Aging only hurts if you resist.

Karno's Rare-Because-He-Never-Has-Time Blather:
So Sen-En just put up a pic I'd drawn for 'em: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/32.....#cid:140839776
.....and natcherly, it set me to thinking about Life, Friends Lost, and Everything. The ole Melancholy Meander that's probably familiar to everyone from their 50's-up.
....And you know what? It's natural. Unless you've been a hermit for most of your life, losing people as you age is gonna happen. You're better off celebrating that you've known so many good folk, rather than crying bitter tears for having lost them. Your tears do the dead no good, and make yourself sad, so knock off that sobbing already!
In other (& hopefully better) news, I scored a big illustration job that will cover my bills and fill my working hours for the next six months or so. I'll be less on here, but the weekly postings should continue - I have plenty of stories that haven't been seen on FA.
Which reminds me, I suppose I'll still do commissions, but only for unreasonable amounts of money by Furry standards. The price of my time keeps going up.
Huh. When I was young and starving, I'd have killed for work like this - but now I'm old and creaky, it piles on to the limits of my ability to do it. I really can't complain about having payin' work, but I wouldn't have objected to Father Time spreading it out a little. As things stand, I'm gonna have to (shudder!) write up a schedule and stick to it. Like some...businessman! Whatever happened to artists being decadent layabouts?

Good on you for finding work -- I'm still looking. I hope it pays better than the JPFO gig did. Are you still going to keep up the Patreon stuff? I won't hold it against you if you drop one of the Sundays.
I kind of like the mecian approach. shed a tear or two maybe, but then celebrate, because look! their suffering is over, and they'll be watching you from over yonder. so make sure to give them a good laugh, or reason to nod in approval, yes?
and I really dig the tribute piece. doug's and jim's works were some of the first stuff I ever seen on the naughty side of furrydom (when I was underage...) and I do miss their flair
but I hate growing old anyway
It destroys them.
My personal belief is you only get old when you start thinking you're getting old.
