Buy me a Loaf of Bread?
Guess I should say something.
I had to go to the hospital yesterday because my blood sugar was over 300 these last few days.
A normal person is around 70 to 140. I had to have an IV which sucked majorly. I hate needles.
And I have a newfound hatred for blood pressure cuffs.
But yeah, I'm diabetic. Type 2. Luckily I'm not like keeling over dead or anything, so I get to take
an oral medication instead of shots. I have to overhaul my diet to deal with this going on now, which
is fine. Better than shots. They were going to keep me overnight but I was lucky and instead I have
to make an apt for an outpatient social worker. I haven't had a personal doctor since I was like...8.
I dont have insurance lmao, so this is gonna be fun. However, a friend of mine linked me to a local
insurance people for women that I might qualify for at no cost. We'll see
Thank you
for actually convincing me to get this shit looked at lol.
And Thank you to all the well wishes I have gotten so far, it means a lot to me ;0;
But I'd much rather do that then getting shots
I started the med yesterday, and it dropped me to 158 which was great. It shot back up tho, because I currently don't have anything in the house that would be deemed good to eat for diabetics xD
I'm sure I'll be able to keep it down once I get some shopping done.
Hope the shopping goes well~
They're good candies bront.
Brontosaurudramon. *sticks out necky*
Well I hope I don't do that lol
It’s not easy at first, but it can be done. ^^
Those affect blood sugar the most.
Carbs usually found in fruits, dairy, and wheat will raise your sugar, but not too high.
Carbs found in potatoes, white bread... will spike them real high.
You'll be fine, but sorry to hear. Its a depressing disease.
Please take care of yourself! Diabetes is rough if you don’t watch it.
But as everyone else is saying, it''l just take you a while to get used to the new diet.
I hope things Will go well tho for you uwu
Don't worry, you'll be okay.
The pill is definitely not bad
I plan to keep it in check to the best of my ability so i dont have to do shots
I believe in you <3
I found out I have a fatty liver last year, it makes it difficult for me to regulate my blood sugar. I don't have diabetes, but I'm at risk for it.
If you get that insurance - SEE AN ENDOCRINOLOGIST. General Practitioner and Nurses are good - not good enough. When I finally saw the specialist, he practically cringed at the drugs the GP had put me on... that I'd been on for several years. They were EFFECTIVE, but they'd done more damage to my body than necessary.
Don't try and bring your sugars down TOO fast... that way likes headaches and nausea. A week or two is sufficient time to get it to normal ranges. You CAN have a blood sugar crash at 150... if your body is used to 2 and 3 times that. (first day on meds)
:(
Kudos on actually getting yourself examined before matters escalated.
