Cold dead hands
Posted 3 weeks agoI know everyone is nervous that they are trying to stop the sales of furry art, publications, and merchandise be it NSFW or SFW but I will not bow to that. I will continue to be a retailer of furry merchandise any way I can, even if I have to go back to cash. They will take away my choice to sell when they pry it from my cold dead hands.
I encourage people to buy from your favorite artists and retailers, not just digital media but physical items like hand drawn artwork, comics and zines, 3d art like statues and other hand created physical merchandise, things that can't just vanish because a company or government has a snit fit about it and finds a way to nuke it from the net.
I applaud the people who have sprung up the last few years that are trying to find and archive the furry history that wasn't created on the net, actual physical copies of furry history. These people should be encouraged so it is all not lost.

Windshear's Wares has reopened
Posted a month agoWe have reopened the website after a delayed inventory.
Some of the inventory may still show as in stock even though it is sold out, I am working as fast as I can to correct this. Some of the categories most affected are calendars, CD art collections and fanzines and folios. Refunds will be promptly sent for any out of stock items.

This needs to be acted on
Posted a month agoVisa/MC have already forced 2 services to delete adult creator content but it won't stop there. If you think they will only go after "big" sites you are wrong, even those of us with private sites will be targeted. I am waiting for them to go after mine. This censorship is going way to far, literally telling you what you can and can't do. I don't know about you but I am a big freedom and personal choice person.
Everyone should go to these sites below and sign the petitions. Visa/MC decide with profits, maybe if they see how many people (read: profit units ) that are against them and they stand to lose they might change their decision. We can't let a handful of psychologically repressed religious zealots determine how millions of people get to live.

If you think these nutcases will stop with adult stuff you are wrong, once you cave to these type of people they will keep going until everyone is forced to think and act like them. If you don't believe me I can direct you to some fun reading about Germany in the 1920's and 1930's

Anthrocon 2025 after con
Posted 2 months agoAnthrocon 2025 is in the books and it was a splendid one. Sales increased a little over last year and the larger stand was well received. It wasn't without challenges though. None of it could have been done without the help of my assistants,
chakatthriceborn,
gildedtongue,
ruathan,
sethtriggs and Kiare. These 5 friends made it all possible, from loading and unloading, to helping customers, to keeping me going after my CPAP disaster. They made this Anthrocon possible and made it a huge success, I thank them very much.
The chakat models were a huge success, I sold all of them including display models. I will most certainly be offering them and more taur models online in the future.
All of you furs at the convention were the best part, I can't say I have ever been to a convention with such happy and fun loving people and I thank you all for making it an enjoyable experience for me.
I will look forward to next years Anthrocon and hopefully some other shows if I can get accepted.

At Anthrocon
Posted 2 months agoWe finally made it to Anthrocon late yesterday, it has been a comedy of errors the whole time. From not having all boxes of books priced to having to leave some stuff behind because I underestimated amount of product I actually have ( we packed a cargo van so tight you couldn't have fit a piece of paper into there) and then last night I discovered I forgot to pack the power cord for my CPAP which has resulted in me not getting one minute of sleep (I have one on emergency order I am hoping it shows up in a few hours).
Set up starts for us at 1pm and I have no doubt it will take at least 6 hours to do. I shall have pictures of the stand tonight so you can see what to be ready for.
more updates to come.

Convention Dealing Misconceptions: A Thread!
I think some folks don’t quite understand what we dealers do and I just wanted to clear it up a little bit! Not being antagonistic here or anything, just informative bc I think attending folks just don’t think about it!
First, when we get into a con, we pay for the table well before the con happens! It also frequently doesn’t include your reg, so tables can be 150-600$ or much more depending on many factors, including number of tables, the size/location of the con, and if you have assistants.
A big misconception actually for many dealers is that we all have assistants or even staff! I do this alone, most of my friends do this alone or maybe with their partner, all that stuff on my table I packed, drove, and set up by myself! Set up usually takes me specifically 2-3 hours, for some it’s More or less! Even some of the big booths you see are often just 1-2 people and I’ve seen folks take 6-8 hours just to set up! Dealers also come a day early in order to set up for the show and typically leave on Monday after tearing down completely on Sunday evening, but some leave Sunday!
We aren’t really there for fun! Frankly I don’t think I’d go to too many cons if I wasn’t selling (I’m not a crowds guy) and when the hall closes, I’m absolutely wiped regardless of the day. This is a bummer bc some friends I only see at cons so I’ve had to flake on fun activities just bc I can’t.
Now I stand at my table, not everyone does, but many do, and I stand the entire time (6-8 hrs) and typically don’t have anyone to take over if I’m tired! I’m the manager AND the only employee! The only times I have an “assistant” lately are if myself and a friend are sharing a A table and they can take my sales for a bit! If I have my own table or even 2 tables, then I’m SOL since I’m the one man show!
Dealers often get preferential treatment regarding hotels, most furry cons I do set aside rooms for us. This works differently for every con honestly, but if the con is In a hotel, the rooms are in that hotel, if it’s in a con center, the hotel(s) they block out for dealers vary wildly! I know there are folks don’t think we deserve that, but respectfully, I’m there to do my job and show up for the attendees and make it a fun show similar to staff!
Now I love doing cons, I know
I’m not a crowd guy but I love talking to people about my work and my process and see people enjoy what I make and feel honored when people want to take something I made home! But it is VERY exhausting! Everything you don’t see is honestly harder than the stuff you do!
We all have our totes and bags and toolboxes everything goes in, we all have to prep the product for sale (I have to edition, back, bag, and sticker price every print I make) and we all have to pack it and get it where it needs to go and it can be a lot of $$ and work! (I swear I do love my job!!)
We also talk to each other! In the community, I’m friends with mostly other dealers and artists! And this is important to note actually because often there’s a dealers only chat for each con and if someone’s being weird or doing something sketchy, we’ll all know in about 5 minutes :)
Those chats also include staff! So idk in case you were gonna be a fart to someone, you’re about to light the Great Wall braziers and now all of China will know you’re there :)
Oh I did forget, load in and out are always terrible even if the staff has made it as painless as possible just bc dragging a Subaru forester’s ass full of crap ANYWHERE is gonna be exhausting, tho the drive-by table side drop off of AC is the best :)
Quick addition, if a table has things you’re allowed to touch or flip through, please put it back the way you found it! I put them out that way on purpose!
Perhaps a quick word on how much we invest in doing cons? Besides table fees, registration, driving, and hotels, there's so much more! SIGNS, STOCK, LIGHTS, BATTERIES, CARTS, TOTES, ORGANIZERS, POS DEVICES, BAGS, ENVELOPES, STIFFENERS, ADVERTISING, SAMPLES, MAGNETS, ZIP TIES, CHANGE, BOARDS, TABLECLOTHS, ORGANIZERS, PRICE LABELERS, FREEBIES, SNACKS, SANITIZER, THE LIST GOES ON and everything, absolutely everything costs money. We lay out so much cash to do a show that its positively heartbreaking when stuff doesn't sell!

Tariffs hitting my business
Posted 4 months agotoday I just got my first tariff bill for dojins imported from Japan. Right now I am quite well stocked for Anthrocon but if this nonsense doesn't get solved by end of summer I may be forced to do like others and raise prices or not import any new dojins from Japan. Luckily there are no tariffs on American furry comics and fanzines. The downside is I may be forced to halt shipping to foreign countries until this gets sorted.
Our tables at Anthrocon 2025
Posted 4 months agoWe have just gotten our table assignment for Anthrocon and are very pleased to announce they are the following: F17-F18-F19-F20-F21. That's right we are in the big leagues now with 5 tables-40 feet of merchandise.
I have also seen a dealer listing and I would recommend bringing not one but 2 pairs of comfy shoes. At 340+ dealers it will be a minimum of a half mile walking alone just to see every dealer and that is not counting artist alley.
Looking forward to seeing everyone.

ATTN: painters/airbrush artists
Posted 6 months agoHey All
I have a 26 inch tall statue that I would love to have painted before Anthrocon, the only problem is I need someone near east PA region ( I'm in Hamburg) as I'm not comfortable shipping something like that (I used to do delivery I know how packages are treated). If you are near here, love a challenging project and want to make some money I have just the job for you.
I know this can be a long shot but you never know if you never ask.
either reply here or send a note for more details.
Thanks everyone

Anthrocon dealer assistants
Posted 7 months agoTo anyone attending Anthrocon: I am looking for 2-4 assistants to help at the Windshear's Wares stand. Bonuses to being an assistant are but not limited to--shorter registration line, early access to dealers room, access to dealers and artists reception ( great way to check out art show and chat with your favorite artists) ability to book a room in dealers block ( which opens Feb. 11 ) and more. responsibilities would be-- helping to set up stand on Thursday 2nd if able and break down on Sunday 6th, helping to man the stand during dealer room hours ( but not constantly, I'd like at least 4 people at all times as I have 5 tables but would like people to rotate so everyone can enjoy convention) and not much else. A very easy job, just needs you to dedicate some time during dealer room hours and be an honest and friendly person who loves to help people, and have a strong back and arms ( lifting required, up to 35lbs a box)
anyone interested please contact me for details

FWA 2025
Posted 9 months agono FWA for me, got my rejection email this morning. I was really hoping to get in as it would have been my first con outside of PA.

Posted 9 months agoTime ticks by. I am not sure how I got here or even why. I do know when I woke up this morning my body definitely let me know I was a year older. My body decided to have fun with me as I stood up " guess what I am? you give up? I'm rice krispies haha " as I distinctly heard snap, crackle, and pop as I fully stood up. Another year another medication. I swear when I die I'm not going to be buried I'm going to be free-based.
Here's hoping everyone has a good day, I am off to do what my doctors say not to, get a bloody steak and a beer.

Monumentally sick
Posted 9 months agoyes, extremely sick which is why I haven't gotten anything done for few days.
****not so happy details, read at your own risk****
my mom and I caught a stomach/upper GI virus earlier in week. I don't remember fancy name ER doctor called it but basically it mimics food poisoning except for 4-5 days. and unlike most virus they do not give antibiotics, we are recommended to drink water and let it flush from system. easy for them to say. best part is it seems it is spreadable so I am going to quarantine for next week to make sure. last night was worst of the nights so far, having to wake every hour to stand up and belch to relieve bloating then running for toilet to have a colon cleanse type movement( all liquid and at this point almost clear) finally at 4am I ran for sink where I began to expel stomach contents. most unnerving part was it wasn't normal like most people get, watery and kinda pinkish but it was grey and it was a paste. It didn't splatter which made clean up easier but it was kinda shocking.
because of this all orders and posting are put on pause for at least 5 more days.
apologies to anyone offended by details in this journal

2nd Ed permanently closed--End of a era
Posted 10 months agoWhile I knew it was coming it is still a shock to see it close forever. Ed Zolna was the original seller of furry stuff since the 1980's and he is leaving big shoes to fill. Ed is a super class act and a heck of a role model, I wish nothing but peace and happiness for him despite circumstances he really deserves it. As if you haven't seen it enough across FA I will say it again, cancer sucks, it's always taking the best.
I'd like to say my webstore can fill the hole left behind but nobody can truly fill the space, I can only endeavor to try.
Tonight I will be raising a glass in honor of Ed Zolna and 2nd Ed.

store updates coming
Posted 11 months agoI am working on a batch of 100 new items to be added to the website. I am no longer posting specific categories but a bunch of all kinds so there is something for everyone. Plus due to suggestions by you the customer I will be adding more male oriented dojins to the inventory.
FWA 2025
Posted 11 months agoWe are going to apply to the dealers den at FWA 2025 in Atlanta,GA. Hopefully we will be picked so more people can have a chance to buy in person. This is the first of the conventions outside of Anthrocon that we are going to try to do. We are going to research others on the east coast and see if we can get into them. If you have a suggestion for a convention please let us know as my knowledge of other conventions is limited.
An update but yet...not?
Posted 11 months agoI wanted to let everyone know I updated my web store with new items including a trove of furoticon cards but 3 minutes after I posted them they sold out. So it is technically an update except most of things I posted sold right out.
Ummm, I guess you could say I am in market for buying Furoticon sets.
more updates to come though
