Working on Unposted Backlog - Possible Future Comms
Posted 4 months agoAs you've probably noticed, I am currently working on uploading a backlog of unposted pieces I've commissioned - mostly over the past two years but also a few other pieces that slipped through the cracks that are older. Pieces I upload aren't necessarily by chronological order or indeed any pattern at all, but I have a habit of going by character/theme but I will try to vary things here and there. It will take me a little while to get through everything as I won't be doing it all at once. Sorry it has taken me so long to finally put my shit together and do this.
In other news, I'm still unemployed and I'm dreading the idea of applying for another office job after I got stabbed in the back by my previous employer. I'm seriously considering trying to make a living doing work in the fandom, and I may begin with some commissions. Obviously I will need to do some solo work and get to a spot where I am comfortable before I do this. I know I can color well, but I need to work on my sketching and fundamentals. I also would love to eventually work on game design making furry games. We shall see!
In the meantime, enjoy the posts!

FWA! Uploads When I Get Back!
Posted 4 months agoHi friends!
I'm heading out to FWA today! Hope to see some of you there! <3
Also, my sincere apologies to my watchers. I have a sizeable backlog of images since I haven't posted anything in... well over a year at this point ๐ I keep meaning to upload them and I just procrastinate. But I will be moving on new stuff when I get back from FWA and this is a promise that I will begin uploading again, even if it's just a little bit at a time.

Policy 2.7
Posted 10 months agoWord on the grapevine is that FA is taking a stricter approach to NSFW pieces that may be interpreted as containing underage or age regression in any way, including anything that vaguely looks underage. Out of abundance of caution, I have decided to remove a few pieces from my gallery that, although *I* personally don't feel are problematic, are ones that I recognize may get flagged. Namely, I have removed pieces containing Colton, my femboy Galarian Ponyta. He is intended to be of adult age, but the running gag with him is that he is a femboy Ponyta and thus is easily sissified and given ABDL treatment by Ladia, the Galarian Rapidash he rooms with (hence the name 'Colt'on).
I also removed a couple pieces of Pony Tsunotori. Although intended to depict her as 18, she is a high school student and thus could be interpreted as underage.
While again I personally don't think these pieces were problematic, I will respect FA's rules and err on the side of caution.
I am considering uploading these pieces elsewhere but I haven't decided yet.

Updates: Backlog Upload Soon, Attending MFF
Posted 11 months agoJust wanted to make an update!
My apologies for not being as active on FA. I've been in a bad headspace since losing my job and I still don't know what I'm going to do. I'm seriously considering learning art and game development and do stuff for the fandom since I love the fandom so much, and I just can't see myself working a 40 hour office job anymore.
Anyway, I have a bit of a backlog of pieces that need uploading. My apologies for falling behind on that again. I will begin uploading them soon, maybe as early as tonight.
I will be attending MFF again this year. Sadly nobody I know got a suite so it looks a suite party isn't happening for us this year. In fact I didn't get a room at all and MOST people I know didn't get a room in the raffle. Thankfully I'm rooming with folks with good contingency plans so it's looking like I will be at the Double Tree this year. Was hoping for a main hotel room again but oh well - MFF is reaching a critical mass of attendees for its venue space I feel like.

Updates - Lost Job, Going to FWA
Posted a year agoHi everyone,
I wanted to give some updates since it has been a good while since I posted anything.
I haven't really had spare money for commissions because my work has only given me 3 months of work in the past 9 or so months. To make matters worse, I was recently contacted and was told that the company I was doing contract work for is restructuring the department I worked at and is permanently terminating all their contract workers, meaning my job is now gone. On the plus side they are at least giving us severance payment, so while money will be tight I'm not in any financial danger or anything for the time being. But this does mean I have a lot of thinking to do to decide what I want to do next with my life. I was doing video game QA, but right now the video game industry is a burning ship so I think it'd be best if I either looked elsewhere or did something independent.
I still have a number of older commissioned I still need to upload, as well as a few inked ones I still need to color. I will try to get to that soon.
In other news, I am going to FWA in May! I've got some BIG plans for my suiting there, and I cannot wait to show it off!
Wishing everyone a great spring!

Apologies to my Watchers + Going to AC
Posted 2 years agoHi all!
First of all, I'd like to apologize to my watchers. It has been... way, WAY too long since I've last uploaded, and I do have things to upload. I'm going to get started on that and try to do it in chunks rather than all at once.
Second, I have made plans and will be attending AC this year! I look forward to meeting anyone who goes! my Drakkece suit *should* be ready by then, and I am super pumped to go suiting!! Either way I will also have my wusky partial Cupcake to wear too.
Been mostly busy with my job, but my contractual 11 month period will be ending soon so I will also have some time off.
Hope everyone is doing well ^.=.^

Post MFF Report!
Posted 3 years agoHi! I got back from MFF on Tuesday, and to keep things short:
I had a ton of fun and met some awesome people, but wished I could have met more. Next time I will have my full suit and I will definitely be going around meetings tons of folks and giving out hugs!
I did end up buying a partial though of an adorable pastel doggo that I've named Cupcake. I'm super looking forward to building an outfit around her and taking some pictures, and eventually getting a few art pieces of her. She will be a G rated wholesome cutie ๐
Thanks to everyone that helped make my first con an awesome one!

Going to MFF!
Posted 3 years agoHey all, just a quick little update.
I've been meaning to upload my backlog of stuff, so sorry about that! I will try to get to it soon.
And I will be attending MFF this year! Unfortunately my fursuit is not ready yet, but I will be doing my best to have a good time all the same!

Updates! Fursuit Commissioned!
Posted 3 years agoWhoa holy cow where did the year go?!?
So I have a few updates for you all.
FIRST:
I have an art backlog I need to get around to uploading. My apologizes for all my watchers. I'm slacking! >.=.<
I will try to get around to doing this soon.
SECOND:
I am getting into coloring, but it's been kind of on and off. I would like to open for some simple PWYW coloring coms sometime if folks are interested. I might finish some personal stuff I have left before I officially start taking these.
THIRD:
I've commissioned a fursuit! I will be getting a fullbody suit of Drakkece from the amazingly talented https://twitter.com/CheereeBird
I'm even getting a removable chest piece so that I can wear some honkin huge breast forms to go with it - I've ordered a MASSIVE pair of Z cup silicone gel filled tits to go with it! I am amazingly excited for this!
Hope you are all doing well <3

Another Year - Updates
Posted 4 years agoHello everyone!
Time has really flown by for me. I'm another year older today - 31!
I have a small commission backlog to upload again, so I'll try to get on that soon. Going forward I am thinking I am going to wind down getting coms for a little bit to focus on saving money. I will continue to get some coms from a few artists friends that I have built a rapport with.
I am currently in the process of trying to get a fursuit. I have a maker in mind, I just need to be able to get a slot. All the same, if anyone has any recommendations, I am still open to hearing them.
Hopefully I will be going to AC this year - especially if I have the fortune of having a suit ready for it!
I hope everyone is doing well. Happy holidays!

Holy Cow I'm Finally Caught Up!
Posted 4 years agoSorry for the spam! But I finally decided to get all my recent art over the past few months finally uploaded. Sorry I've been dragging my feet on it - I'm back at work full time and I'm busy and tired a lot.
I will have to go over my saved stuff to make sure I got everything (I may have missed a thing or two), but I'm pretty sure I'm all caught up.
I do have a couple other things that I'm still finishing the coloring on before I upload.
By the way, if anyone has any requests for what they'd like to see me commission more feel free to let me know. I don't make any promises, but I do like knowing what people would really like to see more of :)

Uploading a Small Backlog

Birthday! Updates - Commission Hiatus?
Posted 6 years agoI'm 29 now! My 20's are almost over, wow!
So just a little update to my life situation, I had completed my job contract a few weeks ago and I'm on break now. Come the new year I will be able to get a new job contract. I'm thinking next year I'm going to save more money, so as a result I plan to get much fewer art commissions this coming year. So to all my fans, I apologize in advance for the likely art drought. I still have a couple Patreons that I get monthly stuff for, so there won't be nothing - but definitely not as much as last year.
Beyond that, I'm doing well and just taking things pretty easy for now. Maybe I'll look into making some stuff of my own I can share, but we'll see what happens!

FURSUIT: Anyone Know Any Suit Makers Who Can Do Big Boobs?
Posted 6 years agoAlright guys. This is big. I currently have over $3,000 saved up, and I plan to save even more in the coming months. I'm finally going to start looking for a suit maker who can make a full suit of my Drakkece. I will be budgeting around $5k, but I will be willing to go higher.
The thing is, my standards are very high. I'm looking for a top quality suit, and I have a few requirements.
If anyone can point me in the right direction for a suit/prop maker that can fulfill my needs for such a commission, please PLEASE I implore you to let me know. I'm brand new to the fursuit commissioning scene and I already worry my expectations are too high.
Here's what I need in my suit:
REQUIRED
-Fullsuit
-The multicolored hair (pink streaks).
-Ridged underbelly.
-Rainbow LED eyes.
-Very large breasts.
-Very comfortable making a dragon suit.
-Comfortable making a suit of an OC that is extremely NSFW.
STRONG PREFERENCE
-Smooth underbelly and/or whole suit (instead of fabric)
-Bouncy breasts i.e. silicone elements (not just foam)
BIG PLUS, BUT NOT REQUIRED
-Digitigrade legs.
-Blinking/moving eyes.
-Hinged jaw.
-Cooling i.e. fans.
-Nipples on breasts.
-Able to make NSFW elements i.e. strap-on hyper bits, hyper breasts.
-OK working with NSFW references.

Full Time Job - an Tips for Finding a Suit Maker?
Posted 7 years agoYep, got a full time job. Currently working as a contract tester over at Nintendo's debug department!
So with my job I'm going to be doing my best to save money. This also means living frugally, so I'm going to try to scale back on getting art (not that I've been getting much lately). I want to try to save up for getting a Drakkece custom suit, but I know nothing about finding a decent suit maker. I've got time before I have the money to find a maker, but if anyone has any suggestions for a really good custom suit maker and how to get a commission from them would be really helpful. I'm looking for something really high quality - like the higher the better.

Birthday! Updates on Life!
Posted 7 years agoI'm 28 as of today! <3
So a little update on life. I got a job, but unfortunately it's part time on a call-in basis so I don't get many hours a week, but it's a start! I'm not really earning enough to justify spending on art sadly, as I need to save most of what I get. But with some money saved I should be able to go to AC next summer!
I'm taking a bit of a break from WoW but I should be back next month or so. I'm hoping Blizzard announces Vulpera sooner rather than later.
For now I'm playing a bit of Fallout 76 with friends.

Looking for a Guild for Battle for Azeroth [WoW]?
Posted 7 years agoBattle for Azeroth pre-order is now available! The expansion won't launch until September, but in the meantime there are allied races to level and play! I'm currently running a guild on Wyrmrest Accord (Horde size), and I would love to have more people! If you are interested feel free to give me a poke here or in game (Drakky#11355)
World of Warcraft: Dragonraiders [Horde] On Wyrmrest Accord!
Posted 8 years agoHey Guys!
So some other furry friends of mine and I have started a guild in World of Warcraft on the server Wyrmrest Accord (Horde side) that's a sister guild to Dragon Knights, a furry guild in Guild Wars 2. We've love more members so please feel free to join our Discord! We're a casual guild - we hope to raid when we have the members. RP will be allowed but not required (it is an RP server). There's no rush joining - a new leveling patch is coming out in a couple months and a new expansion a few more months after that.
If you have any questions or would like to join the guild Discord channel feel free to ask me here or in Discord - Drakkece #4320
Cost:
Right now the main cost of WoW is it's subscription fee. It is $15 a month, and on top of that the latest expansion is $50 - however, it will likely be on sale around Christmas and may see a price drop as the new expansion draws closer. You can however try up to level 20 completely for free (albeit the first 20 levels is not a good indicator of the WoW experience XD ). You can also buy subscription through in-game gold - if our guild becomes active we may use guild gold towards helping people pay their gold sub fee if they can't afford the regular fee.
Leveling:
Right now leveling is pretty linear, but a new patch is coming out in a couple months that will introduce level scaling in lower level zones, which will greatly enhance the leveling experience. In addition to this buying the current expansion gives you one max level boost!
It's also worth noting that if you make a new account through recruit-a-friend (a referral), then if you and your friend are together you get a massive experience boost allowing you to level much, much quicker.

Preparing for the Repeal of Net Neutrality and Tax Reform
Posted 8 years agoFor my fellow Americans:
I've been following the Republican tax reform plan and net neutrality repeal for some time now, and while they aren't done deals, there is strong evidence to suggest both will pass along strict party lines, despite both actions being deeply unpopular with the public. Both of these actions will have pretty big implications, so I wanted to take a moment to discuss what these bills passing will mean. I will try to keep things as politically neutral as possible as this post is meant to be implication assessments and not party bashing.
The repeal of net neutrality
I'll start with net neutrality since most people have been vocal about this one. As it currently stands broadband is considered a public utility under law, meaning service providers (ISP's) cannot effectively discriminate between websites and what customers do with broadband. The current head of the FCC - Ajit Pai - argues that net neutrality is hindering investment in ISP's and thus broadband growth, which he argues will benefit consumers. Currently Pai and his party hold a 3 to 2 majority in the FCC and have shown no sign of reconsidering his staunch anti net neutrality viewpoint which they adopted long before Pai was even put as chairman of the FCC by president Donald Trump.
With the repeal of net neutrality ISP's will be given much more freedoms over how they can provide bandwidth to internet services. At the moment ISP's are pledging they will strive to keep the internet free, but there are some caveats.
First, ISP's are not promising that they won't do 'internet fast lanes'. What this means is that they could potentially collect a hefty fee from a web service and in exchange give the service's sites broadband priority, allowing the site to operate faster. Bigger and more competitive sites like Netflix will almost assuredly opt to do this to remain competitive. However, the cost of these higher speeds will trickle to the consumers, meaning that neutrality repeal will most likely result in increased membership and service fees for certain sites like Netflix. Further implications of high speed priority is still up to debate.
Second, ISP's are signalling that they won't throttle sites at their whim, but obviously we have no way of knowing if they will keep such a promise or not.
Third, ISP's are promising that they won't block lawful web content. This wording is particularly eyebrow raising, because it implies that they intend to block sites that they deem unlawful. This is almost assuredly meant to imply a crackdown on torrenting sites as the industry at large has long bemoaned torrenting and other pirating sites. So if you are somebody who torrents content, then I highly suggest you get all of that taken care of before net neutrality is repealed.
Tax Reform
This one is much more complicated but I will explain the more important tidbits I have learned.
Currently the US tax code has 7 tax brackets for individuals and a combined tax of about 39% for corporations - however, the US tax code is full of convoluted deductions that complicates our tax system. Many tax cut advocates have called for a lower corporate tax as to ensure US companies are competitive on a global market (meaning investors are attracted in investing money in US businesses), typically citing that we have the highest corporate tax rate among the G20 - however, many proponents like to gloss over the fact that deductions mean our effective corporate tax rate is actually much lower, placing us in 3rd or 4th place for highest corporate tax rates among the G20.
Regardless how you feel about the issue the tax reform plan currently aims to reduce the number of tax brackets and also cut tax rates while slashing a lot of deductions, resulting in a net tax cut for most individuals and a large tax cut for corporations. A lot of news sites have been trying to digest the exact implications, but I will warn right now that a lot of them are misleading.
Before I list the major tidbits I have learned, it is important to note that the senate and house still have to reconcile their bills meaning that things here are subject to change.
Most individuals will see a tax cut. But there are asterisks to this
Most people will see a tax cut under the republican plan - the exact amount however depends heavily on where you live and how much you earn. The GOP is currently arguing that the middle class will see an extra $4,000 a year taking into account their projected wage increases under the tax plan, but economists agree that this is wildly optimistic. Most middle class earners will likely see somewhere around $500-1000, but here are two big asterisks:
First, the bill slashes SALT deductions, meaning that those living in high tax areas such as California, New York, etc. will likely experience a net tax increase with the bill passage. Republicans however are still working these details out so lower earners in these areas may not be affected as badly.
Second, the tax cuts for individuals sunset in the mid 2020's - meaning if they aren't extended then earners without substantial capital gains will see a net tax increase in 2027 of about $450 a year. Obviously we have no idea what the future political landscape holds so whether this happens or not is anyone's guess, but suffice to say no political party is eager to allow tax increases happen to the shrinking middle class.
The national debt will increase
This is a thorny issue because people differ wildly on how they view the national debt. Either way, the Republican tax reform package is estimated to increase the national debt by about 1.2 trillion over the next decade. Right now Republicans are trying to claim that their tax cuts will pay for themselves due to increased economic growth, but expert economists unanimously agree that the economic boost from the package will come far, far short of offsetting the costs of tax cuts. The consensus seems to be that the plan will cost 1.5 trillion, generate about 350 billion, and then lose another 50 billion due to interest on the remainder.
One speculation is that when Republicans see the deficit increase they might push for slashes to government programs like social security, medicare and medicaid, but it's hard to say when and if this would happen. It is actually a known Republican trick to purposefully increase the debt and use that as an excuse to cut programs, a strategy called "starving the beast".
The rich will reap the biggest benefits
Despite the GOP and the president insisting that the tax reform is mainly about the middle class, the biggest winners from the tax plan are corporations, those with substantial capital gains (i.e. shareholders), and those that will benefit from the estate tax repeal (of which only a few dozen people in all America will benefit from).
The GOP's argument is that corporate tax cuts will trickle down to employees because they believe the corporations will use tax savings and put them towards hiring new employees and increasing salaries for existing employees. But historical data shows that this isn't true - corporate savings are overwhelming used towards bonuses for executives and stock buyback. I've seen some estimates that 80% of the savings corporations will get will be used for these purposes, with the remainder going to employees.
This may very well be a demand from the GOP donor class, who are notoriously wealthy. Chris Collins actually admitted that โMy donors are basically saying, โGet it done or donโt ever call me again.'โ - which is very eyebrow raising.
Millions will lose health insurance - premiums will rise
The tax reform package does a lot to squeeze money to offset the costs of tax cuts, and one thing it is doing is eliminating the individual mandate that's part of the affordable care act. This saves the government money because the CBO has estimated that repealing the individual mandate will result in about 12 to 14 million people losing their health insurance. Essentially repealing the individual mandate throws the entire marketplace out of whack, and a result many people who depend on government assistance for healthcare will be dropped coverage and health insurers will have to raise prices with less healthy paying people in the marketplace.
The exact impact for the near future is still unknown, as new healthcare laws may pass in the near future. Hopefully the damage of the individual mandate repeal will be mitigated.
There will likely be a wave of job losses
Yes, you heard me. Job loss. Despite the bill being literally labeled as a jobs act by Republicans, it actually contains provisions that will likely encourage job loss in the United States, doing two major things to contribute to this.
First, the bill slaps companies with a one time tax rate for their existing overseas profits, but then goes on to permanently excluding overseas income from income taxes. This will encourage multinational companies to produce overseas as the cost of production in the US rises. As a result, many companies may find it cheaper to simply outsource.
Second, the bill has a provision that will allow companies to deduct the cost of new assets in the first year of the bill's passing. This means companies will be able to take out a loan, purchase equipment, and then write it off as a deduction. Why is this bad for jobs? Because this can include equipment that will allow for automation, which, thanks to machine learning, currently stands to replace a lot of jobs. This is ultimately a good thing for workers that remain because productivity will go up, but many workers may lose their job in 2019 because of this.
Anti-abortion Laws move a step further
You're probably thinking what the hell abortion laws have to do with tax cuts. Well, there is a very strange part in the tax reform law that involves language pertaining to fetuses. It includes a provision that allows expecting parents to effective open a savings account for their 'unborn child', and goes on to define what unborn child means. Many money experts have scratched their heads as to why this provision was included, because anyone can open a savings account when expecting a child and simply change the named beneficiary to the child once they are born. Essentially, this provision doesn't actually do anything.
But it does put into law language that gives a fetus rights. While this in itself will not give rise to any abortion laws, it is potentially a piece of a puzzle that republicans might be working on assembling that will stonewall abortion in some capacity as illegal if they can solidly make a case that US laws give substantial rights to a fetus as to define them as an unborn person.
This is all very speculative however, and only time can tell what will happen - but this is still worth noting as part of the bill whether you're pro life or pro choice.
I hope this helps. If you disagree with any of my statements feel free to let me know. I'm happy to discuss :)
