Artwork Raffle Event on Secondlife (date to be announced)

It may be relatively small scale on the mainland, but as far as I'm concerned it's good enough since I'm not expecting supermassive population influxes over 50 people at a time.
2048 square meters, mainland, Moderate (may not post the location in the SL location search engine if content on the land is rated Adult, so I post here.)
Simple rules apply yadda yadda:
Don't be a dickhead.
Keep the discussions civil.
Keep the your politics to yourself, the place is only to be used for porn related topics or casual conversation.
No underage avatars at all.
*You must be 18 years old to enter the parcel.
*You must have payment info on file.
There WILL be a special event announced later. Artwork Raffle collaboration between badgerben and harpy again just like this >>> https://www.furaffinity.net/view/55970853/ <<< submission. I will be paying for the entire raffle image for this promotional event out of my own pocket.
Ben has agreed to participate in this event by doing lines, and only torso-up or busts since he has a very full queue of artworks to work on.
Harpy has agreed to participate by doing full colors, shades, and finished rendering polish with simple background.
The raffle will be conducted by me in-world on SL on a to-be-announced date in the next few weeks 2-3 weeks time. (around mid-april)
(once i find out what my work schedule looks like i'll make the official post for the date, on one of my days off)
Each art piece is estimated between $70-150, depending on character and outfit complexity

RULES FOR THE RAFFLE:

-it helps with the artists as trying to do a character without a visual reference is a pain in the ass for certain artists, let alone getting colors right without said visuals

I would expect the raffle date to be sometime in mid-April. I will make another post when i get my work schedule for april and i can set the date on a day off from work so it can be a full day of hanging out and chatting with peeps.
There will be at least 2 drawings on that day, and more over the spring and through summer to fill all the picture frames I have set up at the hangout \o/

---Terms of Commissioning---
Posted 2 years agoMoving forward, I will be imposing my own terms of commissioning on new artists that I have not already worked with or vetted by people I commission with who have worked with them.
I will not be playing anymore games with self-entitled "artists" who are abusing the commissioning scene and making it an absolute pain in the ass to find the actual good and decent ones who actually give a damn about their customers.
If put on a wait list, I will only pay once my slot comes up. I will not be gambling with multi-month long wait times after paying money for a commission that I might not be interested in having later.
---A wait list can be negotiated under specific circumstances that warrant it.
(such as high complexity commissions like: 3D works, game assets, animations, multi-image series'. Things that require a down payment and time to get finished because of how large of a project they are + the specialized nature of that artists field in particular)
---Paypal's buyers protection only covers 3months for a refund. If I'm not receiving my goods or services in the allotted time frame then you're taking on way too much of a workload. You don't get to bullshit around this for a single 2D image anymore. If the image is not finished in 2 months I will initiate a refund on Paypal, since their refund process takes a few weeks on their side.
---I am interested in a specific idea, for specific reasons, and at a specific time. Once a certain threshold of time has passed, I no longer care for the idea and no longer want to do it. As such; any money spent on said idea will have been a waste if it takes too long to create, and will also be a waste of my time.

---No contact info, no deal.
---I will need at bare minimum: the artists direct/commissioning email and discord username to keep communications quick and painless as FA's basic note system is not sufficient for this. Or until everyone is using FABUI addons in their browsers (adds audio pings when receiving watches/notes/comments, among other interface improvements)
---My hours per week ranges between 32-40+. I get home, and I check my emails, notes, and COMs on discord for updates from all of my working artists. I give feedbacks as soon as I get home from work, this turnover is between 16-24 hrs. Depending on if you sent a message while I was asleep/getting ready/leaving for work/at work all day/just went to sleep for work.
---Once I send feedbacks for any changes or input required to further the commission, I'm expecting a reply in about the same timeframe. If both of us are available and progress is being made currently that's perfect, as I will stop all my gaming and I sit my happy ass down and will wait for WIPs to come in and I give feedbacks quickly.
---A REPLY IS REQUIRED IF I SEE THE NOTE WAS OPENED ON FA'S NOTE SYSTEM. AT THE VERY LEAST MAKE AN ACKKNOWLEDGEMENT THAT YOU READ IT SO IT DOESN'T LOOK LIKE YOU'RE GHOSTING.
---If there is a health or family emergency: it's really that easy to inform your commissioners via a journal and just copy paste it to your paying customers. Emergencies pop up at random and we won't be that bothered to wait for you to get back.
---The problem that I am stopping is: I send feedback, or I ask a question. And I get no reply for days, weeks, or months, for no reason why.
---If I see you uploading pictures but not replying to notes, emails, or on discord; I will assume you are ghosting me and I will initiate a refund on Paypal. If my time is not that valuable to you, then neither is my money.
Consistent WIPS and updates.
---Once payment is made, I expect a rough sketch the same day to begin working out a rough idea on a pose or begin working from the references provided. Regular updates or WIPS are expected at bare minimum weekly, but preferred daily or at most moderate every 2 days. The artist might have a par-time or full-time job and artwork is the side hobby that fills in, so I can't expect full progress daily. But once you are paid, I still have the entitlement to see progress on my commission that I've already busted my ass working for that money for artwork.
I like my current small hand picked group of artists. Why? Because when they get around to my commissions, they give lots of WIPs and have consistent communications that keeps the interest of the idea fresh and engagement level high.
However; when I do business with someone who I barely know, or they seem to have a habit of falling off the radar and stop communicating or BARELY providing progress, WIPs, or any updates at all, that's when I'm going to have issues with them personally. I am not forgiving in the slightest anymore. Forgiveness is for the weak and the naïve, and it only enables others to take advantage of you.

Anyone know of any places that are decent to loiter at or hangout sometime?
(i would also need to know if there are any private places to test out features with that avatar once it gets rigged and ready to test and finetune with the rigger. the private place would need to be absolutely private and not open to the public since i don't want to just get banned at a public location, since the avatar would be capable of being lewd)

Why?
Because those two made significant donations to me this passed May, and it was because of them they I was able to line up multiple commissions from multiple artists at the same time to set up a long list of incoming commissions for everyone to enjoy, of their favorite hyper-inflatable-herm-horse :3
Why did they donate instead of just do joint commissions with me? IDUNNO! They donated because I guess they were feeling generous at the time or something! ; u;
And no I did not pocket any of it, it went straight to getting more commissions that they love seeing get made. I also set up several commissions featuring their characters with Sheila as a thank-you for their generosity, one of which I uploaded recently with their characters. (there's still 2 more coming as of writing this journal)

Without those donations; this burst of lewd artwork, and now current steady stream of artwork that's still coming in, wouldn't have been possible without their generosity. :>

Some of them being long term series, but being only 1 person it will take time to get them going.
Donations WILL speed things up since I do not pocket any of it and I will funnel those funds directly into artists to get more of your favorite horse drawn!

Fur friendly guild, but non-furs can join. We're planning on doing guild dungeon runs, world and bg pvp, and raids if we get enough bodies.
Also looking for artist who is interested in making an advertisement for the guild to attract moar peeps cuz i'm betting people don't sift through journals when they can more easily just browse for pictures! D:

The idea was maaaaaaaaaybe using it as a crowd-funding tool if people really like seeing my horse or her raptor form in the typical lewd situations that I keep getting, or at least with the idea/reasoning i'm thinking of where people just chip in with little bits here and there to speed it along so it's more consistent.
And before people start with the argument of "why should i give you the shinies when i can just give the support to the artists, and you don't create anything?".
Because
A: it's still my character that's being made (that a lot of people enjoy seeing in lewd situations)
B: there are at least a dozen of other artists that i routinely commission, so it'd just be more accurate to use the crowd fund pool so the artist you want to support gets work sooner and more frequent, and they are drawing a character that you(hopefully) enjoy seeing in the lewd situations more frequently.
C-a: if people like this idea but want to influence on where the money goes it can be stated for "hey here's some for your next pic by (insert artist suggestion name here)"
C-b: if people really jump on board with this and there's a loud enough group being vocal about where it goes then it can be put to a survey/straw-pol thing of all the artists suggested and people get to vote on who i go throw the monies at to get horse/raptor arts made of their favorite fetish material
D: ... this isn't going to be a monthly gimmick like patreon either so you won't be required to dump ridiculous amounts every month. Like, literally don't kill yourself with subscriptions on top of subscriptions, jeez.

No but really. Nothing particularly bad has happened. Just not going to be posting much or very often for the foreseeable future because making car payments on my 1st vehicle, learning to drive, and going to be kinda on the look for a new job cuz the current one sucks aaaaaaaaaaaaaass.

Posted 8 years agoI have a large sum of $L on sl, that i'd like to use to pay for some commissions. Quality artwork is preferred over black+white inks/sketches, but this may be negotiated depending on the artists quality of work. (over 11,000 lindons available for use)
