Read it - it illustrates and explains a lot of the concepts that I repeat to people when they ask questions. There's a lot of good fundamental stuff on there. It'll help you become a better artist.
Also,

That's about it. :) I haven't been posting much lately because I rarely feel like drawing more after doing so much of it at work.

The following links will surely help a whole bunch too. Thanks loads, Fabercastel.
When I think about it.. Learning to draw properly is something everyone can do, it just takes time to get the "flow" of it. Some have it in their genes while others have to start from scratch. The key word is patience. And practice. And no evil clowns in the closet that keeps interrupting the learning process.
I remember in school when everyone had to draw a plate of fruit and I had big difficulties to get the fruit right. When I showed the finished result to my teacher she asked "is it a duck?".
Also, those sculptures are awesome.
but seriously, that tutorial is awesome,
especially for someone who still gets stuck in flat shading (like myself)
also it was really well laid out and presented,
it's really easy to find the part that you need.
thanks man :)
and that was totally a boobie,
and a squatting fatty
Thanks for the info!
I tip my hat to you, sir.
that links help a lot!
i have a problem with colour painting
how do you pick the colours (shadows, highlights)
and how do you blend the shadows and highlights
and how do you pick the colours to blend the shadows and highlights
this sounds like a troll but it is a serious question, someone answer
I read that establishing values first in a desaturated color can help make sure your values are right before adding color, but then after that I try to add color with overlays and it looks like dogshit. Help.
The only answer I can think of is to just practice and see what works. EASIER SAID THAN DONE I KNOW
10000x easier than this
i don't really know how to do that digitally!
thanks a lot, man! Really helpful stuff! o.o
Except for aids.
But aids isn't a good thing :c
I failed at a witty comeback.

Nothing better than good photography to get the art juices flowing. I love a great photo.
