I need your help!!
I really dislike making journals like this asking for help. But I've got no other options right now. I really need your help.
I'm only focusing on one problem at a time and this problem is car insurance. This is an absolute must for me right now.
I'm trying to pick the cheapest option so I can get insured. I do not want to lose my car. At this very moment my dealership has been trying to get into contact with me, and my phone service was recently interrupted since the monthly payment on that was due 2 days ago. It's a pre-paid plan so I am not at all worried. It can still receive calls I just cannot dial out. But I want to be able to find a way to contact them and report that I'm working on a plan to get insured.
I fought very hard for my car, I'm fighting to keep my independence as well my right to willingly drive to work and school or anywhere else I choose without the need for public transportation or relying on others. I passed over my other fully paid off car to my mother so she has something to drive because her accident and the total loss of her car years ago has only caused more problems and until I worked as hard as I did I was able to finally get and have my own car to drive. 2017 was a nightmare as I had struggled and to deal with doing a voluntary repossession because my financial situation had gotten worse.
This year I vowed that it'll be better. I got another car during tax season (A much cheaper one) and the payments are small enough to where I can manage. It's $125 bi-weekly, the easiest car payment I can make. My checks at my job usually range around $140-$160 every two weeks so I have enough to cover the car payment. Insurance however was an issue because since both vehicles were registered to me, it was important that I had both cars insured to prevent further issues. Right now I just need my vehicle, the one that I drive to be insured. I'm working on transferring the title over to a relative where he'll be taking care of that vehicle from now on.
So my options are, I pay my current insurance company 272 and additional fees for reinstating... or I can get a quote with a new insurance company.
I'm not sure how much money I'll need to solve this problem as I cant get in contact with Gieco to figure it out how much more I'll have to pay after I pay them the $272 that I owe them.
Trying to make payments on insurance especially with the money I make from my job is just not enough. So.. until I can find a better source of income.. I am asking you if you could help me. I really don't like donations, but at this point it's all I can do right now. I really need your help.

"the payments are small enough to where I can manage. It's $125 bi-weekly"
dont do payments on a car. just buy one. it's cheaper and you wont get scammed by insurance companies who charge more for leased vehicles.
Not only that, but older cars are cheaper to insure. I pay $35 a month for my 1974 bug, and I pay $60 a month for my 2005 truck. The total cost of owning my truck which I paid $2,000 for is $60 a month plus gas.
If there is a way to sell back your car and get a wad of cash, I would definitely do it.
geico is also the MOST EXPENSIVE car insurance. go call the general, progressive, or many other cheaper options.
I'm also looking at quotes for progressive, they're offering me a cheaper rate, but I can't do anything yet. I've had them before in the past so it'll be a little tricky if I owed them money at some point. Because i've had insurance that lapsed with them too.
I read both of your posts! Thank you for the great advice!
I would definitely try to call a broker in your area, because they can usually get you better deals and such.
I'll see if I can. Just right now I'm limited because I can't call anyone. But I am checking around for quotes.
https://www.thegeneral.com/
http://progressive.com
I would also google "car insurance brokers near me"
they're free to use and get payment from car insurance companies, not you.
usually the most expensive car insurance I've seen is about $125 a month. GRANTED, thats a record without tickets or accidents. It also depends on what year your car is, and how many cars like yours there are on the road. If you own a more common car, then its more expensive than a more unusual car.
you can cancel and re-insure your car at any time with any company.
Anyway, like I said, I'll try to help out as soon as I can; and if nothing else, I'll see about spreading the word about it.
Im very thankful for the help with spreading the word, if possible. Do what you can. I'd greatly appreciate it!
Thanks so much for your help! It is greatly appreciated!
