As a one-year veteran of artfight: expect plenty of portraits of your characters; those seem to be the currency of artfight. Also, be amazed at how many people are just peachy with gore, but those clothes better not come off!

I need to have it set to not gore... the website has just been down

It's already surviving better than last year. It was pretty much unusable for the first week and then some and they ended up extending the event. They might still have underestimated the interest this year, though.

It can be quite fun. I always end up drawing stuff for others anyhow, so artfight works out just fine for me. I've also been using it as an opportunity to draw things I usually wouldn't consider drawing. Heck, I'm trying to make an eye-ball monster look flirty right now :D

I wish it would load... i tried loading hux's ref and im not even sure it worked

I fortunately saved the refs for several characters I wanted to draw, so I can draw even when it's down. But yeah, it's being more flaky today than it was all of yesterday. If last year is any indication, it should be stable again in a few days. They might even extend the deadline again if this keeps up.
