Spoke with a police officer.

He was very helpful, but unfortunately, it seems like the case is going to be complicated.
Because the guy is out of state, and likely someone who has done this before, there is a chance fake IDs were used and that the check is forged or he took the money out before the check cleared.
He is going to file an investigation, and I should hear back in the next couple days -- unfortunately if I don't pay my $50 phone bill, it will be shut off, which will make this way harder.

Luckily I'll be able to use whatever funds I get from that to pay that bill because I have a paypal card.
I will be in contact with the fraud departments for my bank, the bank the check was made with, and Walmart for the Walmart to Walmart transfer.

Kold had someone steal our trailer and it was a fluke the vin # didnt get scratched off so I know how stressful this must be ;^;
