ANNOUNCEMENT STARTS NOW!
So, to those of you out there who have been pregnant, please tell me, whats up with this bun in the oven business? Tell me what I"m expecting to experiance... I'm due early next year if that tells you... I"m right on that first and second trimester cusp area... a little nausea here and there but nothing that can be labeled as "morning sickness" really... Just mostly fatiuge, mood swings, and pain... everywhere... especially when I wake up...
I was told to start getting stretchy pants now (I have LOTS of peasant skirts with good stretchy tops... even one that was a maternity skirt that I just liked the look... smart thinking was smart) and to start putting on lotion and stuff now...
So yeah... advice? Tips? Anything?

And with Patricks Family... Brandi Prime had her baby, then Brandi 2, Franny will be having hers in August, and now me! All thats left is Candi, the newest wife. But we'll wait till Franny has hers and I"m bigger, cause thats how it goes LOL. Papa Kelley started yellin at me and Tim today (the youngest brother, the newest married) about how we can't do this! We have no more room on the mantle for pictures! Stoppit!
>< I'm just so like OIERJOWIERJ Yay for you. *laughs*
I had a pretty easy pregnancy(aside from the quitting drugs and being homeless stuff) most of it was spent finding more 7-11 hot dogs with mayo. I adored them.
Uhm... I never got pregnancy clothes, you never wear them again unless you have more kids. I wore sweatpants and such then used them for pajamas or cold days to wear under jeans after I had Angel.
Keep up to date with your doctor to make sure all goes well.
Don't buy clothing for a certain gender because 99% chance you'll have the other.
Don't over-do it, rest if you need it and try to avoid high stress situations.
All those lotions on your stomach to avoid stretch marks I don't believe but it's not like it will take much effort if you wanna try it.
Get sleep in now because when the baby comes sleep will be a thing of the past.
If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask, I'll answer what I can.
Do you have a suggestion on lotions? And I'm glad i dont smoke or drink or have to stop any bad habits. The caffeen cut was the hardest but since dark sodas don't taste right anymore... it made it a little easier...
It works awesome on my feet though and I walk around barefoot(damn hippie) a lot so I'd assume it would help.
They have lots of different types actually meant for stretch marks but again, never tried em.

Yea, draw string clothing=awesome I wish some of my clothes had them now with the weight loss and such. Nothing fits me anymore. I've seen some pregnancy clothes that I'd so wear even if not pregnant to hell if you like em enough to wear them go for it. I've been below the poverty line for so long that eve now that my rent is free and I don't have to work while I'm in school I still can't buy anything without weighing what useful things I can get for that money. Usually the other things win and I lose out on more clothes for myself. :/

Indeed on the bad habit stuff. People tend to think getting pregnant will make them stop their habits but even if you're pregnant if you don't actively work at it you won't stop anything.
Oh, and no Sunkist either, bastards put more caffeine in there then should be lawfully right for an orange soda.
Man, you can't even do the whole juice thing. I guess you're stuck with milk and water.
Plus I'm wary of it, I became violently allergic to Dr. Pepper and 7-Up when the company switched to using corn syrup instead of sugar all those years ago. Anaphylactic seizures fucking suck. Since you say you're diabetic too, that means no Dublin Dr. Pepper either.
PS.I hate children.
p.s. shit you don't tell new mothers. Just not nice.
Oh and this is a TMI for people so don't read if you don't wanna know:

Mum's various tales of her pregnancys to 'prepare me' [rolls eyes, "kinda need a guy first, Mum"] warn that more than likely you will get horrendously consipated. This can lead to haemorroids. Not good. Good way to treat it is to cut up little pieces of raw potato and... well.... 'put them up there'. Its the starch in the potato which makes things a little... 'easier'. It'll come out with 'everything else' when it does its job.
Also... yeah I know about the constipation thing... I eat a lot of fresh fruit and if I get "stuck" lots of fresh pineapple for me works.
I can tell you this, if I were a woman, I would immediately get a sex change after watching this to be sure of not having the possibility of becoming pregnant. Ever.
I never thought pregnancy was to be bad.....nvr expected all the nausia.....
When i get through eating, I have to lay down so i can digest properly and not get sick....
This is my very first. And Im about 3 to 3 1/2 months i believe. Havent been to the doctor yet......
Go
NOW
We're about the same place. You need to see a doctor hon, even if you go to a planned parenthood. I was not sick that much so far... and its my very first too... would you like to be my pregger buddy? I can try and help you out with information and tips I get...
Well, one of the things thats preventing me from going to the doc is that i have no insurance, in the process in getting some that has a policy for Pregnancy Care and Baby Care till the baby is 24 months old.
Raven and I have already picked a girl name, Christina Lyn. The first name is his late grandmothers and the Middle name is an adaptation of his late aunts name Lynda.
We picked Danielle Karen ( Danielle being his favorite girl name, Karen being my best friend since I was 2 and the Irish in the name) and Ardon Joseph (Ardon meaning High Asperations and the Irish in the name, and Joseph as the boys name he wanted for the middle)
Im prolly gonna have to look in name books or research old family names that would be decent for our time (like im gonna name my son Icabod or some weirdness like that)
I used to teach preg water aerobics, along with baby swim classes (and swim classes for older kids/adults, and pretty much anything else relating to pools).
I had so many ladies in my class say that *this* pregnancy was so much easier than their previous ones, and they chalked it up to taking water aerobics. Its good gentle exercise, it keeps you moving so you feel happier, and it lets you relax and hang out with other happy preggers like yourself.
And when the nublet is born, take baby swim classes. Its great bonding time, and will pave the way for confidence and safety in the water later in his/her life.
I get the impression you're gonna make a pretty good mommy.
You will get weird food cravings, but as long as you don't get Pica (wanting to eat non-foods like dirt, soap, grass, etc) you should be fine. Oh, and once the baby gets here, don't listen to any doctor who say "You can't feed them ANY solid food until they're X months old." (I think my pediatrician said like 9 months old) The baby will know when he//she is ready for solids and so will you.
Lotion never helped me, I still got stretchmarks. But, if you want to try, don't just focus on your belly area- your back, butt and upper thighs need the treatment too. The skin has to come from somewhere.
Moodswings are normal. Raging to hug me to everything in between.
Watch out for UTIs both times I got bad ones around the 25week mark and had to go in, get treated for the infection and then get treated again for premature labor.
The nausea (it felt like a constant pressure in the back of my head, down my throat) went away for me sometime into the second trimester, or it just alleviated enough for me not to notice (i would still barf on short notice like if someone said Peanut Butter.).
Mostly you'll just get bigger and bigger and once the baby starts taking up too much room, you'll want it out... though you'll probably have 7 more weeks of kicks and hiccups and it rolling around. Lol.
and my butt.. she is expanding
I currently am being treated for a UTI and i'm trying to manage my sugars so I dont make a big huge baby... you know... but yeah.
Thanks for all the advice!
You're gonna be a wonderful mommy.
Oh, and don't microwave on plastic plates, if you eat the food it makes baby boy's junk tiny.
I, uh, don't remember much. it's been 10 years since there were babies involved in my life, and I was NOT the one doing all the hard work
matter of fact, I was only there for the fun part, and the support role
for your uti...even though you were treated...I want to suggest something b/c I know it helped me...try peach white cranberry juice...even though it will make you go to the bathroom a lot it will help keep you from getting another uti
So far everythings been good for me... which makes me happy after years of people telling me that me having a baby could be very complicated and dangerous.
I hope you've been well
:mazz: and :selucia: both have babies and they could better tell you what its like to carry a baby though.
P.S. if you're interested in new beginnings, I added you on my AIM
