I am home from Chicago and MFF! I met lots of wonderful people at the convention and I enjoyed staying with and , Thanks for having me!

As for art stuff I'll be getting back into the swing of things here now that I'm home. Though if there is anyone who wishes to cancel their commissions with me please feel free to send me a note and I'll try to get a refund out to you as soon as I can.

OH Also I'm considering adding digital badges to my commissions list. I just don't know what I should charge so if anyone has any pointers that would be so very helpful. And yes I will be providing lamination, clips/lanyards, and I will be shipping them out. I believe shipping conbadges will be easier on me then shipping crochet projects.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q!) Why do I have to give you personal contact information like my cell phone number, hotel room number, and/or my shipping address?
A!) These are crochet commissions for items to be worn in real life. In order for you to actually wear these items I must deliver them to you in person at MFF. Having your cell phone number or your room number makes it easy for us to set up an appropriate meeting time. Should the unfortunate happen and we are unable to meet I can ship your commission to you at no additional cost.

Q!) I'm allergic to this type of yarn and/or cats, what should I do?
A!) If you're allergic to a type of yarn or cats please let me know! It's very important that you do! I will be sure to do my best to actively avoid that type of yarn or my pet cats. The last thing I want is for you to have an allergic reaction!

Q!) What's the difference between a V - Stitch and a Galaxy Stitch?
A!) The V - Stitch is a medium length loose stitch that allows for light weight and "breezy" creations. Due to this feature I am able to crochet more items with less yarn and as such offer them at a cheaper price. The Galaxy Stitch is a shorter, tighter, complex stitch and the items made with this stitch tend to be thicker due to requiring more yarn to complete. This results in a higher price, however the garment will keep you toasty warm all winter.

Q!) Can you make any other crochet stitch projects?
A!) I can, however I will only be offering these two stitches to keep orders simple. Sorry~!

Q!) Can you make animal themed hats?
A!) I can, however complicated creatures or complex markings may be turned down. Note me and we'll talk it over!

Q!) What's the Standard Yarn Weight System?
A!)The Standard Yarn Weight System is a way for crafters to categorize yarn by how thick it is. It has nothing to do with the actual weight of a yarn ball. This system is usually broken down into single digit numbers ranging from 0 (zero) to 6 (six). Even crazy thick, super bulky "yarn" will fit into 6 Super Bulky category. The number of your yarn is usually indicated on the ball sleeve or listed in the yarn's description online.

Q!) My bulky/super bulky/organic/natural fiber/post-consumer yarn doesn't cost $10, why must I pay extra?
A!) Even though you may have found your yarn for less then $10 online, I will still need to do one of two things: hunt local craft stores or special order said yarn from the internet. If you include the markup at a store or the shipping and handling for special orders chances are the final price for the yarn will be more then the price you saw.

Q!) What do you mean by "unlimited" when referring to decorations?
A!) If you decide you wish to add a little decoration to your project like pompoms, tassels, ribbon bows, and/or buttons they are $3 each, however you can add an unlimited number of said decorations. Want 6 pompoms? Only $3! Want 50 buttons? Only $3! Want 100 tassels? Only $3! Hope you get the idea~

Q!) I don't think I like my commission, may I have a refund?
A!) I'm sorry, but I'm afraid due to the nature of these commissions all sales are final. Once your commission is in your hands you can do with it as you wish, however! Give it away, trade it, and even sell it.

Well it's official now, there are restrictions on my account. I wasn't able to comply with their demands in time. I can still try to resolve the situation, but until then I can't withdraw, send, or transfer money from my account. I can still receive money, but it'll just be frozen until this is fixed.

I tried to call them, however I was put on hold and then hung up on a few times. It was very discouraging and rude!

In the mean time all payment for commissions must still be sent to my AlertPay account. I'm working on providing them with the information they want in order to resolve this issue. :C

For all those considering commissioning me please do not send payment via PayPal.

Due to reasons beyond my control PayPal has put limitations on my account. They have given me until Sept. 13th to remove these limitations and if I don't before then they will place a restriction on my account. What does a restriction mean? Well, from what I can tell it can mean a lot of things, but most likely they will put a lock on my account keeping me from sending/transferring money.

So basically I can receive money from others, but I can't get to any of it even though it's rightfully mine!

So until I get this all sorted out ALL PAYMENTS FOR COMMISSIONS MUST BE SENT TO MY ALERTPAY ACCOUNT.

If you're unsure about AlertPay lemme just say that it's exactly like PayPal in that it allows you to buy, receive, and send money online in the exact same ways as you would with a PayPal account. You will have to make an account if you don't already have one, but the set up is exactly the same. The only difference between PayPal and AlertPay is that AlertPay is based outside the US and is a little better at handling international accounts and purchases.

Please don't send any money to my PayPal account until I can get this all worked out!

So I'm sure a lot of you have been wondering where I've been (If not, that's cool too.) I went up to Portland, Oregon for another extended stay. It was nice, for the most part; Oregon actually has winters, my God! Thank goodness I love to crochet warm things.

If my roommate can manage to keep the apartment I'll be moving in. I'm back in California for now, but truth be told I no longer want to live here. Don't get me wrong, I used to absolutely love California, but that was in better times. Now... Well, unemployment is almost as high as the price of living. I can't seem to land a job here no matter how hard I try. I don't have a whole lot of work experience, so I don't blame employers for not taking a chance on me, but while I was in Portland I applied to many jobs. I got more call backs in three months then I have in a year living in Rialto.

I want out of dodge as soon as possible. Anywhere, but here is starting to look good. I just don't have the funds for a major country-wide move. All of my belongings would have to stay at my mother's house while I lived out of a suit case and slept on a couch for awhile. It sounds pitiful, but it's much better then staying in California, that's for damn sure. I feel like I'm trapped!

*sigh*

Anyway, until I hear back from my roommate I'm at my mother's house. I decided to formatted my computer's hard drive to give the poor clunker a second chance. My sister was using it a lot while I was away, poisoning the poor thing with all kinds of adware and spyware. My files were backed up and on the clean HD, however I've switched back to Photoshop 7.0. The program seems to be more agreeable with my computer then Photoshop CS4. So I'll be working with 7.0 until I can get a new(er) computer.

I've also gone ahead and canceled the Icon Sale. I think I refunded those that were on the list, but If I missed any please let me know as soon as possible. I lowered my prices for commissions too. I haven't had the best track record lately when it comes to commissions. In fact, I realize I haven't drawn much of anything. I'm trying to remedy that, but it's hard to put the energy into it when you've got much more serious worries on your mind.

I miss talking with my friends. I'm still on AIM, but I've also got a Skype account for voice chatting; I even have Ventrilo and Mumble if you prefer those programs. So hit me up sometime would'ya, punks? Being distant is lonely and being depressive sucks.

Sorry for the delay in posting a new journal. I'm home from Oregon, have been for awhile now. I broke up with my boyfriend of 5 years and I just haven't been able to find the motivation to draw anything. Hello, dears! I've been sick this past week with a head cold, coughing and a sore throat. D: I even lost my voice for a few days. Right now things are better, so I'm hoping this will all go away soon and I can get back to art. <3
