EF19 3d pics/video for Nintendo 3DS and on youtube
Posted 12 years agoHere's the zip file with my 3d pics converted for Nintendo 3DS
http://t.co/WnyHJVFIZv
just put them in one of the pictures folder, I've named the file from HNI_1000, so it shouldn't be a problem until you've took more than 999 pics with your 3ds.
A few videos will be available too.
I've created a youtube playlist where I will put my 3d videos too :
http://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis.....9W2mQn2RXEUmfq
more are to come in the next few days.

Ef pictures for Nintendo 3DS
Posted 13 years agoHere's a few pictures from this EF converted for Nintendo 3DS
https://hotfile.com/dl/171065385/48.....8_3ds.rar.html
Those files will work with any 3D tv screen or computer, but the quality will be a little low.
Pictures will be available on Timduru's fursuit archive too in full quality, in parallel view, so you can make your own 3D files, or see it without glasses if you can do the parallel view eye trick, or even use blue and red glasses. Just use Stereophoto maker, it's a little free software which doesn't require installation (it's just an exec file).
I've named the file from HNI_1000 in order that people don't erase some of their pictures accidentaly, but be careful if you have already more than 1000 pictures on your 3DS.
My pictures from EF17 for 3DS are still avalaible here too :

Selling my old 42" screen
Posted 14 years agoI'm putting that here, as it could interest even some people living not too far from french border.
I'm selling my old 42" plasma screen. It's a panasonic TH42PW6, with a TUPT600 TV tuner.
http://www.superfi.co.uk/P-5183-dis.....a-display.aspx
http://demo-tv.nl/paansonic-tuner-t.....600-p-700.html
It's working really fine, screen has a VGA input, and tuner has a YUV plug that worked with my PS3 in 1080i mode (wii works great too with a YUV cable).
I'm selling it 200€ if you can pick it up here, if not, I can deliver it somewhere, or to your place (depending of the distance) as long as you pay for the gas. I can't send it by post office, as it's heavy and fragile.
Price is 200€ if you pick it up here.

Some disney 3D pictures
Posted 14 years agoHere are some 3D pictures of my last trip to Disneyland Paris last monday.
It's very convenient to live only one hour from the parc ^_^
http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v.....02011/?start=0
Of course, there are a lot of character's pictures, and I even got some of Rabbit, which is one of my favorite character in the parc ^_^ But I never had the chance to see him a lot.
To see the 3D should be easier with my last pictures of November, as I've made some improvements. It should be better with some 3D screen, and you shouldn't have to make a lot of change to be able to see it correctly in anaglyph with stereophotomaker.
My little manual on how to see the 3D is still here :

Posted 14 years agoI've finally my plane tickets. They were really hard to get this year ^_^!
I will leave Paris with Tifou the 7th of January to go to San Fransisco. Spend few days around before the convention starts. Then we will go to Los angeles and Las vegas for few days. Our plane will leave the 21th of January from San Fransisco airport in the afternoon.
In the past, I didn't have problems to find cheap direct flights from Paris, but prices were almost as expensive as plane tickets for AC.
I found a good deal for flights from Delta two days ago, and tonight, the same flights were almost 200€ higher.
We were able to find a website that have still some good prices with KLM. Only few dollars higher than Delta. Still 600€, but at least it still better than most of the prices that I've found those last days for flights that could leave saturday before the convention start, and leave next saturday after the con.
I hope me and Tifou will be able to see a lot of you there, and if you're in the same area than us before or after the convention and want to show us some places or hang around with us, don't hesitate to contact us.

I don't think I will use it a lot for now, maybe when I will have a better cell phone, or maybe when I will be in a furry con to stay in touch with people there.
But mostly I will use it to keep in touch with a lot of people who seems to have switch from lj to twitter now.

A good thing finally done
Posted 14 years agoI finally managed to do my vacuum table.
http://imageshack.us/photo/my-image.....dsc0776zg.jpg/
http://imageshack.us/photo/my-image...../dsc0777m.jpg/
Now I just need to wait for silicone to dry a bit, and to find an adaptator or something to make my vacuum cleaner fits it. But it seems to work even with just duct tape to fill the gap of where the final adaptator will be.
I've made it quite big, just in case one time I need to do a big project.
The area is 60*60 cm, but I can still make it bigger by adding more holes to it, maximum size could reach 86*78 cm if I want.
I will need to find a really bigger oven than I've now, or a way to heat bigger size plastic sheets properly. For my first try with my little oven, I will just hide some holes with the tape like on my pictures below to reduce the size of the vacuuming area.
I will finally be able to have an use for all those plastic sheets I've got with me for years.
For those of you who don't know that kind of thing, here's a sample of how it's working, you heat a plastic sheet, you put it on a sculpt of something, and the table by sucking up the air adjust the plastic sheet on the sculpt.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NPLW.....eature=related
I will use it to work on some of my fursuit or cosplay head projects, then on some accessories I wanted to do since long.
On a different total news, it seems that praying mantis really love my places. I've found several here and there hunting in my garden.
But it seems that there numbers have decreased by twice lately, and of course it seems that there are only females left now. This nice and really big one, nearly ten centimeters long, as found a place under the windows of my kitchen and have laid twice there.
http://imageshack.us/photo/my-image...../dsc0760i.jpg/
It's keeping ferociously his eggs here and those one have really a good view because it was staring at me even from far away.
I think that poking them with a stick just to annoy them when they were younger in the garden was not a so good idea after all ^_^!

how to see my pictures in 3D
Posted 14 years agoHere's some hints on how you can watch my 3D pictures without glasses, where to buy glasses to watch them proprely on your screen if you can't do it without glasses, and how to use Stereophoto Maker to modify the file and to do your own anaglyph depending of what kind of glasses you have, and even make files that can work on your Nintendo 3DS, or your 3D tv screen.
My pictures are in parallel view mode.
It means that picture for the left eye is at the left side, and picture for the right eye is at right side.
Most people won't be able to see it in 3D if the picture is larger than 5", so the best way to get use to see it is to work with a thumbnail of one of my picture, and when you get the trick to increase the size of the picture to fit your view. Don't push yourself too hard for a first time, just decrease a little bit the size of the thumbnail until you get it, then try bigger.
Here's a little graphic explanation.
First picture is one of Titash and his girl friend at the convention, they made a great couple believe me ;)
http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v.....;current=1.jpg
Now try not to focus directly at the picture but like you're watching something further your screen.
You should see a very blurry image, something like that
http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v.....;current=2.jpg
like there were 4 meerkats now at your screen.
Now the hard part, you have to try to focus more or less further your screen until you've got the two meerkats in the middle to merge into one.
When you see something like that, you're almost at the good point.
http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v.....;current=3.jpg
If it's too hard for your eyes, just decrease the size a bit, and it will be ok.
The best way to see it, and with it you can even watch parallel view video on youtube, is to use sepcial glasses for parallel view.
You can find different way to do it by searching around google, or buy a pair on the website on my 3D lens maker here
http://www.loreo.com/pages/products.....3d_viewer.html
it works great for computer screen, and even on larger screen than 17", it will be just a little more blurry.
It seems that large model for bigger screen is sold out for the time being, but you can buy glasses for 5 to 7" wide pictures too.
If none of those two methods can work for you, or if you have blue/red glasses, or a 3D screen or even a 3DS, there's another way to do it.
You can use stereo photo maker.
http://stereo.jpn.org/eng/stphmkr/index.html
This soft is really great, it's a freeware, no need to install a full software or anything, just launch the exec file and it's working without adding a directories or modify anything on your computer, you can even browse your 3D file with it. So don't hesitate to use it.
First just open one of my file with it, you will have two pictures on your screen.
If you can't do parallel view but can cross eye, just press the swap side button
http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v.....;current=4.jpg
Cross eye is almost the same than parallel view, except that you're trying to look the end of your nose instead of behind your screen.
Left eye should see the right side of the picture, and right eye the left side, and just focus until you have it.
If you have colored eyes glasses, just go to those buttons
http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v.....;current=5.jpg
you can select the models of your glasses, and if you want a black and white or color anaglyph. With my pictures and red blue glasses, left eye should be red and right eye should be blue. Just use swap side button if your glasses are inverted.
If the picture look like this
http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v.....;current=6.jpg
it's not the best to see it.
Just use arrows so the both image are a little more adjusted, like this :
http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v.....;current=7.jpg
Best way to do it is to use the eyes of the fursuit, and when it's done just put your glasses.
By using left and side arrows of your keyboard, you can even make the picture going out from your screen.
For 3Dtv/computer, just save file as a mpo or a jps.
For a nintendo 3DS, it's a little more complex.
You will have to go to edit, then resize.
640*480 and less should be ok.
If the picture is too wide, it will crash your DS, and you will have to reboot.
Second problem, there will be two black bands around my pictures, and 3DS have no way to zoom in for now, but with stereo photo maker you can make a selection by cropping the picture and see it full screen on your DS.
Just register the file in mpo file format and rename it like the ones in your 3d picture files in your SD card.
If you have questions or want to add something, feel free, and I will adjust and correct this little manual.

finally back home and sorting pictures
Posted 14 years agoI'm finally back at home since yesterday afternoon. I was still a little dizzy after a little trip to Paris but now it's seems quite better. Not enough sleep, too much food and subway germs are not a good mix.
Right now, I'm trying to sort all the pictures I've taken during EF.
I've a little more than 14000 pictures to edit and select.
It will probably take me a few days, even if in the 3D ones I've took, plenty are a little blurry or very identical. But still, even just browsing the entire set tooks almost 4 hours if you stay 1 second on each picture. That's the counterpart of having a camera able to take 10 pictures a second ^_^!
I will upload some of it tonight or tomorrow on my FA account, and others will be uploaded on Timduru's fursuit archive (fursuit.timduru.org). I will do a little help guide to explain how people can see them in 3D even without glasses on eurofurence forum when it will be uploaded.

A little 3D video of fursuits
Posted 14 years agoI've put a little and non edited video of our fursuit outing in Bruxelles, Belgium three weeks ago.
As for my disney videos, it's kind of a test, and can be seen in various way with the 3D options of youtube. So all my apologies for the very basic montage. I'm quite happy with the result, but the pictures are a little much better. I took nearly 3000 pictures from that day, and a little selection of it will be avalaible on Timduru's fursuit archive soon, so keep an eye on it and get your red and blue glasses ready (even if you can watch it in 3D without glasses with cross and parallel eyes view technincs).
Have fun :

First try of 3D in video
Posted 14 years agoAs it was a nice weather today, and as I've just bought an annual passeport for Disneyland Paris, it was the perfect moment to go there this afternoon, and to do some mascot stalking.
I did plenty of pictures, and the result are quite better that I was expected.
So I tried to use the video mode of my camera with the lense and to check if it could work. I'm quite happy about it, even if I have to use some cheap wide angle lenses, so I didn't have to go at 10 miles from the characters, and even if they are kind of blurry in the corner, it's quite ok it seems.

After AC florida trip
Posted 15 years agoHere's the first part of pictures I've took this summer after AC.
Pictures of AC are avalaible on TImduru's website here :
http://fursuit.timduru.org/view/Fur.....throCon/AC2010
And pictures of my trip are avalaible on Photobucket.
Yet so far, I only have had the time to upload really few pictures. Some of the day I've visited Epcot Center are here
http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v.....pcot%20center/
and pictures of my day at Magic Kingdom here :
http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v.....gic%20Kingdom/
As you can imagine, there's lot of characters pictures there ;)
Some will probably follow, but since I've came back from US the workload here is really heavy, and don't give me opportunities to try to make something nice with all the video shoots from AC and from my trip. I have something like more than 5000 photos and almost 24 hours of video.

I'm back
Posted 15 years agoI finally arrived safely to France.
I'm really happy to have met so many people at AC, and to have been able to see some other on the road. Thanks again to all of you.
By the way, happy birthday to you Vandrindgar and thanks again to have come with me to some of the parks on my way, that was very nice of you.
I'm downloading right now all my video tape to my computer, so I should be able to send some shoots of your fursuits to people who have asked for it in few days, and thanks again to you to have posed for me ^_^

Where to find me
Posted 15 years agoNow that I've the schedule, here are some of the event I will probably go to
tonight : I will go in few minutes to record the fursuit charades, and after that I will probably get something light to eat and get ready for the dance. I won't probably dance a lot, and rest a lot in the fursuit loundge.
Friday : I will probably go to the power of pretend, and then check for the fursuit dance preliminaries to check if there's something nice to record there. Maybe I will go to the fursuit meet and greet to take some pictures of fursuits around. I will definitively go to fursuit games recess to record that on tape. And friday night as tonight I will probably go to the dance and check both dances (the fursuit one and the one in the ballroom).
Saturday : I don't know if I will go to Fursuit Story hour or making your suit live. I will be at the fursuit parade, and then I will probably go in suit at the huskies meet and greet, but probably more around the end to see if they will do a group photoshoot. I will go to the Masquerade and try to record that if I had a good spot.
Then dance.
Sunday : I will go to see fursuit dance finals and then fursuit games team challenge, and that's quite all ^_^
That should be all the places you will probably find me if you want to say hello.
I will be in Nouga sometime so it won't be hard to spot me when in suit, and when not in suit, I've glasses, long hair, black tee shirts and a video camera in the hand and do some fursuit stalking.

Pittsburgh city here we come but without phone
Posted 15 years agoI've just arrived in my first hotel somewhere between the airport and AC, and will be at the westin tomorrow afternoon.
The departure was nearly a nightmare, with security at the airport in France being suspicious because of the fursuit in my luggage and wanted to check if I had a work and plenty other questions that usually I've got only from the immigration officer in US or from the customs officer (they even test all my electronic devices with a special engine for explosives, please call me when extremists will blow themself in a big dog costums, I would love to see that). The officer even told me I was looking nervous, I told her I don't see why I would be nervous, I've arrived at the airport long before the registration limit, have printed my boarding card at home to have some more free time, and now I was late for boarding because of her checking things that are usually checked when I'm in front of the immigration officer who we will ask me exact same thing. I didn't even had the time to go buy a book in the airport to read in the plane (I've usually always half an hour or an hour to do so).
Now if we need to justify all our life twice, once at the departure and a second time at the immigration, that's beginning to be ridiculous.
The funniest thing is as everytime the officer at the US immigration was pleasant and nice, only check the usual stuff. Strange thing is that I've submit the new internet form "ESTA", and it doesn't seems to have it on his computer, but he simply said it was ok and that we will check that in the office with someone else. They only asked me if I had fill it, I said that I did and was ready to give them the paper that I've printed, and they didn't even checked it and said it was ok.
But after that, we have to get through another security check point at pittsburgh, and the funny part, a second bagage claim, as we couldn't pass the security after the first bagage claim with our luggage.
I really wonder what's the point of doing that. We were just exiting from a plane who has got through a really heavy security check before leaving France, we go through another one before the bagage claim, after that we are going through another security check after the customs, to have our luggage inspected once more by the TSA who take them back, and who are giving them back at the other side of the airport through another bagage claim. Some people with me were getting kind of upset by that. You're really happy to finally get your luggage back with you, and they are taking them from you for you to grab them later.
And speaking of things that doesn't exist, it seems that my phone account is corrupted on the servers of my provider, and since two days, we are trying to put the international option on my cell phone but it doesn't seems to work. So I'm without phone for few days I think.
If you need to reach me, do it by my email account on my profile here, or on my hotmail.com account for those of you who have it.
If I still don't have a working cell phone till this week end, I will probably took one here, and I will give it to people that need to contact me for my travel here.
AC travel plans for this year (Florida/Louisiana/Texas)
Posted 15 years agoI'm looking for some ideas for a trip after AC this year.
I'm still waiting for someone to answer me to know if I will visit her place before AC, or if I will go directly to the convention (so if you're reading this Ginger, please check your emails, I need your answer really soon, as I will take my plane tickets next week).
But after AC, I was thinking about renting a car in Pittsburgh, and to go first from Pittsburgh to Orlando, and then maybe to push the travel after florida to Louisiana and to Texas. I will try to find things to see and to do along my way, but if some of you wan to join me on my trip, or even want to show me some places if I'm on their way, or even if you want to join me for a day or more, feel free to contact me.
So, my current plan is to leave Pitsburgh the 28th after AC, then to rent a car and to go to Charlottes or somewhere around there to spend the night. Then a second day of road to go from Charlottes to somewhere near Jacksonville or Jacksonville itself.
After that my main priority would be to go to Orlando the 30th june and to spend a few days in the parcs around like Universal studio and to do some mascot stalking in Disney ;p or attractions or to see things we don't have here in the french parc.
I'm still looking for other ideas around Florida too, I don't know if I will go as far as Miami, but I think I will spend like five days in florida, then take the road around the 4 or 5th July from somwhere near Tampa then to spend the day to go to New Orleans and to spend a day or two there if there's something to see, and then to take the road to texas and spend again a few days there, like 3 or 4 days, until I take a plane from Houston to get back to France the 10 or 11th July.
I would be happy to meet on my way some locals, or if you know things to do or to avoid on that pretty long road.
So as I said, if you're willing to show me some places if you live on some of those areas, or even think about joining me, or have some other interesting trip ideas, feel free to contact me ^_^
