~ Commissions are currently: Open ~
~ A new batch of commissions will be open: February ~
~ Current goal: $0 / $150 ~
~ Prices ~ By commissioning me, you agree to ALL the following terms:
1. All commissions will, by default, be typed in Times New Roman size 12 font single space unless otherwise requested. All hail the mighty GoogleDoc, for it is through the fonts found there that I will restrict myself to.
2. All commissions are priced by the word. If you want an idea of how much it will cost by the page, let me know and I will give you an estimate based on font type and size. This will only be a ballpark figure though, and it might wind up a bit short or a full home run.
3. All commissions will be uploaded as .docx for FA, but if specifically requested, can be emailed to the commissioner as .doc, .txt, with a link to the GoogleDoc, or copy/pasted into the body of the email. Because options are always a lovely thing.
4. I reserve the right to post commissions wherever I see fit with proper credit going to intellectual property, including characters. If the commission should be kept private, this must be discussed ahead of time and might include a small fee. What can I say? There are times I take pride in my work and it can hurt not being able to show off something I'm proud of.
5. Full payment is expected up front unless otherwise specified. Paypal only, because some things I can't always give options on.
6. Up to two major rewrites can be requested for major edits. Major edits include but are not restricted to entire paragraphs being rewritten, added, or removed, the theme of the story changed, entire characters reworked, added, or removed, settings completely reworked, etc. If enough is being added to significantly change the length of the story, a small fee might be included to better reflect the over-all length of the story. Small edits such as a character's hair color or the likes are not considered major edits. Multiple major edits can be requested after each draft.
7. If by the third draft you are still unhappy, half of your money can be refunded and your rights to the story are stripped. If it's a story I'm pleased with, characters and any other intellectual property not belonging to me will be fully replaced (so what is yours will in no way be associated with it.) unless other agreements were made ahead of time. Otherwise the story will simply be trashed (I have never had to do two rewrites for anyone, so I feel confident this won't have to be addressed often, if at all.).
8. You are welcome to repost the stories you commission or get as a freebie anywhere, as long as you give credit where credit is due. This includes other people's characters that are involved as well as the author of the story. I would also like to be notified where the story is being posted, but this is not a requirement. It's just fun to see things like that get around.
9. When getting a freebie from me, I have every right to take what freedoms I may with your character(s) as long as they remain within the restrictions already stated (including but not limited to theme, rating, and hard limits you list when you initially request the freebie). This might mean you get a story as short as ten words or as long as 3000, with any characters I see fit to include.I like making people happy, but the length is the one thing I probably won't compromise much on.
10. When getting a freebie from me, you have the right to state any small edits that might be needed, including but not limited to incorrect hair color, incorrect name, and so forth. You will need to commission me if you want to have a major edits completed. There's a difference between a fun idea and working towards someone else's vision.
11. I retain all rights to any stories, poems, or writings of any other sorts that I create, be they commissions, freebies, gifts, personal, or otherwise, as well as to any characters, settings, societies, nations, worlds, cities, laws, and any other material of my own creation that is used in any of the above mentioned forms of writings. This will only differ in any way, shape, or form if BOTH parties agree to the difference beforehand. Very wordy, but stealing is bad, m'kay?
