Um, hi there everyone. How’s it going? So, bit of news, I’m gonna start posting some of my stuff here again, considering the epic snit storm going on over in Melon Husk’s midlife crises. I actually have an insane backlog of art I’ve done (I literally have been doing a minimum of one drawing/sketch a day for almost two years now) so I will NOT be uploading all of it and definitely not all at once. Gonna start with some finished pics, and then start start working through commissions I’ve done, raffles prizes I’ve finished, and also just random doodles I’m a fan of. Hope you enjoy it. :)

So… um… been a while since I posted here, huh? I mean, I've been posting my art and my sketches, but not much in the journal space. Whoops. Sorry. So, quick run-down since last year: I've lost seventy pounds since last March, my roommate moved to Washington last year, I've started drawing every day, and I'm also streaming video games almost every day for a month or two now. And this journal is about the latter…

I got invited to the Twitch affiliate program! This is super exciting and I don’t really know if I can maintain it, but wow. I’m gonna be house-sitting for a week or so and should be able to start up a new game soon, and a friend recommended I try streaming different games on different nights to keep things more interesting for me and my viewers, so we’ll see what happens. But. This is really cool. :)

More than 13,000 backlogged messages, almost a year of uploaded art to get through… and I'm finally through it all. Zero submissions in my alert bar. All gone. Phew.

Woot.

Now I've just gotta upload my OWN backlog of commissioned art. :p

So, yeah, really excited about this personal milestone, finally turning some things around from the pandemic, and admittedly from before it. About a month or so ago, I checked my weight and realized I was at 311 pounds. Freaked me out a bit, but the upside was I finally started properly watching what I eat and exercising a lot more. Less snacks, way less sodas, less eating out and more focus on protein and veggies, the basic stuff but habits we'd fallen out of practice doing. And today I hit 289.5, so I'm sub 290, which was my first big weight loss goal. My next goal is to get down to 275, another fifteen pounds, and down to a weight I haven't been at for a few years. And then, well, let's see if I can lose some more. So, it's gonna be a journey, but I feel a lot better about myself and how I'm going.

… sorry about that. I have a… pretty bad backlog of art notifications stretching back a year or so (currently 11,000 images to get through) that I basically ignored because of depression and other general malaise issues, and now I'm slowly working my way through them. So, if you suddenly get like ten or twenty favorites from me, love your stuff, have a great day. Hopefully I can get through them all… eventually.

Oh hey, been a while. Yeah, I'm bored, and I've got a few weeks of downtime ahead of me, so I'm gonna open up story commissions again. Or, heck, if you want to commission me to try and draw you something, that's okay too. I mean, if you're a sucker for punishment. I'd like to improve my drawing skills too, so, why not? Sketches open as well.

Since it's been a while, I'll just use my old price set: fifteen bucks for the first thousand words, ten bucks for every thousand after that, we'll agree on a target goal after we talk over your idea and how long I think it sounds and I'll try hard to stick to that. And of course tips are always appreciate. And, oh, I dunno, ten bucks for something like this, I guess?

Um, depression ups and downs, wrote a kid's book, still editing it, tried to draw, roommate still with health issues, grandparent health scares, just trying to make it day to day. Fun fun fun.

And now I'm thirty one. Woooooo. *confetti* Wow, what a year it's been. Ups and downs, roommates with major health issues, a hospital trip… fun fun fun.

So, let’s skip the long life of poor dieting and eating habits that led to this moment, and get to the main event. Sunday night my stomach starts hurting, but I think it’s just food poisoning.Monday I started throwing up. Like all day long. And the pain gets worse. I couldn’t keep water or liquids down, and eventually dried blood started showing up when I threw up. Not good. My dad drove me to the emergency room and helped me get checked in, and it was determined that I wasn’t in immediate danger so as soon as they’d got my IV (and morphine!) in and had done a cat scan and ultrasound I was moved into the hospital proper and put in a room. The next day, the doctors determine that it’s gallstones and gastroenteritis, and it fits a pattern of similar situations over the past several years. I ended up spending Monday night, Tuesday, and most of Wednesday in the hospital, which was not an enjoyable experience (god I slept like crap and was bored and listless), but after a round of antibiotics and a discussion with the surgeon we decided to wait on surgery for a month or two to make sure my body was recovered from the infection, and hopefully have me lose a few pounds too. After demonstrating I could hold down liquids and solids without throwing up again, I was checked out last night and sent home to rest. And after failing to get any sleep last night due to anxiety and stress, I think - THINK - I should do better tonight.

So, that’s where I am right now: exhausted, dietary changes, surgery in the near future, and a new source of stress. But I’m in a good mood. This is a wake up call to me, one I desperately need, and I’m gonna use this to turn my health around. I got lucky this time, and I had a great medical team helping me out.

And that’s been my life since Sunday. Wooooo.

Wait, when did I hit that many? Holy cow that’s a lot of you! Thank you all for watching my weird little corner, I’ve got some commissioned artwork I’ll upload tonight to kind of celebrate. Wow, that’s cool. Thank you all again, you’re all great.

Sorry I’ve gone so quiet, relatively speaking, it’s been a busy several months. I’ll try and post about that at some point, and maybe get some stuff up for you all to enjoy.

I think I'll avoid thoughts about the day for a little bit. Suffice to say, wow, I'm thirty. I'm oooooooold. I guess this means I need to leave the fandom now, right?

So! Been a while. How're you guys doing? Been a rough few months too. Work's been tight, bill's been eating up pay, some stress and depression issues that I'm trying to work through, and the usual stresses of life. And I turn thirty in like five weeks. So, there's that!

So, as you can see, I've started posting some commissions! I'm actually working on a few other commissions right now, and afterwards I'm planning to open up again. I've got a few side projects I'm slowly working through, which I really should have finished by now. Some of those ideas include a weekend baby play story, a sequel to Baby's First Bookclub, and some of my books. So, if you're interested in commissioning me, keep an eye open here. PS: Oh! And I've got another idea for a YCH. It might be a bit cliché of a plot point, but it's always fun to revisit old ideas. As to what the idea is… well, that's a secret for right now while I figure out if I want to do it.

Yeah, I'm gonna try something a little different here.

I've got an idea for a story, not too long, only a few pages (1.5-2k words), featuring an adventuring band exploring a dungeon where not all is as it seems and strange dangers await around every corner that turns into a regression story, and I thought some of your guys might want to get in on that. There are three characters in the story, and a certain diapered dastardly fate happens to two of them! Bum bum buuuuuuum!

Character 1: The fighter! This guy gets regressed. TAKEN! animorph11

Each character is ten dollars, you can pick your specific build within the major class, and the story should be done by the end of this weekend, depending on how many people are interested. Hey, guys, sorry I've been fairly quiet recently. Money's been tight, I've been busy, and I was sick for a month with crappy sleep followed by hurting by back and more crappy sleep, mixed in with rehearsals and a run for a production of The Little Mermaid. It's been a long month and a half. So, for those waiting for stuff from me, or just wanting to see stuff from me in general, I'm working on stuff and will hopefully have it up soon. :)
