Hey friends. I'm looking for an artist to help me with a particular commission. Piece I want is a mockup of the Uma Musume horsegirl game interface, with my OC horsegirl, in a res high enough to print it out in 16x20 poster size.

Basically making an inspiration for workout training for myself.

This website, and by association Dragoneer, have been a part of my life for longer than any other single platform I've spent time on. It has helped me find my people; I've made friends, found exploration of self, and brought me into the community.

There's much to be said about the failings of the system that allowed this fate to befall Dragoneer. And I know there's much that people have to say about the man himself, or the quality of the site and its engineering.

For the moment though, I think all of that should be put on the back burner, just for now. It's important to take a moment to acknowledge the losses in a community, whether they be humble members, coordinators, or pillars of the community.

Tonight, I have a silent toast to Dragoneer; what he created has helped me and so many others, and brought us together in a world so splintered.

I'm looking for an artist who can do pet portraits well. I just had to help my lovely 19 year old kitty sweetheart pass over the bridge, and I'd like to set up a proper memorial for him with a piece of artwork..

Working to get a bunch of stuff that has been sitting in my to-do folder uploaded here. Watch this space for more soon, including a couple pieces I'm QUITE enamored of, by Ruaidri and Draekos. Both came out wonderfully well.

This cat had spent seventeen years with me as a companion. He saw me off to college, helped cheer me up when I was sad, and helped me through my dad's surgery. I had to let him go on Tuesday. We didn't see it coming. He had cancer everywhere.

I've been back in the country for a week. China... was a thing. Was interesting, not too excited to go back anytime soon, heh.

I'll be back in a few weeks, will be out of touch until then. Can explain at that point. Nothing major though.

The real kind, not on FA. I'm in the DC area right now, but... I've been here my whole life. I think it's about time to go. Currently looking at Portland, Seattle, the Bay, Stockholm, Boston... if you know anyone who needs a malware type, I've available. :3

So, a couple weeks ago I finally finished my Masters degree. I'm now done with school! Forever! Woo!

And then I immediately had a business trip out of the country for a couple weeks. =P But now I'm back in the country and free and done, woo! Time to get some commissions, post some art, and have some fun, right?

I got my very first commission for MY artwork this past week, which I'll be working on after Camp. I'll be making a sword on my forge, a decorative piece from Sword Art Online for a friend of mine. Excited!

I'm over there too, as Kjatar. Haven't put anything up yet but I will be. Still will be updating here, as well.

In other news, grad school continues. Good god. Work continues. Dungeon buildout continues as well, though the bits that'll really make it a dungeon are gonna be the furnishings, but the space itself looks quite nice.

Once the weather warms a little, I should have some products from the forge to show off, too. Can't wait!

I'm in the process of setting up a forge at the moment. Got an anvil, hammers, the whole deal, just waiting on a pair of propane burners and a fan to get the proper blast set up.

I still need a lot of practice before I could offer commissions reliably, but what sorts of things would people be interested in? This is going to be a hobby more than a moneymaker, but I do like making things for people. What metal bits would you love to see? Any suggestions would be appreciated, and no suggestion is too deviant. :3
