The answer to all or atleast most of your questions.
For the sake of preventing what happened yesterday from ever happening again. I can up with a list of things that stating what I know, what I'm improving on, why characters look the way they do, why I even draw anthro characters, and how you should go about suggesting it to not just me but anyone (artist or not) that you may try to "help". So that you don't get attacked for what YOU feel is no reason to get pissed about.
For everyone else, treat this as a Mischief Knights 1 year anniversary special.
What I can draw decently:
Cars 3D and 2D perspectives
Humans (Anime/Cartoon and Realistic) 2D and 3D perspectives
Anthros all species 2D and 3D perspectives
Robots and Mecha 2D and 3D perspectives (to a point though)
All Weapons 2D and 3D perspectives (takes a bit of time do to me being a detail freak when it comes to them)
What I can barely draw:
Animals (shocked?)
Buildings
trees
bushes
plants
clouds (I just don't know why it's so hard for me? O_o)
pretty much everything else. There really isn't anything I can't draw.
Why is it that you seem to only draw Anthros?
To be honest, all I use to draw were either male humans and robots up until one day when I was practicing the female autonomy back in 2007 and created an original sonic female fox character (this was around the time I was working on and obsessed over "Breaker Phantom"). After scraping my plans to make a Sonic web comic do to it feeling like a VG cats clone with Sega only games. I created my own project originally called "Ninja Chronicles" until I changed the name to "Dash Chronicles" later that same year after getting a Naruto vibe. (do you see a pattern in all this?). As I worked on it for months and months I began to focus all of my attention and artwork towards project "Dash Chronicles".
Over time in early 2008, I began to expand on the idea eventually creating 3 series. The "Dash Series" which contained the following stories (Dash Chronicles, Mischief Knights, Dash Chronicles 2: Shooting Star, and Mischief Knights 2: Cursed Bloodline). The "Advent Series" which takes place 25 years after the "Dash Series" and contains the following stories (Advent Chronicles: Metal Future, Advent Chronicles 2: Infected Metal, Lament Knights: Cards of Fate, and Lament Knights 2: The Last God). And the "Legends of Alterra Series" which is a series of stories about different characters and events that weren't apart of the main storyline that took place before, during, between, and after the "Dash Series" and the "Advent Series". This is why nearly all of my artwork may contain anthro characters because most most the cast in the "Dash Series" and some of the Cast in the "Advent Series" and "Legends of Alterra Series" are anthros.
Your art Style is similar to Sonic. Why?
Growing up as a kid. I was a fan of Sonic. It was the first video game I ever got for the Sega Genesis (The glory days of gaming). So it's not a surprise that my anthro characters bare likeness to the blue blurr himself. However, as time progresses and as I improve my skills, my designs will move farther and farther away from that style. Currently I'm working on a new art style I dubbed "Velvet & Black" which will push my anthro designs more and more closer to human like designs and farther away from the Sonic Style. In fact the current profile pics are proto-types of that design.
Why do some of your characters look the same?
Currently the characters Sarina Phantom, Xaniras Vandalia, and Silvia Phantom, all look very similar to one another. This is because Xaniras's and Silvia's designs were proto-type designs for Sarina Phantom which were each originally made with the intent to top Sonic Team's "Rouge The Bat" character in terms of design (I didn't really have anything else better to do at the time) that were eventually added to the "Dash Series" and later "Advent Series". In the end after finalizing Sarina's design. I couldn't bring my self to scrap there designs so they eventually became their own characters with Silvia becoming Sarina's mother's design. Anyone else is entirely by accident. And will look more different then one another as time progresses.
Since you can draw any species in anthro form. How come most of the anthro Characters so far are cats?
This was entirely by accident. Before I knew it, most of the cast had ended up being cats. I just couldn't bring my self to scrap their designs for new ones is all. At least there different breeds though. ^_^;
Alright then, since your so "sensitive" to bad suggests. How should we suggest ways to help you.
Explain what you don't like or what you feel needs to be fixed in a nice respectful way like "The character's arm looks misshapen." or something like that at the least. Then suggest ways as to how to fix it and/or post tutorials on how to fix said problem. Saying something is awful, terrible or flat out bashing and trolling them (Pojo's art section as well as DA it's self is despised because of this)is not going to help anyone in anyway except make you a flame target for them and everyone else to burn till a admin/mod intervenes. On one of the stable forums I'm on. The admins/mods would likely join on the flaming before closing it.
Well that's it for this list. Read it well and I won't try to find and run you over with a real life working replica of Ridge Racer's Class 6 Raggio Type Z that I may conveniently find parked somewhere.
