Brontes stood quietly, hands behind his back.
“So … Mister Brontesson, is it? You are interested in the security guard’s positions?”
The tarbh nodded, staring at the panel members hopefully.
“And you’re obviously suited for a profession such as this,” said the lion, removing his pince-nez. “Being a minotaur, and such.”
“A tarbh.”
“I beg your pardon? … oh, is that what that meant? I saw the word ‘tarb’ on your application. I thought that was your name!”
Highly offended, Brontes slew them all with his axe and, as he left, he roared the pronunciation at the bodies.
“TARRIV! NOT TARB!”
And why? Because that's what it is.
