Well, that's the aim anyway.... Allow me to explain.

Been having this nagging need to change career for a while now, started just before EF. The journey there finally dropped the last piece of the puzzle into place. Flying.

Soon as I hit the airport I started to realise just how much I missed being in the air and how much I'd love to be able to get back behind the controls instead of just siting in the cabin as a passenger. So I had a bit of a look into it for a week or so after getting back from EF and then didn't give it too much thought till the start of this month.

Found a college that I dropped my details in with and got a call back Thursday night asking if I wanted to register for an aptitude test in February at Manchester Airport, being a little reluctant to part with cash till I had some more info they mentioned they had an open evening that night so I shot straight there from work to get a better breakdown of how they handle their training and what I'd be spending my rather substantial course fees on.

I've never been more determined about something in my life after that open evening. The €79,500 seems a lot more reasonable as it covers absolutely everything apart from things like food and local travel out and around the base. Visa fees, fuel costs, travel out to bases and back, health insurance, accomodation, all of it's covered in the course fee.

But that still leaves the question of how does a 24 year old with a slightly jaded credit history and no property get hold of around €85,000 to cover their course?

That's my dilemma. I'm so determined that I want to make this happen, but I just don't know where to start with the fees ;__;

So... today doesn't feel any different from Friday when I was 23.
Apart from being so shattered XD

Friday was a long ass day, but so worth dragging my butt back out the house after work to go to... the.. club.. >.>
Saturday was fun too, mini-meet wasn't anything special as usual, but the post-meet food and bowling was awesome ^^
Sunday was mostly spent chilling and having to say goodbye to people..

So today seems like a great time to say thanks to those who came along over the weekend and to everyone who wished me a happy birthday, it definitely was for once! :D

Wolfpaw's present has been both awesome and a curse at the same time. Kinect for Xbox... so much fun to play, but also so damn tiring XD

My trip starts Tuesday evening with a drive from Liverpool to Sheffield in a sick car, then a trip back to Manchester for the airport on Wednesday.

However, before setting off I still need to:
*pack
*get currency
*get deoderant
*pack some more

and even when I get to Sheffield I've still got to try and get a fox into a box for the flight, not an easy task! XD

And all this while at some point gettign paperwork sent off so I have a flat to move in to when I get back from the con. Unfortunately due to the timing of EF and the move I'm going to be so skint till the end of October when we get our bonus, I'll also be offline for the most part till the end of the post-EF week at best as Iget my phoneline and broadband set up.

The world-famous Red Arrows have been banned from appearing at the 2012 London Olympics because they are deemed "too British".

Organisers of the event say that the Arrows military background might be "offensive" to other countries taking part in the Games. The display team have performed at more than 4000 events worldwide, but the Department of Culture, Media and Sport have deemed the display team "too militaristically British". Red Arrows pilots were said to be "outraged", as they had hoped to put on a truly world class display for the Games, something which had never been seen before. Being axed from a British-based event for being "too British" is an insult - the Arrows are a symbol of Britain.

The Red Arrows have been excellent ambassadors for British overseas trade, as they display their British-built Hawk aircraft all over the world.

The Arrows performed a short flypast in 2005 when the winning bid was announced, but their flypast at the Games was to have been truly spectacular.

It is to be hoped that common sense prevails
