small vent/ update

With things slowly calming way back down im getting work back in order again , these past few weeks have been extremely difficult for me so I thank you all for you understanding .
currently I'm just horribly frustrated by so many things I've been a scatter shot when it comes to paying attention , feeling "good", or just getting up. Everything else paired with the holidays and literally everyone i know's birthday I feel like im being spread really thin when it comes to my mental health.
On top of all that, I got approved to be the new home of a lovely parrot , whom ive named Rakan, from a rescue i applied to a while back. I've been visiting him for around 3 weeks , every few days, and we've grown really really close. Today just absolutely broke my heart having him step out of his cage directly on to me , and then at the end of our "bonding time" him screaming for me after i put him back and started to leave. These next few weeks are gonna be really hard as well since I wont be able to visit him after the 7th because they'll be short staffed . God i wish I had enough to pay off his vet and adoption bill all in one go //

A lot of freelancers, myself certainly among them, have trouble actually being able to relax because they feel like they always have to be working. It makes sense, since if you don't work, you don't aren't bringing in money - unlike salary where you'll have income coming in even if you have to take a day off. I've found the relaxation/playtime to be just as vital towards my mental/emotional health and ability to work, though.
I hope you're able to find some time to just relax and get back some of your strength. Also the bit about Rakan is really heartbreaking. ;__; I hope you can finish up the payments soon!!
