Hows everyone doing?
I just wanted to say how much I love and appreciate all of the kindness and support this fandom has given me for the past 2 decades. I couldn't have picked a better community to be in and my passion n love for the furry fandom has only grown stronger the more I've been in it and the more people I meet, especially at cons!!!!
I know I haven't been very active online (massive upload backlog on here, left twitter, newly joined bluesky this year), not because of disinterest in furry stuff but just because I've struggled with internet-specific burnout and developed some weird anxiety over posting. I appreciate the patience and excitement when I do post, and hope to once again start taking commissions, once I'm in a better place (literally.. prepping to move by the end of the month).
I'm looking forward to owning permanent place, I'll have more room and means to really set up a studio I'm comfortable in both for my fulltime 3D job but also I would loooove to try my hand at streaming!! I draw on the ipad though so I have no idea how feasible it is. But I'm just hoping to find a new refreshing way to connect with the fandom and friends and flood your inbox with sexy drawings of snakes and weird cursed things that make you go "wtf fivel".

Hello my fellow party animals!!!
my stress from having a growing multi-year queue of art I really need to upload on FA has been growing to crazy amounts which just makes it feel even more overwhelming to post everything lol. Does anyone have any reccs for a queued uploading system or something that can help me automate uploading everything on here without hopefully spamming/i.e being able to maybe post/upload 10 pieces a day or something? or just in general if anyone has any suggestions for uploading a large backlog <3 thank you!!
PS I'll be at FWA this year!! No table, just there to vibe and meet people. I'll be looking a bit sharky as well ;)

hey all!! I have been slow to update on here for a while now, and I have a lot of notes/messages I haven't had the energy to get back to. I just wanted to give you all a heads up that Since May my SO and I have been dealing with a big string of intense bad luck and it's taken a big toll on me, I've been focusing on dealing with that and processing it all. I don't see myself opening for commissions or really being able to make much smalltalk online for a while due to that and... on a lighter note....
I just wanted to say a lot of my business and pause from commissions has been due to my side project i've been working on with a small team of devs, an indie game i'm really excited to finally announce!!! Check out the trailer here!

Only note I'll give, if you're asking about commission openings, I'm working a full time job + working on an indie game on the side, so I really still am sticking to the perma-closing of commissions because of time/energy constraints. The ONLY time I open up is when it's to help friends out, fundraising for them. Outside of that, maybe some YCHs in the future and I do have an upcoming adopt for sale soon. :)

I've REALLY hit a snowballing problem with FA which is that I have been struggling to keep up with uploading everything I make to here. Uploading to FA via my ipad is an incredibly tedious process. most of that is probably on me because I'm still on FA classic UI lol. I should probably switch over.. I just love this classic UI for some reason.
But, I want to really put an effort into rectifying that. I have probably over 100+ pieces that are missing form this gallery spanning back over the last few years and I want to have them on here not only for preservation but because its a ton of art i'm proud of and want to share/celebrate with you all outside of fleeing social media moments. twitter is not a gallery.
I'd love to have a separate site I just upload EVERYTHING to so I ALWAYS have a 3rd party site.. i'd love to create a script that would transfer everything uploaded here onto that. but in the meantime, i'm going to just take everything and cross-reference seeing what's missing, and try to upload what I'm missing. Just at least 1 or 2 a day.. so expect a lot of notifications lol

HEY ALL! Sorry I've been so quiet, I have some kinda important updates so those who check my page can make sure they're caught up on the latest issue of Fivel News.
1. Life
- My amazing partner and I are both prepping to move to LA by the end of the year for our jobs :D I just accepted an offer for a new full time job that I'm very excited about as I continue my time in the game industry! If you know of any cool LA furry meetups let me know! I'd love to eventually head to them once things are settled and if the conditions are safe during this covid-craziness.
However, over the past year I've noticed a real decline in my ability to balance work and commissions on the side. I've been working full time (plus lots and lots of crunch) in the game industry for 5 years now, and balancing an intense job, with commissions, as well as patreon, is just... a lot.

2. Commissions
-I'm permanently closing commissions. I won't have any pricing or commission info available and will try to make it clear that this is something I'm no longer offering. I genuinely apologize to those who've been wanting to commission me, I know many of you have been waiting years for the opportunity and I legitimately wish I could take on everyone's commission because it's such a FUN fulfilling thing to do.
I've been taking on commissions for 15 years now, and I hope one day I can take them on again, but I need to really be strict about this and make zero exceptions. Unless you wanna bribe me like, $2k or something lol XD

3. Patreon
- I'm continuing my Patreon but with a bit more of this freed up time it'll make it easier to fulfill my promises and also maybe bring in new features like a discord server, adopts, and possibly patreon exclusive YCHs for the times I really feel the itch to take on a commission. However I am going to be pausing it for december as I prep for the move & holiday season, which will give me time to go back and update the pledges to fit better for my new lifestyle.

Again, I'm sorry for the disappointment, and as some on twitter had been bitter and trying to blame patreon, it isn't a factor at all in this decision. My Patreon is as casual as I can make it, and thanks to the supportive people on there it allows me time to draw sexy stuff that's for ALL to enjoy. Hey all,
April has been a really busy month with a lot of changes, including the ending of a long term relationship, moving, and now as of Friday, being freelance. Some of you may already know that I've been in the AAA game industry the past 5 years (wow, time flies) and my time in games has been amazing, and WILL continue, but for now I am taking a hiatus to focus on myself and my mental health, and also genuinely give freelancing a shot fulltime. it's always been something I've done in between school, or work, but I am really excited to see how things go if I can truly commit my time to commissions, versus just trying to fit them in between 40-50+ hour work weeks.
More info will be coming soon, including all answers to any questions you have about commissions/pricing/etc, but for now I'm taking AT LEAST this week off to truly unwind and relax.
That said, if you're interested in commissioning me, this is a heads up to save up some side moneys so you'll be ready for the upcoming weeks ;)

Gonna try not to jinx it but..... let’s hope this year turns out alright!!
I’ve realized that I need to stop putting off certain goals that I know will make me happy, and I’m hoping this spring I can turn to freelancing for a while, which will honestly give me more time to do what I really love, which is furry illustrations/commissions. There’s been a few times in the past year where I was thinking I could take the leap but my careers been good so I’ve been trying to see where it goes, but with COVID still a threat I think this is the best time for me to be able to see what *i* can do independently until it’s safe to job hunt again 😷
We lost a lot in 2020. socially, financially, health, the growing threat of racism, political uncertainty, and we lost a lot of wonderful people this year, including someone very special, who I miss with all my heart. If you lost anyone, COVID or not, I’m so sorry. I really wish you and your friends/family the best. Sorry to end on a sad note, I just had to get it out there!!
C’mon 2021, you’re a weird sounding year to say out loud, but I hope you suck a little bit less than your older brother 2020! 😇 happy New Years

Even before this whole quarantine craziness, I always take some time to replay some of my favorite childhood games.
Obviously if you’ve seen my recent gallery you can assume I’ve been playing super Mario world 😂 Subconsciously got through almost the entire game without dying once, until I wasn’t paying attention and got hit by a fire ball. SMW was my first game I ever played so it’s one I hold very close to my heart, despite not playing many other Mario games.
Also been revisiting age of empires II (I need to get the remastered steam version so I can finally play it multiplayer) which I revisit probably annually along with roller coaster tycoon 1.

What are the top games you seem to revisit the most? Whether it’s nostalgia or the game is just too good to put down?

I had been mainly keeping FA for my more finished complete work but I think it’ll be good to have them on here too for those who miss them on twitter or don’t use the site at all.

Hey buds, hope all is well! I have a question and was wondering if any other artists on here could give some advice.
For years I’ve been able to upload higher res pics (usually 1500x1500px or so) but uploading, then changing the source file. They’d update to be larger and still PNG quality.
I noticed I can’t seem to do that anymore, not sure if it’s an intentional change or not (turns jpegged) so I upload normal sized PNGs at the 1280 limit but it still seems to get JPEG artifacts. I try updating the source file but no dice.
If it helps, I use my iPad and procreate app.
Any idea what I can do to make sure I am able to upload crisp high quality art to FA? Thank you!

Edit: it definitely is my iPad!! I’ll have to upload from my PC from now on. Extra step to go from iPad —> PC but worth it to get good quality FA posts. Thank you all!

edit edit: the source seems to be from exporting from procreate itself (the drawing app I use. Exporting PNGs gets bad artifacts. Shame, but a .tiff looks jut fine. Thank you all for the help.

Disabling iCloud fixed this as iCloud was automatically compressing my photos to save space.
