going to be feeling that bite soon
Posted 13 years agoNow that I'm back to earning a regular income, I'll be on the hunt for artists to commission-
-I'm looking for someone who can draw people. And not just your traditional portrait work, but also capable of drawing them dynamically and from interpretation as well.
Essentially, I'm looking for someone who can draw me some Katts & Dog/Rin Tin Tin: K9 Cop pieces with a humanized Lux incorporated.
I know its not my usual thing to commission, but the show has a lot of personal meaning and nostalgia that is really far too private to go into detail.

Posted 13 years agoI have an art Tumblaugh; http://aerospiritual.tumblr.com/
Full of all the stupid things I draw between my serious pieces and large commission images.
And on the subject of commissions, I'm throwing together a work schedule for myself so I can stop procrastinating.
This is my current list:

If you're not on here, please let me know.
I really want to get this list done and over with. =P

Posted 13 years agoStolen from
1: Could you go the rest of your life without smoking a cigarette?
Uh huh. I don't exactly have any other choice in the matter anyway due to health reasons.
2: Are you single/taken/heartbroken/confused?
Collared, leashed, and happily owned.
3: What if I told you that you were pretty?
I would be polite and thank you for the compliment.
4: Ever been told “it’s not you, it’s me”?
Why yes, yes I have. And it really was them, not me.
5: Are you interested in anyone right now?
My epic beardman.
6: What are you looking forward to in the next week?
My epic beardman returning home for two weeks.
7: Do you want to be single?
Uh. No.
8: Did you go out or stay in last night?
I stayed in. Had a couple beers. Felt like crap afterwards,
9: How late did you stay up last night?
0030 unless waking up with horrible nausea at 0340 counts.
10: Can you recall the last time you realized you liked someone a lot?
Very easily. Like. Right now, easily.
11: Last three things you had to drink?
coffee, beer, water.
12: Have you pretended to like someone?
No; that's a pretty dickish thing to do.
13: Have you ever told somebody you loved them and not actually meant it?
Once, but it was on a rebound from a pretty messed up relationship.
14: Honestly, has anyone seen you in your underwear in the past 3 months?
Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
15: Is it hard for you to get over someone?
It depends on the relationship and how long it has lasted- I've dated people for a little over a month, felt a twinge of heartbreak but moved on fairly easily.
It would be very different if it were my current relationship of eight years since there's a great deal of time invested in that and we've come to a point where it's just really, really weird to not have the other around.
16: Think back five months ago, were you single?
Noep.
17: What were you doing at 12:30 this afternoon?
It's 12:01
18: Hold hands with anyone this week?
Nope.
19: Could you go for the rest of your life without drinking alcohol?
I probably really should, for the sake of my gut and liver.
20: What would you name your future daughter?
I don't want kids.
21: Do you miss anyone?
My epic beardman.
22: Have you kissed three or more people in one night?
...suddenly I feel like the only one who has ever played spin the bottle.
23: Did your last kiss take place in/on a bed?
In a truck.
24: Are you good at hiding your feelings?
I do it all the time.
25: Have you ever cried from being so mad?
Nope.
26: Who did you last see in person?
My mommy.
27: Are you listening to music right now?
The sounding of church bells outside.
28: What is something you currently want right now?
I /really/ want to crawl back into bed right now.
29: What is the last thing you said out loud?
"NNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH."
30: How is your heart lately?
It does its thing.
31: Do you wear the hood on your hoodie?
If I'm out in the bush for an extended period of time and have developed a severe case of helmet hair.
32: Are you wearing socks?
Nope.
33: What do people call you?
TJ, Teej, Lux, Geary
34: Will you talk to the person you like tonight?
Over le Steam.
35: Are there any stressful situations in your life?
My whole life is a stressful situation right now.
36: Who did you last share a bed with?
My epic beardman.
37: Did you do something bad today?
I took dramamine to stop myself from spilling my guts all over the place, slept in well past my alarm.
38: When was the last time a member of the opposite sex hugged you?
Almost two weeks ago.
39: Do you get stressed out easily?
I try to remain chill about everything; my house is in a current state of disarray due to renovations, my mom and step-dad hate my guts, there's a severe shortage of rental housing within the city, I have uni in a week, I'm flat broke, and the world beyond is going to hell in a handbasket.
All I can really do is keep calm and carry on.
40: Will you sing today?
I always sing.
41: Have you ever wanted to tell someone something but didn’t?
Yyyyep. This happens a lot- I'm not sure if I'm just being cowardly or tactful.
42: Who do you go to when you need to talk to someone?
I go to any one of my friends.
43: Have you ever been taken to the emergency room in an ambulance?
...now that I think of it, no, no I have not.
44: What are you listening to right now?
The sound of rustling leaves as the wind rushes past my window, accompanied by the exuberant squeals of small children.
45: What is wrong with you right now?
Everything keeps breaking down or breaking out. And doctors haven't the foggiest of ideas.
46: What is on your wrists right now?
Skin. Hair, bits of scar tissue because I can't stop scratching mosquito bites and then picking at the subsequent scabs.
47: Where did you get the shirt/sweatshirt you’re wearing?
I... Honestly don't remember. But it's a Who t-shirt!
48: What do you like better: hot chocolate or hot apple cider?
Hot chocolate, I suppose.
49: Do you make wishes at 11:11?
I thought you made wishes whenever all of the clock digits were the same, not just a specific one.
But no, no I don't.
50: Are you a good artist?
I suppose that's all a matter of opinion, eh?
51: Love really is a beautiful thing huh?
Love is a reason for living, a reason for trying, a reason for life.
52: Do you miss the way things were six months ago?
Nope; I don't think I could possibly ever miss being constantly bedridden and then being rushed to the hospital because I could not stop throwing up.
53: Ever been on a golf cart?
Surprisingly, no.
54: Do you have trust issues?
Trust is the hardest thing to build and the easiest to break.
55: Ever stayed up all night on the phone, with who?
I have... About nine years ago with one of my friends from archery- we had a huge crush on one another.
56: Do you own something from Hot Topic?
I don't think so, no.
But if I do/did, it would have been bought at a second hand store.
57: Do you use chap stick?
I eat chap stick.
58: Have you ever slapped someone in the face?
I punch.
59: Do you have a little sister?
I am the youngest in my family.
60: Have you ever been to New York?
Nope.
61: Think of the last person who said I love you, do you think they meant it?
Yes.
62: Have you hugged someone within the last week?
No.
63: What were you doing at midnight last night?
Discussing details about Danny and his situation regarding Augustine and his wife Sian with
and
and then getting constructive crits on my lighting from
.
In reality, I should have been sleeping.
64: Have you ever regretted kissing someone?
Ugh, yeah.
65: Is there one person in your life that can always make you smile?
EPIC BEARDMAN.
66: Were your last three kisses from the same person?
Yes.
67: Have you kissed anyone in the last five days?
Nope.
68: Would you rather sleep with someone else or alone?
I like curling up on top of my epic beardman.
69: Will next Friday be a good one?
YES. My epic beardman will be home!.

1: Could you go the rest of your life without smoking a cigarette?
Uh huh. I don't exactly have any other choice in the matter anyway due to health reasons.

back and
Posted 13 years agoI SEEM TO HAVE DEVELOPED QUITE THE CASE OF POISON OAK.
Covering a good portion of my body.
Most likely from that scree run down the massive hill behind the hotel.
But. I had what ended up to be a pretty awesome time; spent a lot of time by the airport- on the harbor. Toured the USS Midway, shot down a couple Zeros in the flight sim, and saw blue whales from a schooner.
And now it's back to work!

Posted 13 years agoI'm trapped in San Diego.
Sorry to everyone who I've currently left hanging- I'll tie up all my loose ends on the 8th, when I'm home and with my drawing supplies.

Before I go off making oddles of accounts just because a momentary want for gallery organization has be wanting to, uh.
Sort things according to project.

Because I don't feel like filing away more lot grades.
Feel free to ask me anything you've ever wanted to know about me.
My only guarantee is that some answers may be vague.

Whilst actually hunkering down and finishing my queue of trades and commissions.
And do some value studies.
And some environments.
And give other characters some love instead of drawing Lux all the time.

Why do you type in quotations?
Posted 13 years ago"And leave comments in a format such as this?
It's not as though you're actually speaking; you're typing in a comment box.
It's also not as though you're on some kind of roleplaying site where everyone else is in character and you need to differentiate between dialogue and character actions."

Getting to know the Plaguedog
Posted 13 years ago0. We all know what we call you, what about the folks at home? Whats your name?
I have a name, but it is irrelevent; just call me TJ. That's what my name will be legally changed to anyway.
1. How tall are you?
5'4"
2. Natural hair color? (if you can remember it)
Brown.
3. What about eye color?
Green.
4. What orientation are you?
Pansexual- I honestly couldn't care less about who or what you identify as, I only want to love and be loved in return.
5. Are you single, taken, or undecided?
Taken, closed relationship.
6. What do you do in your spare time?
Currently, not a whole lot of anything. Mostly battling physical illness, playing video games, and trying not to get overly depressed about it all.
7. What's your job?
In the summer, I inspect bridges. In the winter, I do odd jobs around a consulting firm.
8. What's one thing you like about yourself?
I empathize- probably a lot more than is really healthy.
9. Alright, now what about something you dislike about yourself?
I have a self-defeating inferiority complex and a fear of failure.
10. What's some things your friends noticed about you when they first met you?
I'm short and wear yellow tinted glasses.
11. Of what faith/religion are you(if any at all?)
Agnostic.
12. Do you drink?
I used to drink quite a bit.
Now, every time someone mentions drinking, I feel a strong urge to punch them right in the nose.
Purely because I had to give up drinking for health reasons and withdrawl is a bitch.
13. Do you smoke?
Used to. Had to give that up too.
Though, oddly enough, I can't say I've had any strong cravings for a cigarette since...
14. What are your fears?
Heights, small and confined spaces, and clowns.
15. What are your dreams/goals?
Taking things one step at a time; get my health back in order- find out what has been making me so gawddamn sick and unable to fully function.
Go back to university, finish getting a degree in urban studies and planning.
Move out with my partner.
Start flight training.
Just gotta. Get better- get well again.
16 .Ever had any crushes/ex's in the past/present?
This is a strange question- I mean. Isn't it entirely natural for the majority of the human population to feel some kind of attraction to someone else?
I've dated a few people. Broke some hearts.
But not recently; I've been with the same person for eight years now.
17. Who's your best bud?
I have plenty of friends, but if I must single some people out, I'd have to pick :userphantasmagora: and :userkrhainos:- they mean the world to me.
18. Alright, you got the cravin' for munchies, what'cha reachin' for?
I guess this bag of assorted nuts will have to do; can't have anything that contains dairy, gluten, or eggs.
19. Favorite drink?
Bee- I mean, I FUCKING LOVE THIS GINGER ALE.
20. Favorite color?
Green. And grey. Well. Grey is a shade, but whatever.
21. If you had any super power, what would it be?
Self-healing/regeneration.
22. Favorite movie?
This entirely changes depending on what mood I'm in. Since I am currently in an emotionally sentimental headspace, I will choose Homeward Bound.
23. Least favorite food?
Anything that has random crunchy bits in it. I can't stand the random crunchies.
24. Quick! You have only one meal left before you die!!! What is it?
I would have a three course meal made entirely of different flavors of ice cream.
25. What do you drive/wish you drove?
I d'know... That Koenigsegg CCX with the Top Gear Wing is pretty damn sweet.
But I also have a thing for those wee Jeep TJs and would love one in red.
26. Most disliked bug?
I think it's a draw between bed bugs and botflies.
I mean. I was attacked once by bed bugs while spending the night at someone's house. And that was an intensely itchy violation that I cannot wish upon everyone.
But there's also something incredibly skeevy about a fly whose larvae eat and burrow into one's flesh until they pupate.
27. Most hated pet peeves?
Could of/should of instead of could've/should've. People looking over my shoulder at what I'm doing is another one.
28. Dislike in life?
The degredation of human intelligence. And how the education system is so lacking that kids of above average intelligence are bored out of their skulls, thusly diagnosed with ADD/ADHD and essentially drugged for being smart. Parents who can't be bothered to raise their children is another.
Oh, and how sites like Facebook are changing traditional forms of human contact and socialization. i.e. how my family only chooses to communicate with me through Facebook. They all have my phone number, but they choose to use this website instead.
29. Most annoying?
Most annoying what?
30. Most disliked TV show?
Everything on MTV and TLC[does anyone even remember when this was once called The Learning Channel and actually had decent programming?]. As well as all of those celebrity gossip shows.
I have a name, but it is irrelevent; just call me TJ. That's what my name will be legally changed to anyway.

As well as all of those celebrity gossip shows.
quitting is easy
Posted 13 years agoIt's the utterly incessant hunger pangs that are hard.
insomnia, amongst other things
Posted 13 years agoLike re-quitting smoking.
And giving up booze.
Because I don't want to spend more time in the hospital than I already have.
But it's all keeping me up at night- my body is far too accustomed to having some level of nicotine and alcohol in my system when I sleep.
Yet.
Holy fucking shit- things actually have /flavor/ again.
AND I CAN BREATHE.
Also, I'm sorry if I leave some pretty uh. Strange, but harmless comments- between the lack of sleep and the anti-nausea medication, my head is definitely not on straight.

What is the point
Posted 13 years agoOf posting a 2000x2000px+ image?
Yes, I get that your details are lovely and all, but no one can actually see the full image and the zoomed out version is much too small to appreciate. Most people's screen resolutions won't go higher than 1920x1080 and a good majority of people don't even use a resolution that large. It's not like we're all browsing FA on billboard sized computer screens with billboard sized resolutions.
Seems more like a ego rub that does your artistic promotion a lot more harm than good- no one can see the image properly while zoomed out and when full viewing, they're faced with a crotch the size of their computer monitor and have to pan around.
Just. WHY?

Posted 14 years ago"Could of/should of/would of".
That's "could have/should have/would have", or any one of those modal verbs with a 've' contraction. 'Of' is a preposition that modifies a verb, 'have' is a verb. To use the former instead of the latter makes you look like an illiterate pillock who failed second grade.
I swear that most engineers have never opened a book in their lives.
I have seen the word 'superseded' spelt eight different ways in one document.
This concludes today's English lesson.
