To Creators Wishing to Join / InkedFur 2.0
Posted 7 years agoWe have been bad at keeping our FA up to date, and we really should! A lot of our staff is assigned on working on the new site so we're currently short-pawed a bit.
We WILL be accepting new creators in the next week or two! We are trying to get the new site launched in beta which will have the creator application. The current WordPress site will be taken down as it was always meant as a temporary solution. However, we didn't think it would be for three years. Our idea for the site surpassed most developers we worked with, but mauabata has handled this new site like a pro and we are nearly ready to launch! We are working on some SSL issues with images loading along with watermarking. Once those are in place, we should be able to launch shortly after FurSquared.
FurSquared! We will be there. We are going to be liquidating a lot of our prints to slim down our binders for new skilled creators. We also will start carrying mainly 9x12 only at conventions. So at the con, if you can make it, all prints are buy 2 get 1 free.
Previously, we announced we were going to be lowering dakimakura and wall scroll percentages to 30% royalties. We have decided not to and royalties for fabric products will remain at 35% with royalties for prints going up to 40%
YCHs! We haven't hosted one in awhile but considering it! They're always popular and bring in lots of money to our artists. They're hard to organize but usually worth it. Would anyone be interested in bidding on one if we got some great creators together for this?
Thanks for your time!

Content Policy Update
Posted 8 years agoInkedFur has been reviewing it's policies and procedures as we switch over to a new website. We have in the past allowed creators to declare what the ages are of the subjects of their pieces. We have decided going forward that characters, whom are canonically underage, cannot be sold in pieces within sexual situations, regardless of the creator's certification. With original characters, creators are able to declare ages and we will allow the art on a case by case basis.
Policies and Responsibilities
Posted 9 years agoGreetings fans, friends, customers, and creators,
Due to several recent cases, it has come to our attention that we may need to clarify our policies regarding special treatment and specific situations. We have had several creators and customers who have seemed to expect us to go beyond what we are comfortable with as a business – which is to say, expecting us to provide free or discounted products and services, provide refunds for products already received, or any number of other responses to situations in which they feel wronged by a situation that has become difficult, in ways that we feel may be excessive. Such difficult situations include delays, policy misunderstandings, and other occurrences wherein the creator or customer and InkedFur do not see eye to eye. While we always strive to provide the best service and products possible, there are always going to be situations in which unfortunate occurrences are out of our hands, or where we must absolutely stick to our policies and guidelines as a business. InkedFur, like any business, cannot afford to take large losses when misfortune strikes a situation in ways we could not have forseen. In situations where mistakes or unfortunate circumstances are InkedFur's responsibility, we will of course make our best efforts to make it up to our clients and resolve the situation to the extent that we are able. Even in situations where it is NOT InkedFur's responsibility, we always do our best to make sure everyone is as happy as possible. However, we simply cannot go against our own policies time and again to soothe those making demands that are beyond a reasonable expectation for resolving things. Were we to give special treatment outside of our standard policies to every client who pursued it, we would have a very hard time making a profit indeed — and it is completely within normal expectations for a business to wish to make a profit, as that is the purpose of businesses in general. While InkedFur prides itself on being a present, responsible, easy to work with, and enjoyable part of the community, we are obviously first and foremost a business and must operate as such. We apologize for any frustration this may cause but sticking to our policies and principles is very important for well-organized and well-run business practices.
It must be made clear that once products have left our hands and are in shipping, we cannot be responsible for any delays, damage, or other issues. Please take up such issues with the postal authorities themselves. We also cannot take responsibility for delays due to manufacturing products which we do not produce in-house (such as towels, dakimakurs, and books). We always make our best efforts to keep things running smoothly and on time, but we cannot control the parts of our services which are not handled by us directly.
We hope this clears up any misunderstandings there may have been about how InkedFur must and does function, and we wish to make it clear that we always want the best for our creators and customers and for everyone to come out of these situations feeling as satisfied and happy as possible. Additionally, we will be updating our policies and terms on the website soon to clarify things further, and will post a notification when this is complete.

Pulse Fundraiser
Posted 9 years agoThe staff of InkedFur are heartbroken over the events last weekend in Orlando. Sangie working with the staff decided to host a fundraiser to raise money for Equality Florida.
Of all the prints that are purchased below over the next week, half of the proceeds will either go to Equality Florida’s gofundme or directly to the organization to help benefit the victims of the Pulse shooting. The artists will still get their share of the profits.
All the images below have been selected from our staff and creators that we feel appropriately represent all facets of the LGBTQI+ spectrum, with some pieces directly drawn to vent out the heartache of this tragedy.
More info and the prints nominated by the staff and creators of InkedFur. Again, all prints purchased here will still have royalties go to the artist plus InkedFur will donate 50% of the proceeds to Equality Florida.
http://inkedfur.com/pulse
Please place your purchases before Friday, June 24th, which is when the fundraiser will end at 11:59 PM CST.
Thank you for your support.

Forced Global Password Resets
Posted 9 years agoInkedFur customers, creators, and users of all kinds:
Earlier this evening, InkedFur.com was the target of an attack whose purpose appears to have been to infect various pages with a script that would cause visitors to said pages to receive a pop-up, as well as silently injecting malicious files into their browser cache. From the cache, the files would auto-download to the site visitor's computer and install a trojan. The attacker also left calling cards on other site pages.
In response to this attack, we took InkedFur.com offline to prevent any possible infections, wiped to backup, patched vulnerabilities, and reset user passwords. You should have received an email prior to this one from wordpress[at]inkedfur.com with your new password; please log in to the InkedFur website ASAP and change your password to something of your choosing from this page: https://inkedfur.com/my-account/edit-account/ . Please use a different password than your previous InkedFur.com password. You may also wish to change your password on any other website that uses the same password as your previous InkedFur.com password. We do not believe that the attacker had access to passwords or other personal information, but we wish the website to be as safe and secure as possible for you to use.
OF NOTE: NO CREDIT CARD INFORMATION WAS COMPROMISED. Financial information is not stored on InkedFur.com and remained secure throughout the attack.
Due to the site being wiped to backup, all data after April 10, 2016 has been lost. However, if you placed an order after this date, it will still be processed as we have backup information on all orders.
We greatly apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. We appreciate your patience and understanding, and look forward to your continued business with and enjoyment of InkedFur, InkedFur.com, and its products. If you have any questions, feel free to email us at staff[at]inkedfur.com or tweet at our Twitter account, InkedFurPrints.

Size Format Changes For Prints
Posted 9 years agoAttention everyone! Our size format of 8.5"x11" is no longer going to be an option in general check out. Instead, we will be using 8"x10" as this is better for framing and matting.
Artists will still be able to obtain 8.5"x11" prints of their own pieces, at least for the time being. If you are an artist and wish to use this service, please contact us through our website and we will get things taken care of.
Thanks for being awesome!

InkedFur Policy Updates
Posted 10 years agoGood day everyone. As you may know, we recently sent out a newsletter addressing some policy changes for the site and updates to the Terms of Service, namely that InkedFur will no longer be allowing artwork depicting minor characters in adult situations. In the ToS, we are also adding a note that InkedFur is not organizationally responsible to warn creators about the potential content uploaded to the site by other creators. The responsibility to research the content present on the site falls on potential users, as it is infeasible for InkedFur to provide personalized content warnings. However, the ToS does now include a brief summary of themes which may be found on the site, for quick reference.
There have been complaints made that InkedFur was concealing the presence of drawn adult situations containing minor characters on the site. This is not true and was never the intent of InkedFur or the staff. We apologize sincerely for any offense or alarm caused to any users or creators by our allowing of this content. It is our hope that the changes to our Terms of Service will allow users to avoid running into similar situations in the future.
After much discussion with our creators and our staff, we feel that such content falls well within our stance on other potentially illegal material. This is in no way meant to be an indictment or moral judgement upon the community that enjoys such material. We are looking to close any potential for our staff or customers to be criminally charged for content on our website. Later, we will be able to expand what we allow once we get the new website working with advanced filters, some set to default, much like how e621 operates.
At current, our staff is going through the content uploaded to InkedFur by hand in order to remove the content that has been determined to be objectionable. We apologize for the time this may take, as our limited staff is having to perform this clean up on an item by item basis. In the mean time, if you find material that you feel we may have missed, please notify us via email at staff@inkedfur.com. This will aid us in bringing a service that is more comfortable to the fandom at large as quickly as possible. We note that some items had previously been incorrectly labeled and will be staying on the site with the correct tags and descriptions as per the creator's intentions. We again apologize for any inconvenience or discomfort that this situation may have caused.
Also of note, InkedFur is currently undergoing some staff shuffling. More on that as things are finalized.

InkedFur Party YCH Status
Posted 10 years agoHi there!
I know some of you maybe wondering why we started a YCH when the previous one isn't done yet. Mainly because this one will directly benefit the artists more and we want to get it done in time for Halloween.
The previous YCH is almost complete! staggard is currently shading everything and doing the lighting. Making everything look sexy.
Again, we could not have predicted it would take three months. One of the artists got sick which threw off the entire flow. We thought it was better to wait for her to get better than to change the roster after everyone paid for it.
As an apology, in addition to the 11x14 print of the commission, you may select another 11x14 print of any image on our site! We hope this will help compensate for our lack of speed and missing the 5 week window.
We will be emailing everyone once it's complete to find out what print they want. Be thinking about it!
Sincerely,
James Hoyt

Our Stance on YiffParty
Posted 10 years agoHello art lovers,
As some of you may be aware, many artists who want to keep eating and paying bills are having their content stolen and posted on a website for anyone to download on a whim. This includes high-res comic pages, exclusive art, and high res PSD files. This could affect our bottomline, but more importantly, this is adversely affecting many artists who have art as their only job.
InkedFur has taken action against Yiff Party and have been met with incompetence from Cloudflare as they forwarded our owner’s personal cell phone, email, and full name to the malicious website owners. This is stupid.
Not only that, but many of our artists have had their personal info posted and have had their emails attacked (bombed) just for filing a report.
We are so outraged that we have contacted a local attorney who is investigating this situation. While this website may be owned overseas, it’s hosted by OVH, an international company. They are protected by Cloudflare, a US company. So yes we will hold them accountable for this.
If you are an artist that is on Yiff Party, here are some things to do. Please note that you do not need to put your phone number on these forms and you should use an email just for this. We recommend going with spamgourmet.com to generate an email address temporarily that will max out at a set amount of messages.
CloudFlare: https://www.cloudflare.com/abuse/form (your personal info will be given to the web owners)
OVH: https://abuse.ovh.ca/
Aplnames: http://alpnames.com/report-abuse.html
I am currently in contact with an attorney about this and there is talk about possibly going to court. Now us as InkedFur do not hold any copyrights on the artwork, that is our goal, but we will help rally the artists together.
If you are one of the creators that had their content stolen by Yiff Party and based in the US, contact us directly if you are willing to come forward in court about this. I’m not sure it will go this far but we want to be ready. I have an attorney who wants to take names and start reaching out to the artists at no charge.
InkedFur will not stand idle as artists in our community are railroaded. Please join us in this fight.
Thank you,
James Hoyt

SSL Certificate Expired
Posted 10 years agoWe're really sorry but the certificate started to expire during CaliFur and we didn't have anyone on our web team available. We upgraded the certificate to something more secure, but the certificate company is pushing us to register on this private website for $500 and I'm fighting it. Instead, I'm trying to get listed with bbb.org and hopefully they'll approve it there.
Really sorry about this. The site is safe to use but I understand if you don't want to use or order anything from it for the time being.
Issue should be resolved in a couple days.

Website Temporarily Down
Posted 10 years agoThe website is being moved to a faster server, and during this process, our webhost has seemed to have caused the whole WordPress database to reset. We have plenty of backups and they guarantee they'll fix it, they just don't know when.
It should be up shortly. In the meantime if you need to get in touch with us, write us at kamilla@inkedfur.com.
Again, we are sorry. We did not expect any downtime.

Seeking a Male Voice Actor (Paid Gig)
Posted 10 years agoInkedFur is working on producing a professional-quality commercial, and we need someone to voice Kamilla. The cuter, gayer, and more submissive sounding the voice the better. We're not looking for too much sexy and moaning just the right amount of shyness and teasing.
This will be for about 30 seconds of audio. We would prefer to pay in store credits but can work something out.
Please comment below or email kamilla[at]inkedfur.com for more information. Please send a link or short MP3/AAC file showcasing your voice.
Bonus credit if you could also write the script =D
Thanks,

Calendars and Commissions!
Posted 10 years agoAfter several suggestions, we have added a new service where we will print commissions you've purchased of your character if the artist provided you with a high quality file. We are still working on tweaking the upload system, but it is working rather good already. Keep in mind, we may not be able to print everything and we will verify ownership of the piece. We will then prep the image for our printer, print it, verify quality, and mat it if you so desire. These prints are not to be resold. Order prints of your commission now!
If you are an artist looking to make prints of your own creations, please apply as an artist to join InkedFur. Once you have, you will get much lower rates for printing your own commissions, up to 80% off our listed price! Obviously, you wouldn't get royalties from purchasing your own prints.
Also we just go the 2015 calendars in. Due to most of our general pinups being boys, it's an all boy calendar! Hopefully next year we can have a boy and ladies calendar.
So get one ordered while we have them in stock =D

Thanks for a successful con!
Posted 11 years agoWe had a blast at Midwest Furfest, minus the Chlorine attack, and we were thrilled with how well our prints did in the art show. We have all of you to thank. Some prints we did not expect to go as high as they did. Due to that, we have removed the matting options for some of the prints that did well. This way the winner has an exclusive piece. In future art shows, we will be using more expensive mat board that you can't get on the site and we will have more large prints. One thing we noticed were the smaller prints were more popular. Do you all prefer small images at cons? Please let us know. We suspect transporting large matted prints with a plane is not the most convenient thing to do. So we have finally ended our sale as all good things must come to an end, but you may have noticed some adjustments in pricing. We have found a better supplier for mat board and printer ink and we want to pass the savings onto the customers! We also still need to make a profit to keep the site going and to help us afford to be at more conventions and get dealer space. We also don't want to undercut our own artists. It's a balance we are working on finding and we feel we're rather close to it. Thanks again for the business at Midwest Furfest. It's appreciated and keeps us motivated. <3 Kamilla

InkedFur Has Launched!
Posted 11 years agoWe are excited to finally launch InkedFur after five months. There is no better time than Black Friday! Right now we are having a sale through Monday where you buy four prints and get the cheaper print for free. Can you buy 8 prints and get 2 free? Yes! Buy 80 prints and get 20 free?! YES. Despite the fact we're giving away prints, all artists will be compensated as if the print sold for full price. Remember to tell your friends about this site so we all can support these amazing artists that have lent their talent to InkedFur.
Speaking of, new art will be added throughout this weekend. The site will continue to receive weekly updates of new art as artists submit them. We are always growing even though we just launched so be sure to visit often. You can track when we upload new art from our Twitter page.

So Close! (or just panting hard?)
Posted 11 years agoNo seriously! We're close to launching.
We are doing some finalization of the site design and a little more work on the logo and we're good! Just to get an idea of what we've been up to since July, here's a quick rundown:
- At Anthrocon 2014, we made the rounds recruiting artists to join our team. We passed out over 40 brochures and heard back from a quarter of them. We followed up with others we didn't hear from and got them on board too! Ditching PayPal as a method of receiving payment has encouraged a lot of artists to join.
- Setup an entire cart in eBay's Magento later abandoning it when we saw the plugins for it cost $300-800! Forget that.
- Got
jijix officially on the team and her friend
sineotter that worked on the late Blue Taboo on board then switched to WooCommerce, which is WordPress based and the extensions are all mostly under $100 (some around $20) and it's SO much easier to add products and manage paying commissions to different artists. This also meant adding all the products again *grown*
- Acquired a payment reseller to get online payments up and running that has no qualms with all the sexy art we want to sell. This was a relief. Also, they are much much cheaper than PayPal's fees.
- After test runs with several brands and paper types, settled on getting Ultra Satin paper from RedRiverCatalog.com. This paper was highly recommended by michelelight and she uses the same paper.
- Posted over 300 available prints, most with four different paper sizes or more to be printed on.
So right now we just got to do a few test orders and finalize some of the design. Keep note, once we launch, we will be continually making it a visually pleasing, but more importantly, and easy to browse and search website.
We look forward to serving you all. <3
