Bad Idea #36: Free Gelding

Be sure it means what you think it means.
This could be a two panel comic:
Panel 1: A fellow sees a sign "Free Gelding" on a shop and in a thought bubble pictures himself with a gelding, perhaps as a draft animal or servant.
Panel 2: Same fellow is exiting the shop, upset, pained, and hunched over. His thought balloon is of a 'family tree' diagram with a big 'X' or circular NO/NOT symbol over any children.
That was the polite version. A different version might have him in the nude and have the thought-about gelding being used sexually. Then the second panel might have another male, intact, eyeing the newly changed male.

But how could he not know he was going to be the victim? Are there different meanings to Gelding?
Gelding commonly refers to a castrated horse. One adage is, "You tell a gelding, you ask a mare and you discuss it with a stallion."
In the first panel thought balloon, he could even be thinking of a regular quadruped horse. Why a place would be giving them away ought to raise suspicions.
Now I wonder if you'd be the main character or his initial fantasy.
Or would you be the smirking watcher?
