(Six years since my last journal post? Time flies...)

Needless to say a lot of things have changed since this page was updated last. I'm not gone forever, I'm not retiring or rage quitting and nothing's getting deleted. The truth is, I'm just not as young as I was when I started this, and I no longer have the kind of time to be terminally online doing furry stuff with my job and RL going the way they are.

To address the most important matter: If you donated to the crowdfunded comic project in 2016, know that it is officially canceled. The artist and I are not working together. I have your Paypal addresses saved, feel free to note me or contact me if you have my other info (please don't share it with anyone who doesn't have it already if you do) and I'll be refunding everyone who donated to make it a reality over the next couple of weeks. I want to thank everyone for your patience and know that I'm as disappointed with the outcome as you must be.

Updates here will continue, though they will be sporadic. I'm glad that people enjoyed the works I've commissioned over the years and I urge all of you to support local and independent content creators when you can. I like to think I learned a lesson about managing expectations, both mine and others', and I hope people keep supporting this community with love and creativity for years to come.

Maybe I'll see some of you at a con in the future. Until then, remain excellent to each other. ✌

So a week or so ago I posted up a signal boost for  nuciferyne http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/7399571/ Well, the situation's worse than I thought. A lot of her medical problems may be due to mold exposure in her house, the situation looks fairly serious. Right now she's packing up to find some place to stay but it's pretty urgent.
If anyone's thinking about commissioning or just donating to help her out, now would be a really great time to do it. Please.

Would anyone contribute? I'd love to have some support with my ideas and creative ventures. Depending how big it all got, I'd be able to move on to more ambitious projects as well. Think of me as a publically traded company, haha.

Honestly, I'd hoped to bring in more last time, but then again it seems like the bubble from the early 2010s has pretty much burst (though the potato salad thing and Super Troopers 2 seemed to do well, other...people have no doubt soured would-be investors on the whole thing, and that's all I'll say on the matter) and with TFF being that same week people may have been short on cash.

Would there be interest in trying something similar at a later date? End of this year or beginning of next at the earliest.

Seriously, to everyone who contributed, thanks so much <3 I couldn't have done it without you guys. An artist whose work I love is offering a full-length comic commission and I can't foot (heeee puns) the bill solo, so I'm asking everyone here to help pitch in! This could be the first truly collaborative effort between you, my watchers, and me. I know I post a lot of charity journals here, trying to reach as many as I can (as of this writing there are 2452 watchers - if each of you donated just one quarter the goal would be met and THEN some!) This isn't one though. I'm not asking for handouts, I'm asking YOU to be a part of what will be the biggest, and most legendary AlphaZion project to date: a full length *fifteen page* B/W comic!

That's right, and YOU can make it happen!

Good news and bad news.

The good news is, I might be able to commission an artist for a 15-page B/W comic with whatever I want in it (yay!)

The bad news is I don't have the one thousand dollars to pay for this commission and that is a LOT of money to spend on a commission.

Sooooo. I'm thinking I might start up a GoFundMe or the like to see who's willing to contribute. Would you rather see Rain, Storm, Mallory and Sierra getting by in a world where humans coexist with furries and people aren't so prudish about sexy stuff and fetishes? Or does a fantasy adventure with Queen Leorina, Ashanti, the gypsy vixens and others appeal more? I'm genuinely curious to know - or maybe something else altogether.

I'm not sure of how much I'll be able to afford to put in the pot for this. I was thinking match 50% of donations (so I'd put in $1 of my money for every $2 raised). I'd have to scrimp for a bit but it might be well worth it...dunno if I could do it in just 2 weeks though!

Am I that difficult to deal with?

I know I can be...particular, and my areas of interest are a bit unusual to people who don't share them, but lately I've been getting the cold shoulder and having my business outright refused by artists. As in:

I'm not sure how else to take that. :/ That and several artists have taken my money then broken off contact. I've sent emails, Skype messages and even posted on Artists Beware. Am I just impossible to get along with?
