the wind. its hooves are made literally out of gold.
The storm is behind the horse, following it. The horse is its master, controlling its movements. The storm listens to the horse and does what it is told. It strikes down what the horse wishes to be stricken, and sheds rain on what the horse thinks deserves the drink. The clouds are dark and forboding, but the desert needs it. The desert requires the downpour, or else its inhabitants will shrivel up and wither away.
The flowers grow around the horse's hooves. Where ever it places them, flowers sprout up in rainbows of colour. When the horse runs, the flowers grow in a trail, following it (much like in Okami when Amaterasu runs around). the horse's trampling does not harm the flowers... in fact, the flowers barely react to it. The horse is gentle with its creations, and would never wish them harm.
Now, what all this means is lost on me, but I can definitely speculate. An intrigueing little experiment this is indeed... if you know of others, I'd like to give them a try so I can see what I get from them. >.>
