Howdy folks!
I'm working full steam on the FA: United site, and I'm in need a few awesome artists to help contribute to the site. Our 2010 theme is "Gamers United", and we've got special guests from the gaming industry and others stopping by to offer panels, discussions and much more. So, because of that, we need art to use on the site to help show off the goods!
So we need a few helpful hands to lend us their creative hiveminds to flesh out the site.

Art Requirements:
* Art must have NO BACKGROUND
* New, original art preferred (but we'll except older art if it's equally as awesome). Must not be edits of copyright art
* NO COPYRIGHT CHARACTERS! But cosplay is just fine!
* Must involve a gaming theme (PC/console) and/or fursuiting
* Art must PG-13/family friendly
* Art sent in may be considered for use for the FA: United 2010 conbook, so the higher the resolution the better!
* Deadline: End of September
Random Prizes:
3X entry level registrations will be given out to submitters. =D

Okay, Im sure this is a REALLY (Probably REALLY REALLY) stupid question but: "3X entry level registrations..." whats the 3X mean? A level of registration (at FWA we've got different levels)? A number of registrations being given out? 3Christ registrations?!?!
As much as I'd really love to go, I can't make the trip to Jersey from down her' in Florida. But I wanna help out anyhow ^__^ Anything for FA-related stuff (Except the forum -.- *shakefist*)

I'll probably do something original and cosplay a game not pokemon x3 probably something like mirror's edge, one of my favorite games that came out some what recently. O and about the art. Any particular layout (IE make it in a banner style) you'd like us to do or just keep it to full body shots?

I'm just curious, incidentally, I am in no way an artist.
It's VERY unlikely I'll be able to go. That happens to be right around the busiest time for my company. But, I already have a pencil sketch worked out. Is a little dialog okay?
i was starting to get afraid that it would be while I was at school still, heh. I've hit up the first two, hope to make a running habit of it.

im going to whip out my DSi to snapshot the art NOW!

I agree with hum, It seems we'll have to have our original characters in video-game character's clothing? (i.e. cosplay?)

what is the resolution needed?
what are *your* criterias for the selection, just to don't make the artist waste their time attempting at doing something?
what are your copyright policy for this contest?
is it necessary to go to fa:u to participate and post an entry?

Resolution wasn't defined, just "the bigger, the better". Preferably square shaped, but doesn't have to be. Taller is better than longer, square is best. That's all I know.
Copyrights are no copyright characters, i.e. Fox McCloud and such. Characters cosplaying as them is fine.
You can submit artwork for the contest, you don't have to go to the convention to participate.

wait. does this mean that 3 people will be selected at random from all of the entries, each submitter selected will get 3 registrations, or that only 3 people will win?

also: if someone's character is a "copyrighted species", does that still fall under the 'coplay' umberella? (ie: seeing as you can draw a fox as mario, could you have some art featuring a moogle or a yoshi as long as they arent "Mog" or the "Yoshi"?)

i play on steam every winter( too much snow to do anything else) so i tend to game alot, this is why i'm wondering, anyways i hope you get back to me soon
