This is a really stupid journal and I admit it
Posted 15 years agoand i'm probably going to be too ashamed of it to keep it up for very long.
Here's what's been established:
1) FA has lost it's transaction provider, AlertPay, is not elligable to sign back up with them, and it's donation funds have been seized.
2) All the major furry websites (In particular, those that have allowed or hosted cub) use AlertPay. It is only a matter of them being reported to AlertPay to have the same thing that happened here, happen there.
Speaking of which:
3) A crazy, gun-wielding (and not the good kind, like me) lunatic has gloated already about reporting InkBunny to Alertpay. InkBunny is currently or will soon be in much the same boat as FurAffinity and is shopping around for other handlers for their transactions.
4) What has been banned on FA is only the hardcore depictions of minors (IE sexual intercourse, genitals, etc). Whatever Pedophiles frequent this website will still come here for the suggestive and softcore art. Pedophiles would still be here regardless. Pedos. Pedos everwhere.
5) The ban has not resolved the issue of AlertPay dropping FA. Dragoneer is still without someone to handle the site's online funds and if anything will only slightly improve the chances he has to find an alternative.
6) This will not make the furry community look better. FurAffinity's staff had about as much a choice of banning this material as Joseph Fritzl had to turn himself in to the authorities (Afterr he was arrested and charged). FA has long held it's ground on the subject of cub porn and even when they finally did ban it, they banned it regretfully and after the fact.
Here is why what's happened, happened:
1) No banking / credit card / online transaction business wants anything to do with child pornography. These institutions work with law enforcement as much as they can to ensure their services aren't supporting the distribution of such material.
2) Outside of furry, anime, online culture in general, the murky territory that loli / cub / etc finds itself is not the sort of area these companies want to do business in and, for them and the rest of the world, there is no discernable difference between a drawing and a recording. And who can blame them? I didn't even see the difference for the longest time in the world.
3) AlertPay is a private organization. It does not need to recognize civil liberties outside of the regulations it already submits to (barely) against the discrimination of gender, race, sexual orientation, class or nationality. Outside of this and as a business, it has a right to refuse service to anyone and will gladly do so to maintain it's profit margin. Handling the transactions of a site that hosts even simulated and fictional child pornography is not worth the outcry it will cause in the public, media and the house of congress.
4) Noone wants to be "Soft" on sex crimes. Even if no crime is technically taking place.
Here's my bullshit theories:
1) AlertPay may have been obligated by law to seize FurAffinity's funds due to a report of child pornography. Upon their own investigation, they would not see the difference between a drawing and a photograph. If that is the case, AlertPay may be in contact with the authorities. An investigation could be pending if it wasn't already for instances in the past. In short: v&
2) All of the websites which have hosted cub (And by extension, loli, etc) which do business with AlertPay will go offline as they're reported, due to lack of funds and no viable alternative.
3) Cub has just been banned from the entire internet. Not by law, but by the online financial industry. Now it's only a matter of reporting the sites that host it. Turns out capitalism does work (some of the time).
4) The Furry community is going to change. Painfully. The chances of sites like FurAffinity, SoFurry, InkBunny, etc surviving are slim. New Art Galleries and misc other sites are going to sprout up in their wake. The Smart ones are going to remember the circumstances that allowed them to exist and not repeat mistakes
5) I think I know who snitched. And if it's who I'm thinking it is, this individual will be very, very disappointed when everyone finds out that he / she ruined furry for everyone and we all collectively tar and feather him out of our ice cream social while saying very mean things about him.
UPDATE: The same person that reported Inkbunny to AlertPay also reported SoFurry. He's probably also reported or will report e621 at this rate along with all other furry websites hosting or allowing cub. He's also advocating in his FA that everyone write to their politicians to illegalize the shit and treat it the same as photographic child pornography.
Inkbunny is currently in the process of trying to become it's own processor for online transactions, IE a furry paypal. I'm lightly curious to see if other furry sites begin using InkBunny's service and this just engrains cub (And to some extent, pedophilia) that much more into the furry community.

Posted 15 years agoPartially finished prologue for The Living & The Dead
It is the 9th of November, 2008. At precisely 9:11 in the morning, a nuclear explosion levels New York City. The small nuclear device detonated near ground zero wipes Manhattan off the earth completely. 15 minutes later, the 43rd President of the United States - George Walker Bush - Declares a national emergency. At noon, the 2008 elections are cancelled. Bush later goes on national TV that night promising a renewed effort on the war on terror and drastically increased Surveillance on American Soil. A new patriot act bill is hastily drafted, voted on by the house & senate, and is signed into law in 4 days time. No criticism towards the Bush Administration ever seeps into the media for allowing the 2nd 9-11 to happen, whether by incompetence or disregard. Two weeks later, massive rallies in Los Angeles, DC, Miami & Chicago are violently broken up by riot police & national guardsmen, as well as Blackwater operatives. On the 2nd of December, Martial Law is declared as the US invades Iran from it's Iraqi and Afghan borders. Internet access is blocked throughout the continental United states on the 3rd as the news media begans running propaganda from the CIA & NSA. On the 4th, the Draft is reinstated.
On the 1st of January, 2009: following a collapse of the economy and overwhelming international criticism, George Walker Bush is assassinated by a Secret Service Agent on Air Force One. What followed in the coming monthes was social upheaval without parallel.
California Secedes from the United States of America on the 10th. The California National Guard is recalled from the frontlines and finds itself Crossing into Nevada on the 3rd of Febuary following scattered reports of of harassment along it's border. Thus began a chain reaction of secessions and invasions of other states, rampant rioting, guerilla attacks, and the collapse of local governments besieged by rogue factions. News reports around the world show a collapsed America in absolute anarchy and chaos. Images of battle torn american cities litter the periodicals. Ghastly reports of rampant civil and human rights abuses tell what little the pictures leave to imagination.
By August of that year, over 50 million Americans had fled the country. Most ending up in Canada, with 10 million crossing the Mexico border before Felipe Calderon closes it's border with California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas. On September 7th, the remnants of the Federal Government, holed up in a now fortified DC, leaves the UN and declares all debt owed to China, Israel, and all other countries null & void. Thus escalating the worldwide recession into depression. In the resulting mayhem, war spreads across the globe like wildfire, and civilization enters a horrifying and uncertain dark age.
Years have passed. Mexico is at war with Guatemala, and also it's own criminal elements. American refugees, with no opportunity, no support from the government or society; most commonly become the grunts of the drug cartels and guerilla groups. Their shock troops. Their human shields. In a bid of survival, the unwelcomed american becomes an even greater periah than he was when he first ran south. This is where we begin: In an impoverished mexico city suburb that has just been witness to another gun battle between Zeta gunmen and the Mexican Army. The figure of a tired and worn out fox lays on the sidewalk, back leaning into the wall. He is red and of European origin, marking him as american, with designer shoes and clothing marking him further as as mexican mafioso. A messenger bag to his side: Two thirds of the way empty of it's content of assault rifle magazines. An FX-05 lays in his lap, taken from a mexican soldier's body from the gun battle he just fled from. His left hand limply slides off the thing's handguard and grabs for the third bottle of corn beer from the six pack. His eyes are dead. Soul-less. What little he had left of himself when his parents shoved him on that last train south is lost, now.

Neo Ned
Posted 15 years agohttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bsVif1jYZXM
Making a seperate journal for this. May put it in with the other youtube movies later.
The premise is pretty much this:
A skinhead Neo Nazi ends up in a mental institution finds / befriends / falls in love with a black chick that thinks she's the second coming of Adolf Hitler.
As absurd as all that sounds, it's an amazing, beautiful movie and I couldn't recommend it to you hard enough.
Seriously. Just watch it.

It's low and petty, is all it is.
Posted 15 years agoIt doesn't really matter for me how much someone has a ton of bad shit coming to them, it's just sick to see people reveling in someone's pain and suffering.
If they deserved to get where they're at, fine, but let them suffer on their own. Rubbing salt in the wound is just sorry and puts you on the same level as whatever asshole you're doing it to.
I don't know.
I'll probably catch flakk for this but whatever.

I need to explain myself.
Posted 15 years agoIt was about a few months back, my mother went to a gas station to meet up with a police officer. She needed him to call off their investigation on a moving company nearby, who had been firing onto our property, trespassing at one point even, and beyond that: Peppering our house, cars, and barns with birdshot. It was a repeat of dove hunting season last year: I was even getting shot at. Someone was even blowing up clay pigeons over our property.
Why call off the cops? She was threatened by a kid in a local gas station and she was worried about this van that was continuously driving back and forth around our ranch like the driver was scoping it out.
So she did it. The officer listened, I think. She got cigs while she was there, drove off, stopped at the light, went when she had a green light.
And then he ran her over.
Some bastard going over 80 miles an hour slammed the front of his Ford F150 into the side of my father's 1994 Dodge Ram. Just behind the driver's rear tire.
When I got there, my mother was in the median of a divided highway, the truck having spun 5 or 6 times without ever flipping over, the tool box having flown 15 to 20 feet in the air. She was dazed, hyperventilating, yet somehow otherwise alright. She was wearing her seatbelt. Thank god.
The other truck? All four wheels left the ground, the thing almost slamming into the gas station (Which would've been ironic, as I'll explain), avoiding it and crashing through a good hundred yards 0f heavy brush and trees after bashing it's way through a fence. It was incapacitated. The driver and passengers (?) weren't. The police officer that just met with my mother not a moment before ran his ass off through all that mesquite and grass to find it empty, save for empty and have empty bottles of gin & vodka they found inside.
A baker's dozen cop cars, K-9 units, and a fucking helicopter could not find any of them. The owner of the truck is older than my mother, even. A good late 60s to early 70s.
...My parents are still able to drive that Dodge Ram, somehow. If your ever in the market for a used truck and need something that can take abuse, a 1994 Dodge Ram 1500 is a good choice. My parents know that from experience.
She's still suffering back pain, having had two or three vertebrae broken from the accident. She's been out of her neckbrace for awhile and can move around, but needs someone to do the harder tasks around the house.
We got less than 3000 out of Allstate (The drunk's insurance provider) for damages done to the truck. If you want an auto insurance provider that'll treat the people you ran over like total dogshit, you now know who to go to.
We still don't know anything about who was driving that truck. All we know is common sense: A 70 year old, drunk and having just gone through a really major fucking accident cannot stand up right, let alone dodge the cops.
We don't know if by the time we reach a settlement that they (My parents) are even gonna be in the green, or can afford a new farm truck, or the medical bills.
We may be completely screwed after this is all done with.
...
This may not be my place to do so, but for all the pain and suffering and complications that this bastard has brought upon us, I cannot say he deserves the full scope of prison's complete and total molestation of the human mind, body, & soul. And beyond this, for what he has done unto my mother, I have forgiven him. We need what financial reparations we can get to rebuild our lives, sure, but beyond ensuring that he fully understands what he has done, admits it, feels guilt and comes out of all this a changed man for the better, I can not ask for anything more.
I don't want this man to suffer. I want him to redeem himself.
For me. For my family. For his own family. For society.
I have forgiven the kid so much like Dragoneer's nephew who stole my psp and constantly antagonized me.
I have forgiven the childhood bully who, just a little over a year ago, nearly choked me to death and threatened to bash my brains out with a hammer when I woke up.
I have forgiven my so called friends for not helping me, if for nothing else, than to save from having cops all over their property for a dead body. My dead body.
I have forgiven the possible pedophile that allowed psychopaths to harass me every single day in junior high. For even going so far as to set up fights between me and fellow students.
I have forgiven those kids for every last single thing they did to me, which went beyond tearing my property apart, or breaking my glasses, or stabbing me with pens, or thumbing my food. It went into every last conceivable means of antagonizing others.
I forgiven them all and the manager whose gas station was nearly destroyed. I forgive him for having used his power in the community to prevent an overpass from being built to replace the intersection my mother so nearly lost her life at. An overpass that could have potentially slowed down business for him over a good 6 months to a year. Had that overpass been built, the gas station manager would've never gotten so close to losing his business, and the many countless accidents (They happen every other day at this intersection) that happened before this one would've never happened. There could even be a few people still alive, today, if that overpass was built back then.
I have forgiven everyone who has ever committed a trespass against me, and beg of god for these wayward souls to see the error in their ways and find some means of redemption.
Even the pedophile staff member, who I told a former campus police officer about and begged of him to warn the school district's staff of (I couldn't allow myself to keep quiet about it. He may've done far more to others than he ever did to me).
I cannot say I can ever see too many people ever having the same painfully humanist streak as I do, but for me, I feel enlightened. I feel above those that have transgressed against me. I feel sorrow for them and whatever trauma they endured to have ended up such broken and twisted individuals.
What more can I hope for than to see these lost souls understand the error in their ways and seek redemption?
I am sorry to bother you with all this philosophy and religion. I merely needed to bring depth to my volition on the matter of crime & punishment. I have been wronged, but see no point in causing any more pain & suffering in this world. There is too much of it as it is and I can only wish for something more constructive.
Much as I thank you for reading this, I fear these admissions will haunt me.
Be a dear and be gentle about this, will you?
