You know, I don't tend to do this particularly often, but there's a recent artist who hasn't been here on FA particularly long but has some serious skill. I picked up some art from them and I am simply blown away by how amazing they are. (Sure, it was an adopt, but everything is done by hand with no bases). Go give them a watch, maybe make a bid more than minimum on what they have left to buy. Will be uploading what I got sometime today.

Today is April 26th, the annual geekdom holiday celebrating the Alien Franchise. Happy Alien Day. And hopefully, Alien: Romulus will be a smash hit this year.

I learned today that on Thursday, Feb 1st, the world lost the amazing Carl Weathers, who is best known as Apollo Creed, Chubbs in Happy Gilmore, Colonel Dillon in Predator and Greef Karga in Star Wars, passed away in his sleep. God Speed.

I was saddened early this afternoon to hear that the legendary singer Tony Bennett had passed away from complications from Alzheimer's Disease. Man was born in New York, died in New York, but his fame was global. Though many know his most famous song, "I Left My Heart in San Francisco," he did so much more than that. I rode home from work listening to his collaborations with several artists and I finished it up at my computer with Tony and the legendary Billy Joel's New York State of Mind. You earned that rest, Tony.

Happy 39th Birthday to one of my favorite Comedy and Horror movie franchises of all time, Ghostbusters. To the living cast of Bill Murray, Danny Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver and Rick Moranis, congrats on standing the test of time, and may God protect Harold Ramis still, as we still miss ya, Spengler.

This afternoon, while I was at work, my family took our last and beloved dog, Xena, to the vet to have her put to sleep. I know she'll be waiting for me and my kin in Valhalla. It's just hard to say good bye to pets, and harder when you can't be there at the end. I'm not asking for any prayers or anything like that, just as much love as you can spare for a senile dork of a dog and her best friend.

Actress Angela Lansbury passed away today at the age of 96. Star of Murder, She Wrote, Bedknobs & Broomsticks, Ms. Potts in the original Beauty & The Beast, and many more roles. She was a true legend.
