-Movie Recommendation- The Fugitive
The FugitiveDr. Richard Kimble is a successful medical doctor, loving husband, and all around nice guy. But one night, a break-in by a one-armed man leaves his wife murdered and him the prime suspect. Convicted and sentenced to death, he breaks out on the way to prison. On the run from the law (led by Federal Marshal Samuel Gerard and his crack team of trackers), he's got to prove his innocence and find who killed his wife before he's taken out.
Another one of those movies I never get tired of watching (and Harrison Ford's last really great film, depending on how you look at things). Great action, good story and script, and even some laughs.
The two main characters especially work well. Harrison Ford plays the doctor on the lamb, with Tommy Lee Jones (looking just vaguely old, not totally old) as the tracking Marshall. While the two are only in a few scenes together they exhibit great chemistry as folks on the opposite side of the law. They also do good work on their own, Ford's doctor doing all he can to stay out of sight and get the clues he needs, and Jones' commanding marshal spreading his authority around. Being surrounded by an excellent supporting cast just adds to the greatness.
The action sequences are quite excellent as well. The enormous train crash at the start of the film (done by actually crashing a train), the infamous dam jump, and a variety of other little things make this a smashing affair.
Only so much I can really say about this one, so just go take a look. An entirely enjoyable film that's definitely worth your time.
