Long Time, No Post
Posted 3 years agoWell, another year has started up. This past year has probably been some of the craziest for my life. A big move I never thought I would do in order to follow relationship goals, a change in careers that are outside what I was used to, health flubs that have been keeping me on my toes, and learning how to properly live with loved ones rather than my old set up of being to myself a lot. Hopefully, this new year will bring some matters better into my life. I have a couple of things like random mobile apps and a new journal that will hopefully help me progress in myself. I also hope to welcome this new year in with some art I plan to attempt at. Granted, at the start, it might just be some random inkings and colorings from others' free to use art sketches or something. Hopefully, though, I'll get decent enough to start doing my own sketches and properly bring myself out. And I hope I can use this new year to clear myself of various worries I've kept throughout the year. For now, here's hoping I get a good start to the new year and make 2023 a marvelous year.

Pokemon Sun and Moon
Posted 9 years agoWell, a second trailer has officially been revealed. And with it, I realized I forgot to throw my two cents on the first trailer's reveals. So I'm going to go ahead and toss my opinion out on that one first, then add on to this my thoughts on the second trailer.
Starters
Well, with every generation we get ourselves our new Starters. In this case we get Owlett, Litten, and Popplio. From what I've seen, everyone is in major hype over Owlett and Litten, and giving big hate on Popplio. I actually feel sad for it and would surely pick this one. Meanwhile, I would go against the popular opinion and honestly say GTFO to Owlett. Seriously, I'm not a big fan of Soccer Ball Pokemon. Honestly, since I know I will be getting both versions, I will probably have Litten on one, and Popplio on the other. The big question will be figuring out which version will be my main, and which starter my Main will get.
The Alola Region
Obviously a huge hint to Hawaii (with the region name being one letter from Aloha), though with only one island shown, I'm worried about how this game will go (I do understand the second trailer revealed more islands, but I'm basing this off what was shown in the first round of trailers). Its nice to see a lot of tropical themes and I am curious on just how this will set up for the new Pokemon that are revealed. Don't forget, that the Pokemon 20th Anniversary videos showed a wire-frame for a new regional (more than likely) bird Pokemon.
Cover Pokemon
Ah, our BoxArt Pokemon. Should be interesting to see how these two go. I predict Dark/Flying or Dark/Psychic for the Moon, and at least part Fire-type for the Sun starter (again, I know this was revealed already in the second trailer). I know the names weren't revealed in these trailers. However, let's not forget that a month before this trailer, the trademarks for Solgaleo and Lunalaa were revealed. I predict these are the names for those Pokemon and will be calling them as such until something says otherwise.
Anyway, that is about all that was present in the first trailer, other than hints of various aspects such as Trainer Customization might being a thing again. So its time to move on to the recent reveals we just had yesterday.
Solgaleo and Lunala
As I said, I figured these Pokemon were be the names, as they were already Trademarked. However, I was a bit off on the type predictions. I'm a little upset as to how Solgaleo isn't even part Fire-type at all. Honestly, its whole aspect screams Fire, not Steel and Psychic. Same thing with Lunala being Psychic/Ghost. Everything appears to show Lunala being a Dark type in some form, or even a Flying type. So I'm not too huge on their typings. Their abilities also seem to be nothing more than Signature Copycat abilities, like how TurboBlaze and TerroVolt were for Reshiram and Zekrom, which copied Mold Breaker. Solgaleo's ability, Full Metal Body, seems to copy Clear Body, and prevents Stat Drops from the opponent. Meanwhile Lunala's abilities, Shadow Shield, appears to be nothing more than a copy of Multiscale, and reduces damage taken while at Max HP. Their moves Sunsteel Strike and Moongeist Beam don't have much info revealed. However, it is potential that these moves could take a page from Flying Press and be labeled as Steel and Ghost attacks, but do damage as if they are Fire and Dark attacks as well. But only time will tell.
Rotom Pokedex
Wait a minute? Your Pokedex IS a Rotom? I don't know how I feel about this. I mean, clearly it won't be an actual part of your team, otherwise that would be a complete restriction on your party (which can only have 6 Pokemon). I am glad that they are taking full use of Rotom's ability to possess electronical devices, as been discussed. And the huge joy that it actually does talk to you as well is pretty cool as well. This will be the first big instance of Pokemon being able to talk to you. From what I was reading, apparently, the Rotom Pokedex is actually rare, only given to very few trainers, (Obviously because it does require a Rotom in it). My wonder now is what do regular trainers get in its place (as I'm sure, in the Anime, Ash won't have a Rotom Pokedex). I love how it is like an in-game guide. And with the QR Code, I'm curious on how its going to apply towards Pokedex completion. On a side note, while nothing else is revealed about it, there are apparently going to be two Pokedexes. the Alola Pokedex and the MeleMele Pokedex.
New NPCs
Kukui, Lillie, and Hau. I'm going to be frank with these. I love the name for our Regional Professor. It seems like a silly name to me. Though I feel like his "mysterious assistant" Lillie is going to be strange. I just feel like, as an assistant to a Professor in the Alola region, you shouldn't dress that fancy. As for Hau, he looks to be a laid back kinda guy. So long as he isn't another Barry, I'm happy.

Alright, at least now I'm certain there are more than one island. Apparently there are going to be four natural islands, and one man-made island. It is going to be interesting to see how these work. Its probably going to be something like two gyms per Island, with the fifth Island being either the Pokemon League or the base of the Alola Region's evil organization. I am now going to be curious on how transportation between the Islands work. Assuming that you still have the standard HMs concept, its going to be pretty bland if travel between the islands is just going to involve grabbing HM Surf after the second Gym and going on through the islands. To top that off, the way its looking so far, there aren't going to be many actual routes to travel along. I'm really worried that the Alola region is going to be lacking in areas to travel to, so far. Maybe there are some things that will be revealed to help it out. It might be cool if there are a bunch of under water locations to visit as well.
Anyway, that's my opinion on everything revealed so how. Hopefully, the next trailer will reveal something good

Posted 9 years agoSo I decided to put my two cents in on the whole Furry Network ban that's been talked about lately. Before I begin, I will simply state this: I am not in favor of the cub porn ban. I am going to put here the common reasons I see against it, and provide my counter argument of the topics.
Arguments against Cub Porn
-Cub Pornogragraphy makes many users uncomfortable.
Counter Argument
-There are art topics of various degrees that make people uncomfortable. Some people don't like sexual artwork at all. Some don't like rape artwork. Others don't like snuff. One cannot just cater to what everyone doesn't like. It would be the equivalent of going to an art gallery, seeing a picture of "The Creation of Adam" (Michelangelo), and going "I don't like this art. Remove it." I garentee any art gallery owner would look at you and kindly escort you to the door if you don't care for the artwork displayed.
-Cub Pornagraphy is illegal in some parts of the world.
Counter Argument
-Again, there are several things that are illegal in various parts of the world. In some areas, anything related to Christiantiy for instance can be illegal. It is not the responsibility of the site owner to make sure that their site complies to the laws of EVERY location. It is the responsibility of the individual to make sure they're only viewing what is legal of them in their location.
-Cub porn is outright illegal here. (Assuming here is the US)
Counter Argument
-You might need to take a quick moment to do some research. Ever heard of the First Amendment, the one that gives freedom of speech or press? The First Amendment extends to pornography, including porn of various topics such as rape and torture, as of the 1985 American Booksellers Association v. Hudnut case. And as of the Ashcroft vs Free Speech Coalition ruling in 2002, SIMULATED child pornagraphy (i.e. child porn that is not containing any real characters) is also protected. Again, this is all in the US only for examples. However, if you are wanting to complain about how its illegal in your part of the world, see my counter argument about being illegal in some parts of the world.
-Cub porn is immoral.
Counter Argument
-Easiest thing to begin with on this topic is to understand that morality is not defined by you. Sure, actually child pornagraphy is easily immoral. However, what we are talking about here are fictional characters in a pornagraphic situation. When we start talking about fictional characters, the concept of morality isn't as clear cut as one may think.

-Ban cub porn so we can make Furry Network a great site.
Counter Argument
-You do understand that FurAffinity, a site that people have been using to compare to, has been a pretty big site for quite a while. And it had a great following even before the cub porn ban. I watched a lot of what went on during the ban, including watching several artists drop from FurAffinity when the ban started. The big reason it maintains a heavy following right now is because it had a strong following before the ban. However, Furry Network is still a relatively new site, and while I do think that it could gain the potential to get a decent following, banning or allowing cub porn will have nothing to do with it. The only difference will be a small percentage of people would be different between the two circumstances.
In the end, these are just some of the topics I've seen against cub porn. I know there are several more, and am easily willing to add those to this journal if I feel the need to. In the end, this is why I decided to skip over Furry Network and not worry about using it for the time being, effectively deleting my account from there (with their wierd way of needing to make a junk character, delete the original, change the email and password to disposable and junk ones).

Chubby Pokemon?
Posted 9 years agoSo a friend of mine was chatting with me about different Pokemon things, and one thing we ended up talking about would be what Pokemon would really fit our own physical looks. I started thinking about it and actually couldn't pick one. I came up with a few choices and was wondering if anyone had any opinions on their own. Mind you, IRL, I am a chubby kinda guy.
Raichu (Who can deny a Rai? Especially with their natural chub)

Croconaw (Of the Johto Water Starter Line, this one seems to be the chubbiest of them)
Grumpig (Psychic Pig for the Win)

Excadrill (I'm sure he and his prior form have a good bit of chub)

Miitomo?
Posted 9 years agoSo Nintendo now has their own Smartphone app, Miitomo. Its pretty cool for basics. So far, I haven't even noticed any asking for microtransactions, which is cool. Its a good way to kill some time and help learn about yourself and your friends when questions are asked you never think about. I advise checking it out, and adding me. Just make sure you have a Nintendo Account (which is apparently different from your Nintendo Network Account).

Too Many To Watch

I'm going through my list of who I'm watching to try to lower the count of junk that I have on my list that either aren't active or that I only watched because of one piece of art. Colors
Posted 10 years agoSo I was sitting here nomming on a bone idly when I looked at a mirror. I was bored and thought a change of color would be nice. Solid black fur has been a little tiring lately. I figured I should go see a fur-dyer. I'm thinking about adding a bit of purple to me. I want something at least a little different than my usual. I know seeing a dyer will be a pain. I always hated the smell of that special dye, mainly because it has to go in deep to be permanent. Hopefully I won't need to do it again or anything. Anyway, let's hope the dye job looks good. :p

Dating issues?
Posted 10 years agoUgh... I really know know what to feel right now.
To give a basic idea, someone on Facebook has added me as a Friend. I like making friends, either roleplaying friends or just regular friends, so it doesn't bother me to accept unless its someone I know in real life and don't really like even though they think we're on good terms. So, of course I accept. We chat a little and he offers wanting us to be boyfriends. Well, I want to try and he was a little insistent. Mind you, we live across country pretty much (CA compared to MS). I understand wanting to talk. However, I get nervous actually talking to people, and do a lot better with it through texting. He's insisting to want to talk, though. I have actually talked to him once for a few. The only thing is I keep myself busy usually (either at Pokemon events or hanging with friends), and I don't like the idea of talking to someone on the phone when I am hanging with others. And I can't always simply break away to talk to someone on the phone. Now I'm left feeling guilty because he feels like no one cares for him, everyone hates him and such, and making me feel bad for going with my standard routine. I don't even know how to tell him that I had said in the first place that I didn't want a relationship because I don't know how, especially since, I don't! I would definitely have liked a relationship to have been with someone I have at least gotten a chance to talk to, share interests with, etc. I know I'm not in any position to be looking for a relationship however, considering my own position (mediocre job with no transportation of my own or even a driver's license, I spend most of my time sleeping during the day since I work overnight, and spend free time trying to find something to do or lazying around since I can't always hang out with one of my usual friends). I have had thoughts of just blocking his number and blocking him on Facebook, but I don't want to be totally rude. But I feel like if I try telling him, he's going to guilt me through a whole "everyone hates me" type thing.

Posted 10 years agoWell, January is over with. No more "New Year" hype. Things can at least be relaxed for a little while. Or well, as relaxed as can be with Mardi Gras coming up and Valentine's Day as well. Or as I call them, the "What the hell do I do with all these Beads" Day and also "Day before Discount Chocolate Day" (Seriously... does someone who not care about dating look at Valentine's day for anything else other than the day after when all the stupid V-Day candy goes on discount?). So, I guess not much calmness going on. Then again, is there every really any month that doesn't have something going on in some manner or form? I guess I would care more about days like this if I actually had a significant other. But I kinda don't worry about it considering its more or less a bother with my pathetic self. Oh well. Off to plot what candy I shall buy on 2/15. I know I need chocolate and sugary morsels.
Good Few Days

After leaving a hell night at work, I get barely an hour of sleep before getting a message from someone inviting me to go to a Pokemon TCG tournament. Without any real time to think, I say yup and away I go with practically no time to really prep my deck. Talk about a fun time. Then I get to spend two nights with friends. Granted I will go home and probably deal with the drama from the family for abruptly leaving... oh well. Better to seek forgiveness than ask permission. Soon though I go back to the boring mundanes...
Emotions and Why I Need a Box to store them...
Posted 11 years agoWelp... Remind me to find a box and stuff my emotions in them. I can't stand showing emotions, mainly because I am not good at keeping them in check and end up letting them go too far. I've had bad incidents in the past where I let my emotions run rampant, and ended up quitting my job just because of a sour mood. So I usually try to keep my emotions hidden, at least just with a happy face. And instead, I allowed myself to break down. Usually, I try to do this in my room, or somewhere where no one can see... instead I had someone next to me see me break down. Even though he said it was okay, I still hate showing emotions. Why can't I just be an Emotion Lord and spread five-hundred chocolate puppies around instead? Or just have inter-dimensional teleportation powers and go to a different realm and shift my sadness into anger as I crush enemy demons? Why must the mudane world treat me so cruel?!?!? Relationships and Why I Can't
Posted 11 years agoFair warning, this is just a rant I am posting to try to sort my thoughts out and hopefully get just a little insight from anyone who watches my Journals (I know I rarely read any of the journals I get on my list anymore since I never have time).
So, I watch on Facebook a lot, or just look around me. Here's a relationship. There's a relationship. Relationships all around me. Usually I don't let it bother me. But, every once in a while, it clicks in my head about them and gets to me some.
The unfortunate thing for me is that I have relatively left myself with no way to be in a relationship. I have no real experience with being in a relationship. So, I would hate to have someone waste their time on someone who doesn't know anything. At the same time, I wouldn't want to be with someone with the same lack of experience I do because I would feel bad for not having the experience to help lead the relationship when needed. This may seem a bit stupid, but I don't like troubling others. And since I don't know any better when it comes to matters of relationships, I would feel like all I am is a burden to someone who would want to have a relationship. I am not really that good when it comes to showing care. If someone has a problem, I feel bad and inadequet for being unable to comfort them because I don't even know what I could start to say to help them feel better. At the same time, I don't want to trouble anyone with my own problems and wouldn't be able to open up to someone with my problems as I don't want them to waste their time on me. I feel inadequet as I don't know much of anything about being intimate either. I would feel bad for being unable to take the lead and feel bad having to have someone lead me. In the end, the big problem for me is basically that I feel too inadequet for my lack of experience and don't want to trouble someone because of it, but also feel bad if someone does waste their time on me because of my inexperience.
Well, that was my basic rant journal for the evening. Figured I would post it just to calm my mind and everything. Hope everyone is good.

Temporary No Internet
Posted 12 years agoUgh... I hate not having internet at the house. I won't have internet until maybe Tuesday. Until then I have to go to either Barnes and Nobles or McDonalds for internet, or use my phone. And do you know how hard it is to look up porn at a public place?

Hard times ahead
Posted 12 years agoAlright... Since I stay with my folks, making my share of bills and such, things are going to be very hard for me now. My mom has made a.... stupid move, that cost her her job. So now, things are going to be very hard as I feel I need to figure out the best way to balance several things and help my family balance financial issues (even though mine isn't the best either). So, hopefully I will be able to get things straight soon enough.
