merf, looks like the wiikly news report will have to settle without a review this week x.x while I was playing the wii gave me an error and it started to not boot any of the games I'd put in...after that it started to not even recognize the wii discs as such and then is simply started to go nuts with the sounds x.x
also, for some weird reason I can't copy or move the save datas of brawl and mario kart on the SD card, even though there's plenty of space for both of them...so yeah...I'll buy a new wii as soon as I can x.x and if someone haves a solution for this save data problem I'll gladly take it...thank you v.v

FA+

It just stopped reading discs..
I haven't got an SD card to copy data across, so all my files will be lost. :c
And good luck chu!
That sucks sparky *Huggles* i hope it's fixed soon
i hacked my wii to get a backup of its memory, in case something is ever going to happen to mine...
although, if it's a hardware defect, even that would not help >.>
If there is a way I would ask the Nintendo Website about this issue.
Well... my tastes are kind of diverse, actually...
It's cool. We're not really telling each other much at this point, anyway.
But hope itll be alright in the end.
Just by any chance, were you playing brawl when it happened?
Nintendo is charging me $75.00 to repair mine when it was THEIR game that broke it. Why should I have to pay if THEIR game broke it?
Still annoys my that I have to pay $75.00 to repair X_X
Joking, that kinda sucks though, still waiting for that to happen to my wii back home, it never gets turned on so I'm surprised there's not like... A colongy of ants living in it or something ><;
But, y'know... stuff breaks. My Brawl disc is on its last leg, as it were. Takes about 10 minutes to get it to work... Electronics don't tend to last, I suppose.
But, yeah. Hope you get it fixed or replaced soon!
...se si brucia il super nintendo mi faccio l'harakiri (-_- )
Meanwhile my PS3 seems to only recognize Bluetooth signals from my remote and/or controller every other time I boot it up, too... >_<;;
Why does stuff have to break??
And the reason why you can't copy those data is because they contained Friend Codes. So it's like a privacy protection.
Overall its possable. The Wii can die like everything else most of the game systems now a days have internal memory and memory when its reused 1000000 times will start to fail.
I'm so sorry for you T_T
I totally know how you are feeling T_T
Also you cant move brawl or mariokart data becuase it is a wifi game thingy, ive also tried..didnt work....kicked my wii a couple of times...right now im looking for someone to repair it...
