Indie A-RPG game progress update...
Posted 13 years agoHey there, I intend to post some more concept art and/or screenshots soon, but in the meantime, I thought I'd give you guys and update on what I've been doing on the actual game engine.
Today I finally succeeded in writing a functional random dungeon creation system. I say finally, because I've been working on that particular aspect for a while, and went through about 4 or 5 different versions, but always ran into some odd glitches I couldn't seem to work out. This programming thing sure can give you a headache, especially when you're dealing with bugs that only show up occasionally, and are thus hard to trace back to their source.
Anyhow, I've done some more testing today, and it seems to run fine now, and does what I wanted it to. Basically the game picks pre-designed rooms, out of a pool of 20-40 or so, and then randomly arranges those to build the dungeon. Then every room is further customized, by randomly spawning monsters, traps, treasure and decorative items. Oh, and the connecting doors between the rooms are randomized as well. There will also be special unique rooms, which only spawn under certain conditions, and contain special challenges, monsters, treasure and unique graphics.
Right now it's all still quite basic, but I'm relieved to have this aspect of the game up and running, since it is very much a core mechanic, which I can now build upon. I will probably work on some basic AI next, and I'm also considering to add some code allowing the player to push smaller decorative objects around. Mostly just to add additional realism and interactivity, but it could also be used for some small puzzles.
Speaking of decorative objects -- do you guys have any suggestions for simple objects which could be lying/standing around in this type of setting? So far I only have some basic wooden crates and barrels, and I'll probably add some ceramic pots/ vases next.
:: :: ::
In other news, I've thought some more about the magic system and decided on the classes/categories I'm going to include. There will be:
Pyromancy: Mostly straight forward damage spells and some DoT ( already started work on some spells )
Frost magic: Less damage, but more utility skills, such as freezing and blocking abilities.
Nature: A bit of a jack of all trades, with some damaging spells ( lightning, poison ), as well as utility spells ( entangling vines; perhaps some animal summons? ).
Exorcism: Spells mostly focused on dealing extra damage to undead and dark creatures, as well as some healing spells.
Necromancy: Direct and indirect damaging spells/ curses, and summons, with an overall dark theme.
Illusion: Mostly an utility class, with spells focused on avoiding or manipulating enemies, disarming traps etc.
There will be one starting character class for each spell category, as well as some that use two or three, or have other special starting bonuses.
Starting class ideas/ names so far include Pyromancer, Frost Mage, Elementalist, Druid, Priest/Monk, Death Lord, Trickster, Scholar ( starts with a knowledge bonus to all magic categories, but no actual spells or bonus starting gear ), Vagabond ( starts with... nothing -- the hardcore choice ;P ).
That said, let me know if you have further ideas for spells within these categories, or alternate class ideas/ naming suggestions.
That's all I can think of for now... Thanks again, to everyone who made suggestions on the last journal. Some of the spell ideas were too complex or did not quite fit in with the direction of the game, but there were some really good ones, and I appreciate all the input.
Here's a link, in case you missed the last journal, and have no idea what this is about: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/3676886/

So, about that Dungeon Crawler game project...
Posted 13 years agoFirst of all, thanks for the positive response to those little preview shots I posted. Didn't get around to respond to all the comments yet, but I'll try and do so later. Besides, this journal should help clear up most questions you guys had.
So what is it? A built-from-scratch 2D Dungeon Crawler/ Action-RPG for PC/Windows. Well, or at least that's the plan -- right now it is still in early stages of development, but I got most things figured out and/or already in progress.
I have some former experience with little game projects in the past, so this isn't my first, however, I haven't really done anything like this in years. I guess it was all that hype surrounding Diablo III, and the general increase in popularity for Action-RPGs, which got me interested in the genre again. I'm a pretty big fan of that sort of game, in particular the old-fashioned 2D type. So, I don't know... at some point I just randomly decided, "Hey, I'll make my own!"
So what exactly is the game going to be like? Some of my main inspirations for this project include the Zelda series, Diablo and the Demon's Souls/ Dark Souls games. So basically, picture a pimped up Zelda 1, with randomized dungeons, filled with monsters/ traps which will completely rape your ass. ( ... Not literally. Pervs. ) At this time I'm working on this on my own, so of course I won't be able to reach the same amount of content and overall quality as those aforementioned games -- Still that description is pretty close to what I'm going for in the end.
Combat will mostly be centred around magic spells. Ideally I want to add a few dozen or so different spells and special skills, all of which the player will have to discover throughout the dungeon, in the form of spell scrolls dropped by monsters or contained within treasure chests.
Oh yeah, if you bothered to read this far -- It might be of interest that the game will also be free. So anyone interested should be able to try it, sooner or later.
The current goal is to finish the first dungeon level, with several monster types, ~20 spells and a boss at the end. Once I have that, I'll most likely turn it into a demo or "minimalist" version and share it. Since the monster, trap and treasure placement, and the dungeon itself will be randomized, that should be enough to keep people playing for a few hours at least. Especially since I also intent to add multiple difficulty settings, somewhere between "Challenging" and "&§$%&$%...!!1"
Oh, speaking of the magic system: Since it is my goal to include many different and fun spells, I could still use some suggestions for magic categories as well as specific spells. Please describe what it would do, along with a possible name for the spell. I've already started work on "Pyromancy" spells, and I'll most likely have "Frost" spells, as well. Just added the basics for a "Meteor" spell tonight. Wheee!
That's it for now -- I'll post again soon, with any additional info and/or progress updates on the game!

SOMETHING HIGHLY IMPORTANT
Posted 14 years ago... you know how most food packages have serial numbers and whatnot printed on them?
Well, I had this salad for dinner, and on the package it said, in big, bold numbers: "1337"

About that Rapture thing...
Posted 14 years ago... so, basically all the chosen ones are going to begin a new life, in an artificial utopia under the sea? That's pretty cool.
Also, apparently, when it's all over, the rest of us are going to suffer through the end of the world ™. ( Yeah... that again. )
Guess whose birthday is on the same date as the upcoming apocalypse.
...
Surely that's just coincidence, though.

The epic quest for the tablet PC - Epilogue
Posted 14 years agoFirst of all, thanks again to everyone who made some suggestions, back when I asked about tablet PCs, a while back. I checked out the various recommendations, then literally spent weeks doing some more digging around on my own, until I finally decided on what I should get.
In retrospect, I gotta say I'm a bit puzzled about all the nay-saying regarding tablet PCs as art devices. I can see how most of them might not be suitable as primary digital art device, for elaborate high-res work - But if all you need is a portable digital sketchbook, for quick drawings or colour studies, then there's actually many suitable options to pick from. Among others, Motion Computing, HP and Toshiba all have several devices on the market, that would be worth considering for an artist.
I eventually settled on a Toshiba Portege M400, myself, after much time spent comparing prices and product specs. Had it for a few weeks now, but I wanted to make sure to test it thoroughly, before I share my experiences so far. It's a convertible type device, meaning it can be used as a pure tablet PC, or like a regular notebook, so while it's not as light as a true slate tablet, like the ipad, it does come with the advantage of a hardware keyboard, an optical disc-drive, and pretty much all the ports one could wish for. One of the main advantages is the unusually high screen resolution, for a tablet PC, of 1400 by 1050 pixels. That's similar to what I got on my desktop PC screen, and really helps with graphics work, or various other programs with many windows, buttons and such. Performance-wise, of course the technology of the M400 is a few years old, but so far it handles everything fine. I've already done some sketching and painting in ArtRage, while listening to music, and it even seems to do decently at some games. ( No Crysis, obviously, but it's still doing better than I expected. ) Oh, and it does come with a pressure-sensitive stylus, based on Wacom technology, afaik. It's no Intuos, but considering that I wasn't sure if it would have any pressure sensitivity at all, I'm quite happy with how it performs.
On the negative side, while you can theoretically turn the computer 90° in tablet mode, the vertical viewing angle is crap. I suppose it's OK for taking notes, perhaps even rough sketches, but no way could I do paintings like that, and I probably won't use it much at all. However due to the high resolution, it's actually possible to just do everything in "landscape" mode, since the vertical resolution (1050) is as high as the horizontal resolution of some older tablets (1024). Also, there's the parallaxing (sp?) some people mentioned - Some inaccuracies between where your stylus tip meets the screen and the actual cursor positioning. That mostly occurs towards the corners of the screen, though, and due to the high resolution, and relatively large screen size, one can mostly just avoid those altogether while drawing.
Anyhow, that's about all I wanted to say for now - I'm still testing and learning how to use the thing, but so far I'm happy with it. Just wanted to share my experiences, since I figured this is mostly a community of artists, and many of you might be interested in getting some sort of tablet PC device for yourselves.
Last but not least, here's a great site if you want to do some more research on the various brands, products and their features: http://www.tabletpcbuzz.com/forum.php
Has sections for just about all the manufacturers of tablet PCs, and all kinds of info on how to use them and how to overcome most common problems.
And for something completely different - If you like big beasties, busty ladies and rough, painterly work, go and check out
spacehunks gallery. Does some great ( mostly very adult ) stuff, and still seems to be relatively unknown around here, so go give 'em some love. <3
And that's all folks!

Underappreciated Artist(s)
Posted 14 years agoStumbled over this artist's gallery yesterday, while randomly browsing around FA:
choobaine
Among other things, they do some great ( naughty ) werewolves/wolf anthros:
http://www.furaffinity.net/full/4885140/
... as well as some hilarious comics:
http://www.furaffinity.net/full/3895703/
After browsing through their gallery, I thought that much of their work didn't really receive the kind of attention it deserves, so if any of this sounds interesting to you, drop by their account and check out their stuff.
And while we're at it, feel free to suggest any other artists that do great work ( clean and/or adult ), yet don't get as many views and feedback as they should.
Cheers!

Laptop / Tablet PC advice needed...
Posted 14 years agoSo I've been playing around with the thought of getting me a laptop or some similar device for some time now - Basically something that would allow me to work on digital art when- and where-ever I want to, much unlike my oversized brick of a desktop PC.
I'd love something with a pressure-sensitive touch-screen - You know, kind of like the Nintendo DS, just... bigger, and with more processing power.
The ipad looks interesting, but I don't know if it has pressure sensitivity. Plus, for all I know you can't really install software on it, other than purchasing and downloading it from the official online store.
Then there's the Wacom Cintiq, but I'm pretty sure it still has to be hooked up to a computer, like a regular Wacom tablet. In addition to the hefty price tag...
So, do any of you guys know of a better alternative to these... ? Windows based, ideally, so I'd be able to use most of the software I'm already using on my current PC. And if it's reasonably affordable, that would be a plus. But feel free to suggest whatever you know is available ( or will be released sometime soon ). At this point I just want to get a better idea of what the available options are.
Thanks!
( P.S.: On a somewhat related note, my computer went ker-bloo-ey recently. Had to reinstall windows and everything. By now I got it up and running again, but I did lose some files, such as my custom brushes and textures for Painter. :< Will probably just have to set up a bunch of new ones from scratch... which could be good or bad.
To be continued... )

To be continued... )

Coma White
Posted 15 years agoWe would like to inform you, that the artist is currently suffering from a severe case of "Winteritis". This results in reduced online time, potentially delayed replies, and a general decrease in productivity. ( Also, over-exposure to any and everything white, or worse, mentioning of the "s"-word, may cause sudden extreme reactions - Caution is advised. )
We will keep you informed about any developments - Thanks for your attention.
P.S.: Happy holidays everyone.

Some graphics tablet questions...
Posted 15 years agoAs I mentioned in my last journal, I recently got myself an Intuos tablet. Now, the thing does come with a few features my old Graphire didn't have, some of which I've been wondering about. So, if you are using an Intuos or similar graphics tablet, I'd appreciate some input.
First of all, there's the customizable hot-keys. If your tablet has them, do you use them? And if so, how exactly? Personally, since my old GT didn't have them, I'm used to combining keyboard and GT. Is it worth switching to just the GT? Or is there a point to the hot-keys, in addition to already using the regular keyboard?
I've also been a little puzzled about the tilt/ angle feature, or whatever it's called, of the new stylus. How exactly does it work, and how does one get the most use out of it?
If you've got some suggestions on either or both of these, please let me know - Thanks!

... I can has line-art plz? ( Also, update on GT problems. )
Posted 15 years agoThat's right, I'd like some more lines to throw some purdy colours on. Normally I just look around myself to see if I can find anything, however it's a pain in the rear end to try and find any good line-art that's also freely available to colourists. Even so, I've been a bit hesitant to make a journal about it, because I'm a little afraid of what people might post... XP
Just in case, here are a few guide-lines:
-The drawing has to be of a decent quality. Doesn't have to be perfect, but it shouldn't have any major problems, and be of a good overall quality/style.
(Edit: Since I've been asked - I use the term line-art somewhat loosely, I suppose. It does NOT necessarily have to be a cleaned up ink drawing. I'm willing and able to colour inked stuff, pencil sketches, traditional, digital - Whatever. Heck, feel free to doodle something up with your own blood. ... Eww. :D )
-Content-wise, I'm willing to do anthro or human characters, clean or erotic art. Just please, no excessive fetish stuff.
-Preferably "generic" characters, or fanart of TV/Anime/Book characters, etc. - No personal avatar characters. If you do have a really cool/ unique character, I might do it anyway, but please, no rainbow-coloured, multi-cock fox-taurs. Thanks. :<
( Edit 2: I'm NOT completely unwilling to do personal characters/ avatars. It's really just that a lot of furry characters are... weird. :D If you do have a cool/ interesting character, as I've said, feel free to give it a shot. I might just be interested. )
-Oh, and please no drawings that aren't yours. ( Unless it's a commission/ gift, and you have permission to re-post or alter it. )
I think that's about it. Not promising that I'll colour every line that's suggested - I'll probably just do 2 or 3 or so. But if you have something that's of decent quality, and you think the content might interest me, please give it a shot. Ideally, just post a comment with the link to your line-art.
( Edit 3: I forgot to mention, this isn't a matter of first come, first serve - Even if you're late and there's already a bunch of suggestions/ posts, I might still colour your lines if I really like them. )
---
And with that out of the way, I just unpacked and installed a brand new Wacom Intuos 4... It's so shiny and sexy and I want to do naughty things to it. :OOO
( Thanks to everyone offering suggestions on how to fix my old Graphire. I tried most of it, including a driver update, but in the end I couldn't get rid of the problems I had wit hit. )
Anyhow, thanks for your attention. If you'll excuse me - I shall now return to drooling all over my new hardware. :B~

Hardware woes... (halp?)
Posted 15 years agoSeems like my good old Wacom Graphire (2... 3?) is finally dying on me. There's something screwy going on about it's pressure sensitivity. ( One of the reasons why that last painting isn't as refined in places as I would have liked. ) It seems to work fine for a while, but after about 30-60 minutes of painting the pressure sensitivity gradually decreases, until I have to press down very firmly for every brush-stroke/line. Seems to be a problem with the hardware, but I'm not sure. Did anyone here encounter this problem before, and is there some solution? ( Aside from buying a new tablet, which I may just have to do. :< ) Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Trick or Treat...
Posted 16 years agoOK, so I'm in a Halloween mood. Hence, I hereby declare October to be Horror month. Which, aside from watching classic horror flicks and listening to the Misfits all day, means I intend to do Horror/ Halloween themed paintings until the 31st. Speedpaintings and quick stuff, ideally, so I can do more of 'em. Will see how that goes. Got a few ideas already, as well as several unfinished paintings I'd like to complete finally.
And for something completely different - I got a new computer recently. Nothing high-end, but significantly faster than my last machine, which among other things means Painter runs more smoothly, allowing me to work at higher resolutions, if necessary, and generally a little faster and more efficiently. I might even give 3D modeling another shot, somewhere down the line. And then, apparently there's this thing called "computer games". I hear they're all pretty and smooth and high-res nowadays. But we're not interested in that, are we? No sir, 'course not. :P

Posted 17 years agoMerry Christmas! ... Wait.
Happy New Year! ... Chinese New Year... ? No?
Oh, never mind. Hai everyone! How y'all doing? So far 2009 has been a mixed bag for me, art-wise. Been lacking the inspiration and creative energy to start ( or complete ) any original paintings, so I've mostly been colouring line-art by others. At least until recently - Been looking at a lot of speed-paintings and concept art, in particular some stuff done for the Diablo game series, and now I'm itching to do more speed-painting myself. It's kinda hard, because I still lack experience and confidence at this particular approach to art. It feels much more natural, though, and is plain more fun to do. With my regular way of creating artwork, I waste so much time doing line-work and masking etc., and it seems very redundant and inefficient. For a speed-paint, I just set up an empty "canvas" and go wild. Anyhow, I'll see what I can come up with... Content-wise, it will probably be mostly Fantasy themed, including the occasional mythical beast and the like... ( So fret not - You shall have your share of fur, scales, or whatever - If you're not into 'em hyoomenz. )
In other news, y!gallery apparently allows Furry themed art again.
And no one really cares. lulz.

Hmm, maybe~ If you do some 1337 line-work and have content that interests me... ( If it's of your Sonic fan-character, riding through space, on a rainbow-pooping unicorn, I am probably not interested. Probably.)

Posted 17 years ago... why, hai thar, FA!
I'm sorry I "disappeared" yet again. I had some trouble with my connection/ web provider, and thus didn't have web access for a while. And by the time things were up and running again, FA went kablooey - How's that for timing? :(
Didn't work much on furry stuff during FA's downtime, since most of it is exclusively for FA anyway. But I've got a few unfinished furry WIPs, that I'll resume work on, now that the site is back up. Already posted one pic earlier, and there's at least one more I'd like to complete. Got a few non-anthro pics as well, that I might cross-post here later.
And now, to catch up on messages.
... That might take a while. :(

So, is it dead.. ?
Posted 17 years agoWell, no. It's been undead for some time now. Mwuahhaha~ D:
... ahem. Actually, I just meant to say "hello" and apologize for my lack of activity around the interwebz. Haven't been able to complete much artwork lately, and generally haven't been very active online. So I'm trying to get back in the swing of things, catch up on messages and such.
On the bright side, I've been able to fix the problems I had with my computer. I got myself an old GeForce card a while ago, and once I had the card and drivers installed, I was able to set the monitor back to its maximum/ native resolution. I figure it must have been either the old GPU and/ or its drivers, that caused the problem. Anyhow, the display seems to be working fine now. Thanks again, to everyone that posted back on the original journal!
I've also (re-)discovered 3D art/ digital modeling for myself lately. I don't have much experience, so it might be a while before I can produce anything decent, but it's an interesting media, that I'd like to explore more. ( Though of course, I'll still be doing 2D painting, as well. )
Anyhow, that's all for now...

Hoh-hoh... hoh?
Posted 18 years agoHey there! - Sorry about the lack of new art from my direction ( not counting those two most recent submissions ) - I seem to have a bad habit of starting elaborate and challenging paintings, and then losing motivation halfway through... As a result I've got many WIPs, in various stages of completion, but nothing finished to post here. ):
I also finally resumed work on my comic project, so for the time being ( at least until end of this year/ early next year ), anything else is on the backburner. I'll probably do some sketches and quick paintings/ colour-jobs, anyway, because I'm easily distracted like that...
That said, I wish pleasant holidays to everyone - Take care and have a good time! See you around in 2008... :)

Just a quick update...
Posted 18 years ago... Partly as a reminder for myself, partly to let trade/ collab partners etc. know that I haven't forgotten about them, as well as for anyone else who might be curious what I'm up to, art-wise.
Currently in Progress:
Untitled Dark Fantasy painting; about 75% completed. My current priority, and I'll try and get it done soon.
To be done/ future works:
Art-Trade with
piumartiglio; Sketch (re)done, currently on hold.
Gift-Art for
Tora
Gift-Art/ "Headshot" for
thewhitedragon
And that should be all, unless I forgot about anything... ( In which case, I'd gladly accept a friendly reminder. :) )
I know some of these are long overdue, but I'll get it all done, eventually.
Other than these, I also have other plans, such as more "Circles" fanart, and eventually more collaborations, at least given enough free time and the right inspiration.
While I'm at it I'd like to express my gratitude once more, for all the feedback and compliments, from recent watchers as well as "long-time supporters". Glad you folks enjoy my work! :)
And that's all for now...

Check-Raise-Fold?
Posted 18 years agoHi there! Sorry about my recent lack of activity around these parts. Been kind of unproductive for a while, art-wise, but I'm getting back into it. My monitor is still performing sub-optimal, but at least it still works, for what that's worth. ( Thanks again, to everyone who offered advice, in response to my previous journal posts! ) On the bright side, I now have my very own copy of the full version of Painter IX. So, for the time being I have all the GFX software I need, and can once again create full colour artwork. I already posted something new earlier, and I've got two more paintings in progress; both featuring "furry" content, at that.
And for something completely different - As of recently I seem to be developing an obsession with Online Poker. And not only because it's the current "hip" thing to do, either - It's actually quite entertaining. Especially when you're winning. ;3
Well, that's all for now - I'll try and catch up on messages/ comments etc., later...

Update on artsy things and computer troubles...
Posted 18 years agoFirst of all, thanks to everyone who replied to my last journal, and offered help!
I'll try to sum things up, for those that missed the last post: A while ago I replaced my old CRT screen with an LCD. It worked just fine, for several months, but then recently, as I started up the computer as usual, the resolution setting was off and no matter what tried, I couldn't restore it's native resolution ( 1440x900 pixels ).
So, in essence: The native resolution of 1440x900 is no longer listed.
What I already tried:
-checked all of Windows' graphic related settings
-un-installed, updated and re-installed the graphics drivers
( including the use of driver removal software )
-tried Windows' system restore
-installed software to enforce specific resolutions/ refresh rates
... most of these anywhere between two or half a dozen times, but, so far, all to no avail.
What I figured out so far:
The screen itself doesn't seem to be the problem. I'm using it on 1280x768 pixels/ 32bit right now, and it's working fine. Screen drivers aren't the problem, either, since it never came with special drivers - And, as I mentioned, it worked fine until now.
Something could be wrong with the graphics hardware, but it doesn't seem likely to me, either. What seems most likely, is that Windows is somehow causing the problem. I might eventually have to re-install it, and hope for the best. ( I do more or less frequent back-ups, so it should be OK. )
I think for the time being I'll just stick with this resolution. I can't fit quite as much on screen at once, which sucks for any kind of graphics work, but other than that the output quality is decent enough.
Of course I'm still open for alternate opinions and potential solutions. ( Is it possible to manually set the resolution, using the registry, perhaps? ) In any case, thanks again!
Fun fact: When this all started, I thought, "Hey, maybe I could just switch back to the CRT screen for a while, since it doesn't require any special resolutions..." Unplugged the LCD, plugged in the old screen, turned it on...
No five minutes later the LCD was back in place. Yes, the first few days of using an LCD felt awkward, but trust me, not nearly as awkward as switching back to CRT, once you're used to LCD screens. XD
Anyhow, this whole issue kept me busy during the last few days, and also killed most of my motivation to work on art. Today I was finally able to get back into it and already posted one new drawing to my "Scraps". Since I'm also encountering a little software problem ( I've been using the trial version of Painter IX.5 until now, but eventually it timed out. I decided that I liked it enough to buy it and already ordered it, but it will probably take a week or so, before it will arrive here. ) it looks like I will be doing mainly sketches/ line-art for a while. Not like that's necessarily a bad thing, I could use the practice anyway.
So, as I'll be doing a lot of sketches ( well, I'll try ) let me know if there are any characters or themes you would like to see. Just general ideas and popular characters, mind you - This isn't an offer for free sketch commissions, exactly. XD So yeah, feel free to throw some ideas my way. No promises, but I might give it a shot, if I like it.
Anyhow, that was that. Thanks for reading!

In need of some computer help...
Posted 18 years agoHere's what happened: When I started up my computer yesterday, the settings for my screen's resolution and refresh rate were off. Then, when I checked the display settings, I noticed the screen's ( ASUS VW192 G ) native resolution ( 1440 by 900 pixels ) was no longer available - It did, however, provide me with some funky new resolution choices, that weren't available before. Now, using the screen at anything but its ideal, native resolution, results in fairly poor output, so naturally I'd like to restore it's former resolution and performance as quickly as possible.
I already tried re-installing the graphics drivers ( about half a dozen times ), but to no avail. Couldn't find anything helpful on-line, either, and I'm running out of ideas. I'd really appreciate if some of you could offer any potential solutions to the problem.
So far I figured out that the screen itself seems to be fine. I'm currently using it at a lower resolution ( 1280 by 720 ) and I don't notice any problems. ( The output isn't blurry or de-formed, either, so at least it seems to be the same ratio as 1440 by 900. Edit: Not badly de-formed, anyway. XD ) All things considered, I'm pretty certain it's a software problem, but I'm not sure what else I could try to fix it.
Anyhow, thanks in advance for any help on this issue!

Edit: I think I should add that I've been using this screen for a few months now, at its native resolution of 1440x900, and without any difficulties. So I know the screen, as well as my computer, can handle that resolution.
P.S.: News from the art front and some actual content to follow later, hopefully, once I have this figured out. :3

New toys...

I recently updated/ replaced some of my computer equipment and software. Various minor and major things, most importantly a new LCD wide-screen. And I switched from Painter Classic to Painter IX. In the long run this should no doubt help the quality of my work - For a while I'm likely to produce junk, though, as I adjust to the new equipment. :P I'll probably do some more practice pics, like my recent submissions, before I resume work on more elaborate paintings. I'd like to finally complete that SH3 fan-art, in particular. As always, I appreciate any feedback on my work, so I know whether it's going the right direction.
While I'm at it, I'd also like to "poke" my various collaboration and trade partners, since I haven't heard from most of them in a while. So, if you're alive and haven't lost interest, you might want to send me a mail or something. :P
And that, as they say, was that.
