I believe the vast majority of you is already aware of the Lackadaisy animated project, from the very beautiful, successful and rewarded comic by Tracy J. Butler.

As you know, there is already a long pilot on Youtube, that received widespread critical acclaim, so the staff launched a crowfunding for a complete season - and boy, did it pulverize its initial goals!!! So much so that the full first season of five episodes having been largely secured, they decided to add two more goals. Since the anouncement of the new rules implemented to FA, I am struggling every day, every hour to decide whether I will leave too.

I always supported the admins of FA, forgave them so many punctual hiccups (nobody can pretend to be perfect or to please everyone), was always promoting the site. Well that is definitely over, I just completely lost my trust in the moderation team all at once.

I did not agree with, but I understood the cub policy, because it is clearly against the law in some states/countries. But chibi/toony characters (yes, that's basically that, don't play on the words)? No, you are not fighting minor pornography, you are just dropping your pants before the woke community that's been damaging the whole world for a decade now. You are NO art site anymore, no place for artists to express themselves, art is DREAMING, FIGHTING, IMAGINING, REBELLING - but you are just like us french with the Vichy government during WWII (and we had much better excuses than you do to do so).

So tell me,  dragoneer, who will be the ones who will judge what is acceptable and what is not? Is that the admin who, several years ago, threatened me about a picture I posted of Riff-Raff eating out Cleo due to an underage character? Riff-Raff the midget? SERIOUSLY??? You mean that extremely obscure show (Heathcliff) that is notorious for displaying shotas and lolis???????????????

With this blow you have succeeded is dismantling the old guard, everybody is scattering around, we are losing sight of artists/friends we knew for more than 20, 30, even 40 years or more, because there is no other federating furry site like FA was.

Yep, congratulations FA, You have succeeded in disbanding your historical grounds, not sure you care though. my last commission from five monthes ago is now completed. It gave  jace one of his last moments of joy on this material plane and I will never thank you enough for the help you provided him through those.

So now, I am ready to take a few more commissions, my own financial situation being, let's say, already discutable for this whole month.

Here are again my rules:

* Of course, I won't accept a commission from somebody whose FA profil is new, blank or has a negative reputation (I know where to look at).
* I will draw one character, in my usual B&W style
* The price for that commission will be $40
* There is a number of things I won't accept: blatant porn (but erotism is welcomed), activism (political, sexual, whatever)... Please send me a Personal Message first before anything with your idea, so we will see if it's acceptable for me or not
* If I accept your commission, I will ask for half the payment upfront. The second half will have to be sent as soon as you accept the rough I will send you for revision (see below).
* You'll get a rough before the finished product, this will allow you to ask me any useful modification. REASONABLE modification, not a complete re-do, of course... I have a gallery, you know what I am capable of and what not, so there is no reason to reach that point, above all if your description is detailed enough.
* Any more character or (simple) background will raise the price, just ask me and we will work it out if absolutely needed - this might delay the delivery though.
* Be aware that I may be quite slow to deliver your commission. My last batch of four took me five monthes. Please don't complain about it, or I will terminate the deal.

I can't stand it anymore, so I'm doing this journal to which I'll point a link to instead of repeating the same thing again and again.

I more and more frequently see great artists whining over the fact they don't get the recognition or even just the attention they deserve. Of course there are often several factors to this situation, but I am exposing here one that I find absolutely essential: SHOW RESPECT TO YOUR FANBASE IN THE MOST BASIC WAY.

You are an artist, you are posting your art because, like every artist we are, not only you love creating, but you also love being recognized for your talent. We are all attention whores, that is a fact.
Now, contrary to the Mandalorian's belief, there are two ways: by interacting with your admirers, or by remaining cloistered in your ivory tower.

Of course that is your absolute right not to interact with anybody, you can have extremely valid reasons for that I know, and I do respect this. BUT, in that case, DO NOT POST A JOURNAL WHINING ABOUT THE FACT PEOPLE ARE NOT PRAISING YOU EVERY TIME YOU POST SOMETHING.

Imagine you are facing somebody with a mask on his face. You are talking to him, you are flattering him, you are asking him questions, but you got no reaction from him. Absolutely not even a flicker. How much time will you continue to try to get his attention? You are going to walk away very quickly I bet.

This is the same on art sites. Your fans are taking valuable time to write you their joy and pleasure looking at your art, show them respect by answering them. You don't need to write an essay, just a smiley or a heart is often enough. The same way you like to be praised, your fan loves getting a fraction of your attention, and above all knowing you acknowledge his move. That he was just right to comment.
If you don't, what do you think your fan's reaction will be? What would YOUR reaction be in such a case? You are going to wonder if you are being patronized, perhaps even completely ignored, or if you just plainly annoy or anger the artist...

I have an excellent proof of the situation, my own example. Yes, I am around since a very long time, I am relatively prolific and I mainly do R34 of famous characters, these are without doubt also crucial reasons for my significant success. But apart from my very recognizable style, I am quite an average artist, not even capable of delivering color works, which is a huge drawback. Yet, I frequently see mind-blowing, well-recognized artists for a long time and at least ten times better than me, getting inversely proportional feedbacks compared to me. Each time it happens, I let you guess the difference I notice between them and I.............................

Artists, take care of your followers. Cherish them as your own personal treasure, they are your reason to be around. The artist-public relation is a TWO-WAYS interaction, is it really to be reminded?

People who comment and fave my works, THANK YOU once again. You probably don't realize but I remember many of you who regularly comment, and sometimes, when I am looking back at my older posts, I feel really concerned when I see a watcher I don't have anymore news for a long time.

I've just been remembered by  sailoranna that it was Renamon's month, the kind of thing that usually flies way above my head...
Anyway, it's still not too late for me to celebrate it in time in my own way. So let's see what's around if, like me, you badly need a plain figure of our beloved fox-like creature (in her most popular form of course). This will be a little repetitive with some previous journals of mine, in fact it's more like a summary cause there still aren't many figures of her around. Good ones I mean.

KKorpPrints on Etsy, based in Germany but selling overseas, proposes this extremely dynamic kit, which is in promotion right now! A BIG kit for a proportionally very low price. It is printed from an original design made by Manuel De Jorge - if you just want the STL files, he is selling them on his Gumroad page, which link you can find on his Twitter page about it.

DeltaFigurines on Etsy, based in Croatia and selling overseas, proposes two models of their own design and in relatively small scale: the first is declined in three variants, a "canon", a SFW female and a NSFW female, while the second is totally NSFW.

Last one of interest I know on Etsy, SharkBiteMiniatures which is located in the US, proposes this relatively expensive but very big and beautiful model, also in promotion right now but for less than a day, which is available in both SFW and NSFW versions. It is printed under license from a 3D model created by General Buta.
They also had another wonderful model from Manuel De Jorge again, but it is not available anymore, and considering this page, the remaining one shouldn't last long either, so grab yours while it's still time!
By the way, the unavailable one as a kit can still be bought as STL files from Manuel De Jorge's Gumroad, link on his twitter page about it.
Manuel also got another design, sold as STL files, but I did not see it proposed as a solid kit yet. Maybe one of the two shops selling his other designs will eventually, just keep an eye on them.

I told you in some previous journals about FoxenPrints, based in Spain, who was selling his own creations on Etsy but whose shop was axed, well he recently opened his own webstore in which you can find two different, very NSFW models (the one he already proposed and a brand new one). Go support him and his team on his Twitter, he got a lot of wonderful and original projects!

The same way, AnkoroToys who was banned from Etsy, also opened his own shop on the net, and you can also find him on Twitter. Apart from the dynamic Renamon designed by Manuel De Jorge, he had two more, very cute and different models, visible on his main page (here and there), but unfortunately none of those Renamon are available anymore - for the moment... Don't hesitate to "bother" him re-issuing those!

Megahouse proposed recently a lovely official Renamon figure (not a model kit) along with Rika under their G.E.M brand, which was quite totally on-model and cheap - well, that was a couple years ago, because although it can still be found, its price litterally exploded when stocks became scarcer. You can have a look at it for example in this shop on the chinese marketplace Aliexpress.

Finally, keep on eye on  BBMBBF's kit creation page - although not available anymore, he and his team already released two different figures (here and there) and I wouldn't be surprised another will arise one day or another considering the success they had. Keep yourself up to date by creating an account there or follow him on his Inkbunny's page (same name) where he anounces all the new releases.

More great news following this previous journal: following positive test experiences, DeltaFigurines on Etsy is finally opening to the american market, in addition to Europe and the UK beginning from the 2nd of January, 2023! The shop is on holidays for the moment and won't reply your messages if you send any now, but that shouldn't prevent you from sending any in prevision for the grand reopening

I also discovered that CartoonToyzs got far, FAR more models in their sleeves than advertised on their Etsy pages... They confirmed me that they are in fact printing models from their partnership with SillyToys, and that you can ask them to print anything from the quite vast choice visible on that maker's DeviantArt page - you can even see actual painted models there, done by CartoonToyzs.

Lastly, for my fellow european friends, this shop called KKorpPrints based in Berlin, Germany, got a pretty cute Super Deformed Loona and the fantastic Renamon in an awesomely dynamic pose that was once sold by AnkoroToys as I anounced in a previous journal, shop that sadly disappeared from Etsy. And it's cheaper too!

I should say that I wouldn't have been opened so fast if it wasn't for my dear friend  Jace, who is having problems over problems, when it's not with health it's with the conditions he is being treated, or with the cost of all he needs (and it's not only about medication)...

I've got several other friends in need that I would like to help too, but Jace is in my opinion the one who is quite the most needful (he even has been amputated of his toes two weeks ago), and quick, and so the money I'll get from these commissions will directly go to him.

Note that their prices are notably higher (yet extremely competitive) than those of DeltaFigurines, because their figures are already completed (assembled AND painted) - they are also having a 20% sale right now, but not for long I think, so hurry up...

I have seen so many artists saying they are quitting FA for DA by the past, that DA is much better in terms of interface, administration...

Yes, FA interface is a little outdated and lacks many features (they do are working on it, it's not going fast but they don't have much coding means either I believe, this is not a commercial site - oh, by the way, DA's new interface implemented for mobile users is a total mess as everybody have been able to see), we've had a few issues with administrators here and there... Which community doesn't have any??!!!

I always thought FurAffinity was one of the best places everything considered, I never hid that, and if FA went to mess up big time I would simply disappear, not wanting to upload the art I am showing here anywhere else. I also often insisted in DeviantArt being a tentacular commercial monster, too big for its own sake, where you aren't been heard at all when a problem arises if you don't PAY for it, a site that repeatidly allowed nasty viruses spreading through advertisings, taking care of the matter only MONTHES after (I have been personnally impacted SEVERAL TIMES by this so it isn't a rumor I am spreading - for the record FA never, NEVER did this to me)...

And now THIS - DA staff just decided less than a day ago in their mighty financial logic that it was a good thing to allow by default AI picture generators to have access to their member's art for their thievery purposes! So many examples were uncovered of AI-generated pics being almost exact replicas of some artist's creation, and this only because those artists are extremely popular so they have a lot of watchdogs, but how many more unknown artists have been stripped of their babies without anyone noticing?!

The backlash was immediate and strong, many artists just on the spot deleted their gallery, some rightfully cried over dead artists' gallery being looted without any control, those accounts rights being inaccessible to even their family...

In the face of the immediate uproar, DA staff was fast to react, I must admit that (the contrary would just have been suicidal), in turning off the access by default (but some people have noted that this option, quite difficult to find, doesn't seem to be off contrary to what's stated...), but...
... IF ANYBODY DOUBTED ABOUT THAT, DA STAFF REVEALED ITS TRUE FACE. They don't care at all about artists, they care about money, money, money. I still am waiting for somebody to give me a shadow of evidence that it's the case here on FA. Many tried, but I never found any objective fact in their argumentation.

I don't know if I pity or laugh at people who consider DA better than FA (depends on the way they express their concerns), but one thing is certain: I've had a couple grudges against FA by the past, sometimes quite serious, yet I always have been faithful in the site and this JUST strongly reinforced my opinion.

Let me now advertise a couple other furry figure sellers I discovered here and there, but whose figures are to be assembled and painted by yourself. Obviously cheaper to begin with, but reserved to people who have the skills, tools (not this hard to acquite a minimum of them both) and patience (this is more difficult to find nowadays...) to

Thanks to the 3D printing tools and the 3D files websites available nowadays, plenty of people will propose you very nice furry models, but they are usually all the same models you can find on these aforementionned 3D files websites, only their size, quality and price will make the difference.


I would rather like to list you now a small selection of artists who propose either rare characters, or in original poses, sometimes because the sculpted model (either in 3D file or as a concrete prototype) is itself completely new - there are a lot of Lola and Renamon items for example, but they come from awesome to really mediocre.


* Taiwolf on Inkbunny ( https://inkbunny.net/TaiWolf ) almost only does Beastars figures, but he has quite a nice variety of characters besides ill-represented Legoshi, and all of them are extremely on-model. Just unavoidable for all Beastars fan who wants his favorite characters to sit in person on his desk. He is based in the US.

* DBCatchy on Etsy ( https://www.etsy.com/fr/shop/DBCatchy ), based in Canada, has got for the nostagic fans the most accurate (and slightly sexy, not for everybody) Cleo from Catillac Cats I ever saw, and I know of... only two of them (the other being quite a mess)! His other two furry characters (very on-model too) are a nice and sexy female Renamon, and a VERY manly Mewtwo, if you know what I mean.

* AnkoroToys on Etsy (https://www.etsy.com/fr/shop/AnkoroToys ) is based in Spain, and proposes a Renamon in one of the most spectacular and dynamic pose I ever saw. But he also got a few other models which get out of the ordinary, like a very naughty Ankha from Animal Crossing, an Evangelyne from Wakfu, and even an original furry character. This seller also got a wide choice of non-furry characters. Note that he proposes all models either painted or unpainted, and that several ones (like the Renamon) are proposed in a normal or lewd version.

* DeltaFigurines on Etsy ( https://www.etsy.com/fr/shop/DeltaFigurines ), finally, is a new shop based in Croatia that proposes an extremely cheap yet of impressive quality selection of furry models, most of them consisting of a normal and a lewd version. Their latest entry is a very, very lewd female Renamon you will never see anywhere else, but they also got a Loona from Helluva Boss, a female spyro, a lewd Adine from Angels with Scaly Wings (I dare you to find any sculpt from any character of this serie sold anywere else...), and a couple interesting original scaly females. They unfortunately do not sell outside Europa for the moment, but if you are interested in their models, do NOT hesitate to contact them to show your support, as they are seriously studying the international market.

You know, I never really followed the development of the Ukrainian crisis despite being a lot more concerned for several reasons, including a relative proximity. But this journal from  Issarlk made me want to dig a little into it, and what I found through that anlysis (sorry folks, it's all in french) is comforting me in my presentiment that there is not a devilish Putin on one side against an innocent Ukrainia on the other side. Situations are always much more complex and subtle than the actual events make us believe on the edge of emotion.

This is not to start a political debate, although you are welcome to open my vision to some facts (and I insist on the word FACTS) I would be unaware of, but to put light on some context you might not know about and make you think twice about a few things - of course, cold facts do not prevent me from being extremely concerned for the (ukrainian) civil population that always pay the full price in such conflicts. War and poverty shouldn't exist at all, although our very essence imply we will never get rid of those. I even bet there will be some fights in the comments on that journal...


To sum up this 1/4h broadcast, I extracted you these main following facts

* Whether it was for good or bad reasons (there was indeed a genocide in progress at that time that needed to be adressed), NATO bombed Yougoslavia in 1999 (Operation Allied Force) without security warrant from the ONU (United Nations).
Moreover, it bombed an orthodox country right during the Easter holidays (sacrilege), and photographs of at least one american bomb painted with a message of very poor taste rightfully appalled russian opinion - remember that an estimated ration of 1 to 1, to 1 to 4 soldats/civilians were killed by NATO bombs, "justified" as infamous "collateral damages", and even the bottom estimation is far superior than the verified number of victims from the genocide itself

To add affront to scandal, it also happened while Russia itself was in the middle of its own crisis, preventing it from being a part of what falls under their direct concern.

The result of this, is that russians then began to distrust NATO that was presented to them as a defensive and harmless alliance (remember that for future history, guys.....)


* The Minsk agreements in 2015 were signed to bring peace and cooperation between the russian-speaking insurgents, and Ukrainians.

- Every time the political aspect of it was brought on the table, there was by total coincidence bombings from the ukrainian government against the insurgents, then when these latter made retaliations after the ukrainian rapidly withdrew, they were accused to violate the non-aggression agreement

- Despite having said the contrary during his campain, Volodymyr Zelenskywhen declared he will never sign the political aspect of the Minsk agreement when he was elected president. Worse, he betrayed those, for example by enforcing the ukrainian language for business shops for example. You have to know that some regions of Ukainia, like Donbass, are at 95% russian-speaking, and Crimea population just feels russian, not ukrainian


* France (my own country) and Germany are quite fast to put the finger on every Putin's "faux-pas", but none of those blatant ukrainian violations made them raise an eyebrow, in short it's been now 8 years Ukrainia does what it wants without any resistance. So of course, we are not reliable partners anymore in the eyes of Russia to help resolving the crisis


* Washington has every interest in Europa turning away from russian gas and selling us its own instead, and every move made to deteriorate Russian-European relationship should be seen in that light, effectively breaking a multi-centuries old special bond many european countries (especially France) had with Russia



This is it, volks. Of course, if I believe what has been said is correct even if I don't know much about the guest, it was a short interview and many things might have been shortened and omitted (unwillingly... or not). And remember, if you don't agree with something, you are welcome to expose your point of view with facts as long as you save me from any primary anti-communism - if you can't you are also welcome to unwatch me so as I will keep a clean fanbase of intelligent and mature people.

I remind those who would question such a difference in price between both models, that the Renamon figure is twice as big as Lola, the material quality is not the same (though Lola seems to be of quite excellent quality already, it is a PVC 3D printing, while the Renamon is a step further being in resin), and above all, the Renamon comes already prepared and painted, a process that requires a lot of work and is extremely time-consuming.

Both are really worth the money spent in their own field.

I never was satisfied the way Watcher rendered, the original drawing was too blank and didn't show the atmosphere I intended to instill, and the moment I filled the background to correct that the balance was lost.

Two days ago I decided it was time to completely revamp the pic, first by doing something I wanted to try my hands on for a long time, that is to use screentones, since I believe that is what can suit my style best, instead of flat, solid greys. So I learnt how to create them under Potatoshop, and as the pic evolved, I felt the need for even more shadows, more details, more filling... What I came up with at the end after hours of work completely transfigures the original image

Now finally I can consider it a good pic, and I hope you will agree with me~

I don't know how to say this to avoid being melodramatic, you may have noticed I never talk about this kind of things.

Yesterday noon I was walking in my appartment when suddenly I felt my head exploding. Next thing I know is feeling my head side bounce on the floor, without having any memory of my fall. I was hospitalized for the rest of the day but once again the several specialists (heart, neurologists...) who saw me didn't find anything. For them I am in perfect health.

I say "once again" because it's been the culmination of vertigo problems I am having since many years now, that are progressively getting worse, and nobody is able to tell me what's going on.

I was lucky to have fallen on flat ground and only hurt my head on a doorjamb, which probably slightly diminished the fall (and bruised all my neck muscles), but if this would have happened when walking down stairs for example the result would certainly have been different.

I know I will have some more crisis sooner or later, so the final purpose of this journal is, if you don't hear from me for a long time, well...

I will disable comments for this journal because I don't wish dwelling on the subject, I know you would want to show me your sympathy and I really, really thank you in advance for that, but let's move on now that it's been said, I won't talk about it anymore.

I had the honor and joy to buy one previous model and I can tell you they are worth every single dime (see my snapshots here and there). It's not just sold fresh out of the printer but a lot of work is done on them to give such a smooth finish you never can tell it's been 3D printed, then carefully hand painted one by one in an absolute professional way - and as a model kit builder since my childhood, you can believe my stance on that point.

This is another kickstarter-like thing that will probably interest many people. And the original goal is already outperformed by four times, so the production is on its way and there will be no bad surprise like a cancellation.
