Germany Trip/Gamescom/EF20 all rolled into on Journal
Posted 11 years agoMan, where do I begin. I'm back in Melbourne, Australia. If you don't follow on any social media, if you do then you know. Germany, Gamescon, EF20 it hard to start and finish. I guess I don't want to bore everyone here with a long journal, so I just put some key points for each.
Germany Arrival
* Thank you
Lucky-Tiger for picking me up, showing me around Recklinghausen, and helping get a SIM card, appreciate that alot Lucky.
* meeting Lucky room mate
Arcothewolf and hanging out with them
* Going to Movie Park with Arco,
Keenora and 
Neo, Got some nice photos, and I did one ride. *I'm not much a roller coaster guy personally, sorry guys*
Only negative I have from getting to Germany was my flight got cancelled and had fly to Sydney, before I got going to Germany, luckily didn't miss any connecting flight, well the one in Helsinki I almost did, but got there before the closed the door. *phew*
Gamescon
* Went with Arco,
Codydawg, Keenora, Neo and 
hawaiiwolf and man, IT WAS EPIC. hard to explain but just WOW, so much to see and look at and play with hehe. Thank you to Hawaii Wolf for being really friendly with me, again only NON German speaking person, and Thank you for all the photos. ^^
* I bought a Build-it-yourself Pokemon. MEGA Lucario, and it looks great, A Gamescon shirt *thank you Cody for getting me that again* and lanyard.
* Running into
Shivon, 
Icelyon and 2 other furs I forgot there name *sorry :'(*
* Suited for almost good 4 to 5 hours, and ran into other fursuiters there. Got good feedback and both me an Keenora got pulled into dance around a DJ that was awesome
~Some Negatives
* Didn't get to do alot of shopping, but again first time and got really what I wanted so wasn't so bad.
* Parking was terrible, having to park so far from the event and the lines, MY GOD!!!
Eurofurence 20
* Driving there with Lucky, Arco, Neo and
Morkai and got there on early arrival.
* Room with
Marcan, thanks again was great time room with you.
* NEW HOTEL!!!! and wow this was amazing, food store in the hotel and every day of the con, FREE BREAKFAST!!! OMG
* great location so close for shopping and good spots for fursuit photo shoot
* Meeting up with old friends and meeting and making new ones, and you all know who you are was great to meet and hang out with you all. ^_^
* Entered the Dance Comp, I didn't place but I had fun and was getting alot of feedback from alot of furs saying I did a great job *blushes* thank you
* Got in the MixedCandy and Lacy & Nick's Fursuiting photo shoot, both we in great spots of the con.
* had alot of fun, and tried to catch up with everyone I could catch up with.
After EF, Germany
* Thank you to Arco for taking me places and showing me around. I appreciate what you did, I might not have said it but I did offer food, and fuel for all your effort.
* Catching up with
TayDaThunder & 
Shad0w for just hanging out, and ICE CREAM!!! hehe
* Went to a night Fair with Arco and Neo, that was fun and different
* Went to a fun Fair with Arco and Keenora, who both suited and I got some really nice photos.
* Did a charity event with Arco, Keenora and
Werefox, Thanks to Morkai for taking photos and getting us some drinks
* We all got little duckies to keep as a thank you for coming.
And again negative from coming back was almost everywhere I was, Dusseldorf, Helsinki and Singapore I was getting delay, after delay. It a curse I know it. Lucky didn't miss connection, and would of love to have done more shopping in Singapore airport but 4 hours was enough for door and looking around.
Overall I had a great time, I'm missing all my friends from EF and Germany, I got alot of good memories *tho not much to show on my camera, hehe* and want to thank everyone for well everything you did, say, gave, and showed for my holiday. Was back at work today, and really didn't miss much.
What next you say, well atm nothing. No cons or meets, just going to start saving again, and maybe see if I can hit up either FWA, Confuzzled, EF or MFF next year or maybe hit up 2 of them, but time will tell. And more planning alot of things didn't go as plan this time for me in Germany so much make sure to fix that next time.

A friend is selling his suit

wildwolf is trying to sell one of his suit. Rakket Raccoon, he has taken care of it for a long time. It was the first fursuit I meet at FC07, so it hold alot of good memory and I know Wildwolf has had alot of good times in the suit. So if your after a nice cheap fursuit, this is the best time for one.

thelionkingscarr and Coutzy were caught on TV at the cricket match, Australia vs West Indies.
They got nominated for best dressed at the match! So go to the link and install the app, if you have facebook, then go to the gallery for round 10 and search for Scarr Finnson to find them and vote them as best dressed! The winner takes home $1000 and you'll be in the draw to win $500 just for voting!

Posted 13 years agoI guess I should do this now, or I'll forget. I can't put into words all the good, bad, and wonderful things that happen, and all the great memories I'm got from it, so I'll just sum up what I remember.
GOOD:
~ Having the pleasure to meet and chat with
dreamsong and her wonderful partner

~ Getting to spend time with my roommate:-

~ MiDfur raising over $13,000 AUD in the charity auction to help out the ADF or Australian Dingo Foundation
~ Entering the Fursuit Fracas Dance Comp and finishing 2nd, I'm super proud of that, cause I was so nervous
~ Attending the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Dance party nights, and dancing with my husky, and Dreamsong or and Quinn/YellowFox.... and oh yeah JENNER.... yes Quinn getting Jenner to come out and dance then pushing him on stage and dancing more, I'll never forget that.
~ All the hotel staff working there ass off to make sure ran on time, and things were all ready for panels, So thank you staff.
~ Seeing
Moskintia and Dreamsong clawing at the windows and floor on the Skydeck and the Edge and having about 4 hour talk about con, furs and life.
~ and I can't think of more if I do, you'll know
BAD:
Where to start
~ first off my bloody room key, I and my other room mates must have gone through what 3 or 4 cards just so we can get in the lifts and into are room, grr
~ hearing drama about friends fighting over thing, I always on the fence to issues, but it sad to see these things happen
~ My husky getting punched in the ribs on way back to the hotel from fursuit walk, I dunno full story but that not right.
~ Me getting heat stroke, went from fursuit dance final, straight into a fursuit walk, I was so dead by the end of the walk, I swear and just flopped on the floor in the headless lounge. *note to self, DRINK MORE WATER*
~ hearing the someone tried to touch Dreamsong inappropriately while she was dancing, like come on her partner could break ur back and ur face in one move. *sighs*
~ and finally, me losing my leg padding for Stryker, I have look high and low and couldn't find them, it stressing me out to the point where I can't afford new ones. I hoping someone has either found them or taken by mistake, and I would really appreciate if any that may have them please return them, you will make be feel so much better.
Other then that the Con was amazing, great to catch up with OLD and new furs. The MiDfur staff has done amazing work to have keep this going and just making sure things were ready for each panel.
All I can say, the in the 5 years MiDfur has been a con, it has been amazing. The furs, the guest of honors, panels and just seeing everyone happy, bring this tiger joy to see that Cyn Wolf and MiDfur board have done something amazing. Like Cyn said MiDfur is for the community and not a con, and it nice that they *MiDfur board* want to give it back, to the community so as on 2014 a NewCon will begin, ATM name is yet TBA but whatever it is, I'm sure Cyn and reat of the board members will keep the passion and fire burning for the rest of the cons life.
