I have been having a vast musical problem. The problem is that about a year or so ago I started work on an album, my third. During it’s creation and wringing, there was a period where I wrote a selection of tracks for it which weren’t too brilliant, I then managed to make a selection I was much happier with and now can’t really come up with anything else new. This “third LP” soon became my fourth when I took some time to write one condensed record in a week by itself and is now just something I scroll past and regret having not released yet, despite how only half of it is any good.
At this point, it becomes my third unfinished, unpublished mess, I promptly started a fourth and haven’t completed that either. And the whole thing really isn’t doing my mental health any good at all. I also don’t feel like I can start new projects because they just end up unfinished and it somehow feels disingenuous. Like I can’t just throw something in the bin and start over once I’ve made the album cover, shared the songs as they’ve been made. Like then going “Actually lads, I threw the masters into a volcano, guess it’s never coming out, sorry” feels just kinda rude. There’s also something really degrading about starting tones of stuff and never finishing any of them and making a crap album AND not making any music because you’re stuck with one thing you haven’t finished yet.
I dunno really… I’m not sure it’s something there’s a real solution to. Sorry about that. But anyway, at least it’s America day right? I dunno, I’m British, so who knows.

The Back Page
I managed to get furmeet crud after going to LondonFurs. Was fun.
Got to jam with
Regdeh since he brought his guitar and I brought my keyboard.
We tried to get
seadragom to sing.
He wouldn’t sing.
But I can’t blame him, I’m not a very good keyboard player.
If you'd like something featured in the newsletter, drop either me (
PascalFarful ) or the FA musicians page a note with details or drop a shout on the FA Musicians page! I would add that sending me notes increases your chance of me not losing your message. Plus I’m lonely, please talk to me.

Don't look at them as unfinished. Think of them as in-progress. I have tons of projects that I have yet to finish. Every now and then I go back and look at one and if the inspiration is there I add a little more to it. Just don't give up on them.
