bra, you're not a child any more. you think your parents had super fun amazing birthdays when you where a child? this is your adulthood, your birthday is just another day. if you want birthdays fun again than had a child and make their birthdays fun. as an adult your "birthday" is just an excuse to get drunk, that's it.


i'm not trying to be a downer, but, like, just... real talk man.

My own tend to go by with little more recognition than changing some numbers.

A friend (now deceased) used to plan out a whole week of activities, most of which included having friends with him. That doesn't sound like such a bad way to do it.

Or the hobbit way from The Lord of the Rings, where birthday gifts aren't received, they're given. You get to throw your own party!

Some birthdays, one really wants to forget or let slide by with out ceremony. I recently turned 60, and my family wanted to make a big fuss over it. I didn't guess who got their way... ^_*
