Today is NOT a good day

We interrupt your regularly scheduled program for the following announcement...
Got called at around 0300 CST this morning concerning my roommate as I am one of two emergency contacts for him. Well, to make a long story short, he died today at 1300 CST. He got admitted to the hospital on 2/2/2019 with double pneumonia, and over the course of three days his doctors drained over 4 liters of fluid from his lung cavities. Sadly, his pneumonia was a side effect of the chemo and radiation therapy he was undergoing to fight esophageal cancer. Unfortunately, the cancer had spread to his liver, lungs, blood and marrow.
As of now, I am going to be somewhat quiet as I scramble to get things in order, and putting the car note, insurance and power into my name. Please put my roommate's family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
I am confident that I can make the car note, rent, internet, phone, insurance and power payments driving for Lyft and Uber. Though I am looking at cutting corners when and where I can in order to save money.

I don't know how big the car note was, but you may want to see if there is death insurance on the car loan. I know some loan companies require it.
It wasn't that his death was unexpected, it was just that it came far too fast.
