ReilsssFirst off I will say... "WOW" with my jaw dropping all the way through the flood and ground to the Earth's core XD That was a very amazing Smash direct. So lets go over them in detail.
I will say I wasnt all that Hyped for the new character reveals, even tho I did wanted Incineroar. Ken was a gigantic no-brainer. Since the introduction of Echo fighters, alot of last minute demands really pushed Sakurai to bring Ken into Smash as Ryu's Echo. Incineroar just looks amazing how he came out and his personality in the game is to die for~ They really nailed true to his personality from the Gen 7 series of Pokemon. And... very very shocking... We get as a fighter... The Piranha Plant from the Mario Series. I mean... i get that we were all really were expecting a big "WTF" type of character as a fighter but... this really took the cake, like just blow the list on that category to bits and ate it. I feel it would have made it alot more sense if Petey Piranha was the character instead of being a Final Smash, but again I ask.... WHY?! XD I suppose since alot of Bowser Minions are getting their own character slots like Monty Mole, Boo, Koopa, Goomba, Chain Chomp, etc, they had to make the Plant it's own slot in a Fighting game instead of a party game. Wow. XD
So sadly The Black Knight, Shadow the Hedgehog, Skull Kid and Isaac have been revealed as Assist Trophies, and others like Dixie Kong, Jeanne, other Xenoblade favs, Octolings, even Geno apparently, etc, were revealed as Spirits for the new Spirits Mode. Meaning now the 5 remaining DLC fighters can possibly be anything from the fan want list. In fact, this reveal has shorten the want list for fighters very drastically. Only ones I can think of that are on the list would be Sora, Banjo & Kazooie, and Crash Bandicoot. And as Sakurai stated, there will be No Echo Fighter DLC.
From what they showed off first hand, it seems to be a new type of Event Matches, seeing how some of it are Gimmicked like a Horde of Pits being Affinity from the Bayonetta Series, or Iggy being a Lakitu with ini red Bowsers as Spinies, or a Giant King K. Rool being the Imprisoned while Ghirahim the Assist Trophy is fighting you and so on. Long with the cool added bonus of equiping Spirits to boost your fighter and their power levels like how Stickers worked in Brawl. To me tho, I have never used the Stickers before in the Subspace Embassy mode in brawl so I never really learned how that worked, but it would seem in this would have no other choice but learn how to effectively use these Spirits/Stickers. I do find it's still very cool tho I believe the added effect of training Spirits in a Gym or make the go play in an exploration thing was not very needed. But I digress.
And after seeing that intro cutscene of the new Adventure mode, I was very shaken up in awe by the whole thing. Seeing my personal favs being utterly destroyed like that was heart taking. And of course Kirby was the only one to survive, which seems to be a very common theme for Kirby. Think about it; "Something Apocalyptic happens to the land (like in Dream land lately) that effects everyone and everything in a bad way, and Kirby being the only one who survived or is unaffected by the whole thing and is up to hi to save the day. This isnt Smash, this is "Kirby: Adventure Crossover Land" XD lol.
But still Im looking forward to giving a good story a try and this really does feel, as Sakurai put it, Truly Ultimate~ And Im always happy to hear what everyone else think about this Direct.

tbh I dont think he will be alone, I didnt see ALL 74 fighters in the trailer cutscene uwu I was glad not to see mah bois Ness and Lucas blasted x'D nor Ice Climber nor any of the new introduced fighters (except the Inklings)
I'm thinking it'll start with Kirby as your sole fighter but it looks pretty open world so you can go ahead and try to rescue your favourites right off the bat. I'm hoping at least. I had to watch literally EVERY character I plan on playing being... killed? Vaporized? Thanos'd? RIP Pokemon Trainer, Greninja, and Samus.
The Piranha Plant is... super unexpected and I won't lie, I have mixed feelings. One the hand I love it because I love the Piranha plant enemies, they're one of my faves. On the other, there were so many characters were hoping for. Waluigi (even though he's an assist trophy) is probably the most requested, or at least his fans are the most vocal. Even then, characters like, Geno, Banjo and Kazooie, Crash Bandicoot, literally anyone from either Xenoblade Chronicles game all have fans wanting them in the game. Don't think a single soul on this planet wished there was a Piranha plant fighter. Oh well, I'm still excited for it!
INCINEROAR!!! I'm so happy he's here tbh! I won't lie, I thought the new Pokemon would for sure be Decidueye but I am not disappointed at all that it's Incineroar he looks insanely fun!
Waluigi will never get it cuz he never appeared in a main series game of his own or in the main Mario adventure games nor any of Wario's main series games. Decidueye already had his spotlight in Pokken.
