I guess the only advice I can offer is if you aren’t getting any commission work, try having sales. And YCHs. I find those work best for me at least- also, I noticed you’ve drawn humans, join HumanArtistsofFA and have them advertise any sales and YCHs on their journal. They post every night and a lot of people (like me) check every day for new stuff.

Also! I was recently bitching about low bids on my auctions and stuf because I’m having the same problem with not being able to make much right now. And I was told it’s apparently con season? I don’t go to any cons so I didn’t know but yeah, I guess there’s a lot of them going on...so people tend to save their money for con stuff around this time of year or something.

I already have a ych that's ready to go up this weekend so fingers crossed that it sells! Especially cause I really like how it looks so far.

Yeah, con season is ROUGH if you're an artist who isn't selling AT a con. I usually go two or three months without getting any commissions because everyone is saving their money for conventions. I really picked the worst possible time of year to beg for donations and work lol.

I ended up accidentally getting known for latex art And I'm not only an ace, but I'm not into latex at all. Shining things just happens to be something I'm good at I guess? So my gallery is mostly latex furry art, when in reality I prefer drawing humans in nice vanilla settings. So IF you do end up drawing more fetishes, consider it more of a challenge rather than a representation of who you are.

Latex isn't something I'd mind being known for. I do enjoy drawing shiny things! lol

It wouldn't be so bad if I had the start up funds to sell AT a con but that would require a few hundred dollars at least and I don't think there's much market in my state for furry/mlp pinups lol

Same, ABQ. Yeah there isn't much of a market here for MOST things honestly, like things related to cartoons/anime/cosplay/nerd culture in general I guess. I know we have Sabakucon(?) but from what I hear it's sort of underwhelming?

Yeah, it really is. Every year I've gone they've had the same like 5 or 6 six guests with maybe a couple new ones here and there and the panels are pretty meh and dealers den and artists alley are very lacking in anything worth while. It's way too expensive for such a small con too.
