It. Is. Done.

Finally, FINALLY I'm free! After two years of long hard effort, and the past three months of near-isolation, I've finally completed my final trial and passed my last test. As of the 11th I will be the proud owner of an associates degree in information technology.
For those of you who want to see the project I've spent the past three months on, go here:
http://empirenac.com/JianSea.mov (15 mb quicktime movie, crappy quality)
http://empirenac.com/JianSeaSmall.mov (7 mb, very crappy quality)
Sorry the quality isn't very good, but the full quality version is over 300 mb.
Constructive critisism is always welcome. Please, if you don't tell me where I could make it better, how am I supposed to improve? I would have posted all the still renders and pictures I made for this, but that would be way more than the size I could use of the donated space I put the movies on.
This also means that I will finally be able to spend more time online, and start working on projects I *want* to do as opposed to what I'm told to do. However, it's looking like in not too long I will finally have a job. Atom, the mind behind the game the trailer was made for is looking to start up a new company. I think I really impressed him, seeing as he's already told me he'll be paying me a retainer fee (!!!), even though I'd never even mentioned one. I really hope this works out, because one of our first projects will be making Jian Sea into a computer game.

Well, I can't really comment since I couldn't see much with the postage sized quicktime. Have you considered DivX, Mpeg4 or that H.262something video format? My poison of choice is DivX. Small file size and good quality as well. Unfortunately, I have to convert it to Flash on FA (just a wrapper really).

If you drag the window size up it will resize the image with it, or just click the maximise button. I noticed it always appeared really tiny myself, but I assumed it was a quirk of the player.

It's still tiny in the browser window (quicktime bleh). I downloaded it and use Media Player Classic (my poison of choice) and it plays fine. Pretty good video there. The only thing I didn't like was the long blackscreen at the beginning. I thought it wasn't working a first.

Yeah, I've gotten mixed reviews at first. I was origionally going to have text there mirroring what I said, but I didn't manage it in time. Other people really liked it though. Sort of like the beginning of the LotR films.

I guess it's a matter of taste. Maybe some quick flashbacks interlacing the black screens. Just an idea.
