painted colored sketch (experimental commission & pricing)
Imagine , if you will, a colored sketch , with the same color detail level as one of my paintings , with just rougher lines-
and example of my paintings : https://www.furaffinity.net/view/28117662/
and example of my sketches : https://i.imgur.com/O8FVtCN.png (would be a lil cleaner than this haha, this one just got no "clean up" due to it needing to be lined anyhow)
now , in your mind - fuse em together
rough example : https://www.furaffinity.net/view/28172673/
and then slap a $100 price tag on em -
is it coming together ?
I'm opening for ONE of these , one or two characters ( two character's cost $175 total)
if you would LIKE the slot , comment with a ref and an idea (or note me one)
BUT i am also looking for opinions , so please , do these seem like something y'all would be interested in?
I'm a very hesitant person when it comes to raising prices , and i already bit the bullet and raised my fully painted pictures pices to $200 + $100 per extra character , but now i think it's time to roll out a more affordable painted option , while still making sure i get paid enough for all the hours i sink into them.
the reason behind my painted full color price change is because i regularly began spending 16 + hours on them , even single character ones, and that broken up over two days made the $150 price tag very hard for me personally to deal with , it constantly feels like im being undercut by myself - but ive always wanted to maintain being "affordable" compared to many other artists (who are free to charge whatever they like for the long hours they put into their work, this is not AT ALL a point to bash on others).
However im concerned i'll create a divide between me and my commissioners if i raise them too high !
so , what do y'all think ? Are my prices too high? too low? just right?
all opinions welcome! just please remain civil and kind with your wording <3

And i’d Love to just get her as an anthro snake, laid out on her side on a couch, eating say, grapes? Whatcha think?
That said, I think opening up a middle tier is a great idea as well. It might entice other customers that might not quiiiite be able to swing as high for the higher quality stuff. I don't think it can hurt.
And while I would totally be down for one of these, it looks like someone beat me to it as I was getting my thoughts together :p
But still, worth saying. I just gotta keep my eyes out!
Either way, you'll come to whatever decision you feel is the right one. Things can change too, so experiment for now, maybe alter costs if you feel it necessary.
As for causing rifts and divides between commissioners and yourself? No, I don't think your prices are going to do that. There's certainly things that can, and have, but your costs aren't going to be something that will. Customers that are happy to seek you out, or repeat customers that liles what they got, will pay it.
Good luck.
